Charm Doll Waiting Room

I hope three months is true! I ordered some outfits from them on Oct 31. Did you order directly with them or through a dealer?

 

Oh man, I just got gifted with the news that I'm soon going to be the proud owner of my first doll. Tho smaller than what I intended to start with, I was ordered a Charm Doll Miumiu from their taobao ( 2/16/2018 ). Tho taobao sounds like a fishy site to sell on but their official site links to their weibo to their taobao. I wonder if anyone else ordered from their taobao/know the legitimacy for their taobao since the official site doesn't link it straight to it? I'm easily worried about it.

 

Thanks! I'll probably order from Alice's Collection the next time around since I'm also interested in Flamingo. Since there doesn't seem to be a large group of Charm Doll owners that share, I'd love to see photos of your Urban Jungle Dunn when he comes in.

 

I was told that my Miumiu will have a 2 month wait time. I probably won't get it into my hands until 3 tho!

 

I'd like to order their limited "Back Ghost" doll. Though it isn't written how limited it is. So you said 3 month is the waiting time?

 

I'm pretty sure it's limited only that it is discontinuing after a certain time, I don't think by order amounts. In the case of Back Ghost Jonasson (Aaron is not a limited doll), they stop production on June 2nd, 2018.

After that, I'm unsure too since I ordered a Miumiu and she will be discontinued in a month, I'll keep an eye to see if all they're doing is making it no longer for purchase. Also my process is slightly different as I ordered domestically but my wait time is estimated 2 months.

I ordered a Lon mid-February. My first Charm Doll, so excited! Does anyone know if they’re a part of Loongsoul? I keep seeing references to them?

 

They're sister companies! Charmdoll is under the Loongsoul brand. The artists from Charmdoll are guided by the Artist from Loongsoul. They also use the same production line.

I believe they have an About Us page on their official page.

No, not yet. I suspect it will be mid May or probably later before I see one. But I can't wait!

I posted in another thread that I'm waiting on a Charm Doll DingDang that I ordered back in December through Alice's Collection. The wait is killing me. She's my first doll that I bought from a dealer.

 

Oh how exciting! Charm Dolls are so pretty, DingDang is a lovely sculpt

 

I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. As soon as she gets here, I'm posting everywhere to announce she arrived and I'll do an unboxing for her. I cannot wait!

 

That's great! More unboxing and review information is needed for Charm Doll. That kind of info is hard to come by because it's not a well known company.

 

I just found this thread. I ordered a Jonasson back in March and I am still waiting on a shipping notice.

i ordered on march 18th from legenddoll, and still haven't received a shipping notice as well, but I'm guessing mine will take another 2-3 months since i got my doll in semi-fullest

 

I ordered my doll from Alice's Collection back in April. I asked for an update and they said it would be approximately 5 months because they're busy. So hopefully by August or September my Daisy doll will be here.

 

Last week I ordered Michelle fullset I couldn’t resist her little face , she will be my first brand new bjd all my others have been second hand . I am so very excited and glad to found this thread to see wait times . Ordered her from Alice collections also .

 

Michelle is so adorable! When I saw her promo pics I was left speechless.

 

I know right !!! I fell for her instantly and she reminded so much of my youngest daughter as a toddler lol there’s just something about her face , I hope she looks the same in person

 

I am curious I was never given a time frame that she may be complete, like Alice only says processing and I never got an estimate do I have to ask for one or will the provide one it’s been almost 2 weeks since I ordered , they took the money lol but thats it. Sorry for this question but she is my first doll I’ve bought new .


***EDIT*** I do see in my confirmation email it says 20days to complete and order then 30-150 days for companies to complete it , is that the estimated time frame then ?

 

so I've asked this question to my dealer so many times before as well, and the approximate time for the doll to be shipped to you will be about 4 to 5 months

No problem! Since I ordered her march 18th, I'm worried I won't like her as much since I've seen a few owner pics and I'm not too sure if ill be keeping her.

 

I'm sure you'll feel better once you get her. What exactly do you not like from the owner pics you've seen?

 

I'm worried that the faceup might not show up as well. Judging by other owner pics who got company faceup, it doesnt look like the colors are well pigmented, which would be a shame cause I spent quite a bit to get a company faceup for my first doll

@LapisShufflin that would be a shame if the face-up didn't meet the standard you expected, but I don't think that would be completely terrible. Would you ever consider giving her your own face-up, or having a face-up done by another artist?
It may turn out better than you expected. You're gonna be in the doll hobby for a long time, so it's okay if everything isn't perfect on the first doll.

She's still a nice sculpt, and if you don't have issues with that then I think you're good. The face-up does cost money, but it's still superficial (it can be easily changed). Are you worried about the body sculpt or face sculpt?

 

hahaha i'm personally scared of ruining my first doll with a terrible faceup >.< i think Im worried that the money spent on the faceup will be a waste

 

Here in a couple days will be a month since I placed my order xD how am I gonna wait another 3-4 lol

 

I was like that at the beginning, but I forgot I even had a doll coming in for a couple weeks sometimes xD

 

I think it's better to see it as money invested. Practicing a skill is still working on it. Perfection comes later, but buying the stuff and getting those baby steps done is important to the process. I just made my first doll wig cap last week for a Monster High Doll. I'm practicing all the skills on it first before my bjd comes in the mail.

 

Alice's Collections emailed me yesterday notifying me that my doll will be delivered soon! I'm so excited, I'll be sharing pics! Let me know if you guys want me to take a pic of anything specific. I ordered a Daisy doll in yellow skin, no faceup

Oh no, I'm hitting another stump. Recently, I found a company that sells these adorable sculpts and I'm thinking now if things don't work out for Rhea, I'll sell her and buy two dolls from the other company. Gosh I wish I wasn't so easily swayed like this >.<

(I can't mention the company because it's considered off topic according to DOA rules)

 

@LapisShufflin if you decide to sell Rhea, do you have a price in mind? I'm not sure if answering that is against the rules, so maybe send me a pm? heheh
