Hi guys, I finally received my Daisy Doll yesterday! It honestly felt so good to have my very first bjd in my hands. She's better than I expected, and I'm so excited to start making new outfits for her. Her new name is Pollen!

@Ksherwood8713 She does pose well! She is strung a little tight (very common with new dolls I hear). The double/peanut joints in the knees and elbows hold poses really well. Her legs don't kick or anything either. I will need to restring her eventually.

I'm interested to see her too! I received my first (non second hand) doll yesterday and she's a CharmDoll too! I hardly see pics of other CharmDolls; but they're all so cute!

Yeah! Actually how the leg joints looked in the back was a complete mystery to me. Once I saw them I really liked them, they're just cute fat squares lol. She holds poses really well, I would still restring her just so it's not a struggle to get the head on and off the body.

I plan on renaming her, but there's just too many names that I like and find pretty, so until then she'll be Rhea for now. Please suggests some names too, I'm open to any~

I got my Jonasson last week but I'm a bit busy to make a proper pics of him (OMG he's HUGE) but I'm really stunned by the details, Charm doll did an amazing job.

 

AHH!!! I finally ordered my first ever BJD this morning and I'm so excited! I ordered a Charm Doll "Hugh" and I can't wait until he arrives! This waiting is going to be the death of me! haha....

I am waiting for Vibia, super excited! I have been wanting to order her for a while now.

 

A few days ago I ordered Urban Jungle Ethan through Alice's Collections after pining after him for a while! Basically got the full set - the outfit, makeup, and wig. I haven't ordered a company face up since ordering my first doll, and never a full set before, so I'm kinda curious about the difference this will make in wait time.

 

Uwah I ordered Charm Doll Jonasson back in April and today I finally got a message from Alice's Collections that my doll is on it's way to me! I also ordered a Ringdoll body with matching color, that's why it's taken so long. Charm Doll took five months to make Jonasson and the head has been with Ringdoll ever since.

This feels so unreal! There's been so many ups and downs along the way. Charm Doll took a lot longer than I expected, Ringdoll lost Jonasson's very limited head but they eventually found it... Whew, I just hope nothing happens during shipping!
And I hope so hard that Jonasson's head isn't too big or small for the body. Hybrids can be tricky.

This is my first SD doll, I've never even SEEN a SD sized doll before. I thought it would take at least one more month (or two) until the doll was finished, this caught me by surprise!

 

Oh geez, I hope everything goes smoothly from now on!

My fullset Michelle came in today and I am so pleased with her , she poses so well and her face up is amazing . Took them just over 5 months to send her to me but they mailed her out last Friday and I missed her delivery yesterday so I got her today . Acbjd was really great and fast at responding when I asked to upgrade my shipping for her too.

I got my Jonasson and Ringdoll body last Friday! I will post pictures of the box opening later (in the gallery). Just one thing- Alice's Collections forgot to send Jonasson's skeleton body. 8D It's ok, I don't mind since I'm going to sell it anyways. I'm going to get it next week or the week after it.

I haven't been able to put the Jonasson head on the Ringdoll body because Ringdoll's body has a metal ring instead of a hook. It's too wide for the head, so the head doesn't fit. ToT I'll have to either restring the doll or get him a S-hook. Very frustrating after nine months of waiting, but can't be helped.

That stunning full set was just too hard to resist I've got to admit that I'm a bit nervous, though, since you don't hear much about Charm Doll as a company. What are their dolls like, if you guys have one of them already?

 

Oh Yeah, I think I saw that on one post online when I was searching for photos of michelle.. and you just had a pacifier on her lips to cover it up for the mean time... is that it? I'm sorry hear what happen to her lips. is the make-up of CharmDoll really that fragile??

Three weeks ago I just placed my order for two (2) CharmDoll dolls: CD-Michelle and CD-Anthee. Both Yo-SD's. I did it via Alice's Collections. How about yours? According to Alice, the wait time for Charm Doll is 5-6months. Good luck with us waiting. XD I got to admit, the waiting kills me! XD Glad there's a page like this in DOA. But yeah, this forum is kinda dead. Hope a lot would post their box opening pics!

 

@cyrillezhane thank you, dear. And same to you! Of all the doll sizes, yo-sd appeals to me, personally, the least, but there's no denying just how cute some of them can be! I also purchased mine through AC, literally at the tail end of the Charm Doll event they had since it was just a bit cheaper than Legend Doll's release event for the Aurora, and I just knew I needed that full set.

Dang! A six month wait? I actually did not bother to check wait times when I ordered, but it's probably for the best. About halfway through that time, I should be getting her girlfriend - one of the Asleep Eidolon MSD mermaids, so as cool as having two new dolls at once is, it may be for the best XD But, I'm sure I can handle it. I have about the same wait for the Doll Chateau boy I ordered a few years ago. I know that I, personally, will definitely be doing a box opening celebration for my Charm Doll. What about you? What big plans do you have for your babies?

 

I owned an MSD and SD before, but I rehomed them to realize that YOSD is actually the size for me. But of course all BJD’s are all beautiful and mesmerising no matter what shape or form. These dolls are just exquisite!

I was planning to get a YOSD from a different company and had planned it for months. I had to prepare thoroughly so that it won’t complicate my budget/savings. Especially because I had planned to purchase 2 dolls. I was actually going for MYOU, but just a week and a half I suddenly switched to CharmDoll. I never realized how pretty their head molds are. And CD-Michelle and CH-Anthee fit the characters that I want them to embody. I know I will be paying more but I believe I just made the right decision.

Yes, I emailed Alice and they confirmed 5-6months. But since i was always asking them with endless inquiries regarding the orders i have placed, I was promised that they will process my order asap to get the shortest wait time. I thik I’ll get my little babies by November.

I’m planning to get Eluts Honey Delf - Taffy for my next doll. Hopefully I can get 3 YO’SD within this year! Yay!

 

yes that is totally it! Im not sure if about the face up maybe I just got a bad batch, maybe I wiped too hard to get the dust speck, too many factors to consider , sorry I haven't posted pictures ,life has been busy lol

I ordered one of their limited outfits in early March and it arrived today They told me it would be about 5 month so not too bad!

My Aurora arrived today! I didn't even know she had shipped, and so I have nothing ready for her BUT!! I am off work tomorrow so I will be opening her up then to check on her.

 

I was just going about my day when I decided to look into one of my emails. I have multiple emails: for work, personal, business, shopping, etc. In other words, I don’t get to check some of them often. But when I did this morning, I was blown away by this awesome news! My little prince is on his way!! He was supposed to arrive this November (6months waiting), but all this time I was unaware that he just got shipped 11 days ago. I only had to wait 4months, what a treat! Unfortunately, my little girl is still stuck in Alice Collections warehouse. I still have a balance of $90 with them. I’ll pay it as soon as I get my next paycheck. I’m sooooo excited!!!

 

Just put a layaway order for the Ver. 2 MSD Boy Body back on October 22. It has just been a few days but I am excited!!! I hope to get him before Valentine's. Will be hybriding the body with my existing almost 2-year old Crobidoll head just because I want my Lulu to have more mobility for creative shots. Hopefully, the hybrid works.

Decided to check with Alice's Collection about my order and they said that Charm Doll is currently still working on early September orders. I guess I should wait until March till mine ships out.

 

I've just ordered a 45cm boy body v.2! I'm so excited, I've been saving since October now it's finally happening!
Now to wait for him to come home...

 

My gosh!!!! Amidst the Covid-19 scare, Alice is shipping out my order!!! I am excited! I asked back on the end of February about my order and they said to wait for 2 to 3 more months but then they just asked for additional fees since I opted for DHL. I hope to get the item some time next week. Good thing my company had us work from home as well.

I think I'll be the first one to show off the ver. 2 boy MSD body of Charm Doll or maybe I'm not looking hard enough. Shoot, I am just excited since it has been 5 months that I waited for this body.

 

Sorry about necroing this thread, but! Just ordered my first all-mine BJD. :> He's an Urban Jungle Ethan through Alice's Collections, and I have big plans for him! I'll admit, I'm a touch jittery just from the spending, but I'm really, really excited about him.
Now I just have to figure out what I need to get ready!

 

Did you get the body and show it anywhere? I'd like to buy one, but I am trying to be patient and wait for an event. I'd love to see owner pictures in the meantime!

 

I actually received it on March 17, as far as I remember. It is a really gorgeous and pose-able body, but I have been rethinking my plans with this body. I'll try to take photos and send them to you via message.

 

Ah my patience paid off and Charm Doll began a new discount event (they seem to run these quite regularly)! Now to wait just a bit longer to see if the dealer also runs an event.

 

After my last post, Charm Doll unexpectedly pulled their event within a few days haha. They’ve just started a new one so I went and finally put my order in. I spent all of July regretting that I hadn’t ordered as soon as the event came up!

I hope the wait isn’t too long, this is the very last body I need for my dolls!

 

Guys I've been waiting for my Charm Doll Renard that I've finish paying on, what? April or May? Through Alice's collection, no news on that. I'm starting to get worried. Should I send them an email? Have they forgotten about me? I am worried also because my email throw important messages on the spam folder often.

 

Ordered my CharmDoll Circe (nude, normal yellow, faceup) on Wednesday (8/19) from ACBJD. Managed to pay in full, so now all that's left to do is wait ... Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly! I just couldn't resist.

 

My 45cm boy body v.2 came in seven months exactly! Aaaahh, he's so gorgeous I can't even believe it!!! Utterly perfect
Shouldn't've got body blush though it's way too intense on his chest/stomach & the color doesn't suit the n. yellow resin; looks like he's having an allergic reaction.

 

@OmicronCeti - Do you have any photos? What's your review of the posing?

As for posing he's got decent range of motion and holds most poses well.
Obviously I wouldn't trust him to stay that way unaccompanied but he can stand on his own.
