Thistle Anne was never much for wearing shoes...but let me tell you...she does love the stomp she gets out of those little boots! Now she won't wear the little black shoes that came with her witch dress...it has to be her green stompin' boots.

 

I just had a brainstorm, Lana, thanks to another thread. While you are waiting for your vamp Fi to show up, why don't you get a teacup Sarangelo (on Etsy) vampire girl? They are a great size to go with FireFlies and other tinies.

 

Lana put some pictures of your lovely Fae's ......oh and please you too DarkStar the face up in progress, I really want to learn to do it better. I am still not satisfied with the face up done for Bida and have to start to do Neo Yoshi.

 

MuJa, I will try to remember to do that for you as I am working on her (warning: I work slow!) and take pictures of each step so you can see what I do. I'll only be using pastels for Pearl (well, except for the teeth - that will be acrylic paint) and she is not getting too heavy a face up except for around the eyes and her mouth. But I will probably do a good bit of blushing on her face anyway (it's just going to be a subtle color) to accentuate some of her features.

 

You know from experience how slow I am ...hehehe
I am not familiar with body blushing too so I love to see how you are doing this. Thanks

I got one of the little Sarangelo redheads Omg gorgeous like a tiny Enchanted Doll - coz lord knows though I am supposedly on that mailing list it's like she could care less - but read the blog of the Sarangelo dollmaker Amazing her reasons for keeping these tiny exquisite dolls so reasonable. Hauntingly beautiful too. Tiggs adores her!

Darkstar: yay! for new faceups, I cant wait to see her!

Spooky: yeah, cafeteria food can be really crappy. the only good thing the one in Mississippi had was awsome Bisquits and gravy. the community college here in Oregon had a pretty good cafeteria. but they had cullinary classes there so.....and they had Chef Will, who fought for the right to use spices in the food that weren't labled salt or pepper! lol

Miri you are much too cute to faceup anyway. Some girls just dont need anything. Its wierd how even the non face up ones look so unique, Lupo and Miri and nothing alike!

TA you may be quite serious but I dont think that little PUke quite believes you! Would be great to find the stomping boots although probably only be Trinity that would stomp in them round here.

I got the redheaded Sarangelo elf girl on her way. I think she developed a resin allergy that is why the shop has been empty . SHe emailed everyone to let them know they would be delayed , she also had many bounced emails saying they were ready so maybe the same thing happened with the wait list. I cant wait to meet her.

 

MuJa, I'm not planning to body blush Pearl - that is way beyond me. She is going to be wrapped like a mummy in celophane so I can just work on her face and not worry about any other bits of her being sprayed or accidentally pasteled or anything like that. I am not up to body blushing level yet!

Thistle Anne, you are most welcome for the boots. If you've got a minipuke running around there, then you need some serious stomping boots to let the little dickens know you mean business! And they look lovely on you!

Is Sarangelo making coffins now? I confess, I succumbed to one at Michael's during Halloween but when you open it it makes this creepy laughing sound, but there is no place to put a doll in it because of the mechanism that makes it play when you open it. Still, likely Pearl will claim it and make me paint it black (or maybe dark purple or maroon - she has some interesting - if creepy - tastes in color), if my RP Aki, Mayhem, doesn't snatch it up first! I have had my Sarangelo lilac haired elf sitting here in her box for over a week now. Just haven't felt like opening her up. We currently have a glut of them - my white human girl who is a ghost, a natural skin, black haired elf (she would make a very good vampire if only she were a bit paler) and now the other elf girl hiding in the box. I am planning on her being a companion for Lotus. The other two live on top of my monitor with the monkeys.

 

My SO got one of those coffins with the soundbox inside. He said the unit wasnt hard to pry out at all...but his pukipuki has to take off the super fluffy wig to fit inside! lol

 

Ohhhhhh DarkStar you have an Aki coming too!!! I love that little imp!

Thistle Anne, you gots to watch out for those gigglemost ones. I stuffs my ears so they don't drives me stomping mad.

 

I have an Aki here, but I have yet to start messing around with him. Everything sort of arrived at once even though there were dolls I was waiting for for six months and a year (I think you can guess who those two sets of dolls were coming from!). But Aki is adorable - I like him far better than Soso even though it is basically the same face. (My Soso may just be regendering after all!)

Those coffins aren't very big at all - I doubt Pearl could get her melon head in it even if I did de-gut it! Might be just right for a minipuke though. It is raining buckets here today, so I will not be able to get Pearl sprayed with her first coat of MSC today. I have another root canal session anyway. Sure hope this is the last!

Sorry Imajica - I meant that Marina Bychkova Enchanted Doll whatever her name is utterly sucks with staying in touch with her newsletter wait list. Lovely dolls but man success seems to have gone straight into a hugemost head now. Anyway what I meant was is that my Sarangelo teacup doll is such a lovely tiny reminiscent of ED but
so reasonably priced and lovingly made. I got the redhead in the pink and lace dress. I didn't know you can get notified by her. Just lucked out one night. Love that redheaded elf girl I think is the one you have coming. Darkstar did you get the fab black haired Vampire? The coffins are made by her dad. I just figured I probably could figure out how to make one. Also I may have paper model ones that may fit tinies. Do need to check.

Am freer today but tons of mail to respond to and my house is such a mess I think I am just going back to bed!

No, I don't have one of her vampires but I have a black haired elf that could probably pass for one, especially if I gave her little epoxy fangs. However, she is in the natural skin (which is still very, very pale!) and the white would just look a ton better for a vampire. But I may just turn that black haired girl into one so Pearl has a vampire friend (if she is anything like the rest of my FireFlies, she will likely take a dim view of dimbutt Realpuki Mayhem - my Aki - besides, he's a he; plus I am not even sure yet whether he is a vampire or a little goblin - he seems rather more goblinish for some reason).

Yes, if you are getting weather anything like what we are having today, I'd opt for going back to bed too. If I hadn't needed to go to the dentist, I'd have spent a lot more time there today. It is just nasty and damp and icky here today. Dismal Fall rainy day!

 

Yep, it was a good day for sleeping. Now I am trying to unbury myself from a ton of owed correspondence - ack... Even Tiggs just hung out in bed today with her peeps. There is a pile there of ByGby, Hunter, Phaedra, Vampfae and Tiggs all piled up in various directions together like they are having a big sleepover - sooooo Cute!
