Where do you get the clothes for Chibi Unoas?

 

Slim MSD short sleeves and shorts fit. I have 2 tshirts and a nine9style pair of shorts that work. The shirts are a little too long for my tastes, so I tuck them in. Some YOSD short sleeve shirts will fit, but might be short and show a bit of belly.

Nine9style bunny 9 tops and stretchy bottoms fit my girl. I'm not bothering to try shorts bc the bunny 9 hips are smaller. So far I've tried the white dress with bloomers (it's a little big in the chest area), a pink sweater dress that's a little tight in the hips but not bad, and a pair of white stretchy Jean leggings .... And those fit perfectly.

Kish 14" shoes are a little big but look in scale. Bunny 9 shoes are a perfect fit and well worth the money imo.

There are a few sellers that make chibi clothes, but their styles are more mori like.

 

Mine wear some yo-sd/littlefee sized clothes (shorts and short-sleeved tops. Long trousers are capri-length on Chibis). I favour Boneka clothing for many of my dolls and they do Narsha sized clothes as well as other options for dolls of around that size.

Atelier Momoni makes specifically Chibi-sized clothes and shoes, and Brennil's MNF-sized capris and short-sleeved tops work. Brennil (Her Delicate Strength) has a halter top and halter dress pattern that is a PERFECT fit for the Lilin body.

Roron can wear short-sleeved/knee-length dresses from Ellowyne Wilde (Tonner brand -- I often get the outfits on eBay.) Lilin (and flat-chested regular Unoas) can wear some Ellowyne things, but they're so-far guaranteed to fit Roron.

I have my one Roron-bodied girl in a Yo-sized dress right now -- Lilin usually can't wear Yo stuff, Roron can. But Lilin can more easily wear full-sized-Unoa clothes because of her larger chest

ETA: Deb's Adorables (also sells on eBay) is a good source for the 14" Kish-sized shoes and sandals that are such a great fit on Chibis!

My modded sleeping Lilin has a body It's a MSD Unoa body but I figured she still belongs to this thread. And she has a name now, Pebbles.

Also, she's using a Buff headback, and I realise it fits the chibi faceplate really tightly.

 

Oh, she's so pretty but so sad! I just want to hug her, hand her a kitten and tell her it'll be okay!

I've been sick in bed for a few days, and not able to sit up or move around for very long, so propped up on pillows, I've been sewing!
Earlier this month I had used snippets of free time to make a sort of wig, but it's not quite the style I want. It'll do for now.



I've named her Chioma. Her traveling clothes are kind of a mishmash of northern styles and southern tastes in colors and fabrics. At home she'd wear a wrap dress without sleeves or straps, but her story takes her to colder places where one begins to see the point of trousers and sleeves.

 

The outfit works very nicely. I'm glad you were able to use the time to put something together for Chioma. I'll bet she is too.

Littlefee Dark Elf Soo with a Unoa Chibi Lilin


I have a normal Lilin faceplate for sale right now (and a sist). and the only reason Im selling them is that I only have 1 headback.
I tried to make a headback but its not as pretty as a real head back. are there more people with this problem? every time I bump them up im like; AARGH I dont wana.
do you just keep the other faceplates and just dont do anything with them? cause I really do like them but I dont have a headback and a body for them so I think someone who can give them love should get them.

 

I have all the faceplates for both Lilin and Roron, but since they're they're different expressions for the same dolls I just swap and change them when I want the doll's expression to change.

I have a Unoa Lusis faceplate hybrided onto another body using a no-original headback but since the headback is all but invisible one the wig is on, I don't care that it looks rougher than an official Unoa headback. Ditto the minoruworld body and copy chibi headback that are awaiting another Chibi faceplate to complete her - the headback won't show so I'm not bothered that it's not an actual Unoa/chibi one.

Cynthevla, my Chibiand two of my unoas (the non-hybrid ones), have several faceplates who are different expressions of the same character, I like to make their expressions change depending of the kind of picture I'd like to take. As for dolls who can be ordered with sleeping heads, I order them, too , so I can give them more expressions. ^_^

As Ashbet said, Buffdolls sells headbacks, I have one for one of my hybrids, and it's wonderful!!!

Also Cynthevla, I think buff headbacks are probably the easiest way to go for hybrids ^^ I have the same want for getting each of my faceplates a headback. Haha.

Side note, does anyone have any photos of a chibi faceplate hybrided onto a volks yosd body, or any other yosd body that looks proportionate? I'm toying with the idea of making one of my girls shorter, but I don't know if volks bodies would work.

I have a Chibi 5stardoll hybrid! I like the propotion, the body is a little bigger than most Yo-SD but not MSD sized by far (although I dont have a MSD to compare).


I dont really like to buy from outside the EU because 1, shipping costs 2, cutsoms in my country are CRAZY!!! they ask so much money, its not worth it.

 

Thanks for the photo! The funny thing is I actually have a 5Stardoll (Star10, which I assume yours is? Or is yours Star5?), and I can actually go swap the heads to see the match. Which I've been meaning to do, but haven't done. ^^'' I'm not too keen on the poseability of the feet of the 5stardoll body though.



For reference, that's a Normal skin (not yellow skin) 5Stardoll Star 10 Jadeite with a Fairyskin Chibi Unoa on a 1.5 body. I'm sure that her head will fit on the other girl's body, haha. And the resin will match as well. But I'm looking for a body for my other chibi faceplate, which is fresh skin. And hoping for a more standard YoSD sized body because it'll be easier to find cute outfits, haha.

Personal opinion: Neck is too small. Possibly a doll with a thicker neck would look better, like a SOOM tiny?

 

Thank you for the photos! I agree that the neck looks a bit too thin. But the rest of the proportions are rather pleasing.

 

Got my Ronron faceplate back from the faceup artist (Jisatsu)!
Now my little boy has a name and some character.
Meet Daniel, who now thinks he needs a leather jacket and pants.
He has bandaids on his forehead and right cheek, and a few "scuff marks".

Here's a great source I have found for 10mm smaller-iris eyes. I've only just started dealing with this seller, and the eyes do take a bit of time- I think they are made to order, and then shipping out of China is not the most expeditious- but their customer service so far has been good. The eye colors in reality are a little lighter than they are in the example pics, be aware. I like the Medium Iris, Large Pupil combination best- they resemble the MakoEyes for sizes in that combination.

Sorry for the graininess of the photo, I only have my phone camera right now. I took some photos of my Chibi Unoa faceplates on the bodies I have to see the fit, and thought I'll share them.

L to R:
1. Chibi Lilin Roar (fresh skin) on Unoa 1.5 body (fairyskin) with Buff headback (WS)
2. Chibi Lilin Roar (fresh skin) on 5stardoll Star10 body (normal skin, pale and looks rather similar to fairyskin) with Buff headback (WS)
3. Chibi Lilin Sleeping mod (fairyskin) on 5stardoll Star10 body (normal skin) with Buff headback (WS)
4. Same as 3 with a wig.

For some reason the Roar face looks okay on the 30cm 5stardoll body although the Sleeping face does not...

 

Aw man... I ordered a Roron Cool plate through Noppin and just got it a few days ago, and now I find out that UnoAlchemy is offering option plates now! XD Oh well...

I put her on a minifee moe line body and she looks pretty great! It's a little bit taller than the chibi body but slimmer and more delicate, it makes a nice contrast next to my curvy Lilin ^^

I will try to post pictures once I get her faceup done! I'm really happy with my chibi girls

 

I would love to see your Roron on the Moe body next to a Lilin! And I didn't know UnoAlchemy is now offering option parts! Makes it much easier (and more tempting) to get more faceplates and such. Unoa also recently released Tan Sist and Lusis. Wonder if they might do so for the chibis as well?

 

I totally hope for tan Chibis as a regular release! Would love to have a tan Roron as a second dwarf lady ;u;

My Lilin arrived yesterday from UnoAlchemy and I'm in love. Currently in the middle of redoing my doll shelf/area so she's back in her box for safety atm, but I can't wait to get her out and customized!

I just ordered some Bunny9 clothes for my Roron I've been having a hard time bonding with her, even though she's super cute and I love her size. Maybe I'll have her faceup redone. I hate it when a doll you've wanted for so long arrives and there's no spark. I'm going to give my girl a chance though.

 

Sorry it took me so long to upload, but I took a comparison picture of my chibi Lilin and my Roron hybrid on a Minifee moe body. Thought you guys might be interested ^^ Honestly I think the Moe body is just perfect for a chibi faceplate, especially if you want a more delicate look.

@Blablette Thank you ^^ The faceplate is actually Fairy Skin resin (only one available from AL at the time) that I painted to match with watered down acrylics over MSC

 

Hello all! I come to you today with a quick measurement question.

In the distant future I'm considering a Unoa Chibi Roron, and I'd love for her to have jointed hands. Of course Unoa Chibis are a sort of in-between size, so I'm not sure whether 1/4 or 1/6 hands would fit best, and for the life of me I can't find the diameter of a Unoa Chibi's wrist ball so I can figure it out.

Sooo... what's the diameter of a Unoa Chibi's wrist ball? (Bonus points if you can recommend okay resin matches for fresh skin, but I'm willing to try and airbrush the hands so resin match isn't a super huge hurdle.)

 

@ForgetMeNot Personally, I think 1/4 size would probably be the better bet, although either way there might be some scale issues.

My Lilin's outer wrist circumference is about 4.5 cm, the wrist ball is about 1.2 cm in diameter.

They don't sell jointed hands as far as I know, but my girl has Luts NS heel feet and the match is fairly close. The Luts is a little more yellow in certain lights but looks decent with blushing ^^ (I actually overdid mine so now her feet are too pink ^^;; )

 

The Moe body makes her look so different from the Unoa chibi body Thank you for sharing it!

 

Has anyone ever tried a Lusis/Sist faceplate on a chibi body? I'd love to see/know if it works!

 

Can someone tell me what the neck measurement is for a chibi unoa? I can't seem to find it anywhere! :/

 

My tape-measure says it's 7cm.

Did you mean at the base of the neck, like for a shirt collar, or at the top of the neck, like for a head/headback? Because you should know the neck flares out quite a lot at the top to meet the neck socket.
