Daisy! I got my centaurette yesterday (through Plasticnoodles) and she's all I expected and more... and now I'm in love with your kitties! You're mean!! Please stop making those beauties before I get ruined, LOL! I'll post pics of Azucar as soon as I have some of mine ;-). She's sitting in front of my computer screen and I can't stop looking at her. Was just thinking about your dolls the other day an decided to hunt this thread up! The cats so amazing! So cute! I can imagine the centaur's being mind numbing after a while. I still hate that I missed being able to get one T_T
That would be a great if that could be done. I've got one of LadySaiyuki's Ted that were cast by Dennis and his crew, an the quality is great! And they can make them in those amazing colours!

I'm sure if you checked around, there are several doll companies who would be willing to cast your lovely Centaurettes for you! They are so very cute! I saw the one LadyFeather has... my daughter is so very in love with LadyFeathers.... she wants one for her very own when you are ready to cast again! Let me know!
I have no resin right now, it's so weird, we've been moving and fixing our new house, so I just didn't have the time or money to buy anymore resin yet but! I found that I cannot go without making something of some sort every once in a while so, sometimes I pick thru my scrap pieces (mis-cast, off color, air bubbled, or just plain extra) and make little scrap dollies, painting the parts where needed, and in some cases carving out a whole new part from an already cast peice....I love my dremel) I made myself a little Faun and a Centaur this month out of those scrap bits (and my spare elfdoll tiny fists because I had no small cast hands available) you all wouldn't mind peeking at those, would you? I just took some fresh pictures tonight! think of it like eating leftovers.... This is Bowie! she was made from leftover bits, and painted up....with masking tape and spray paint, please don't kill me.....but she really needed something stronger than pastels or acrylics to hide her faults her arms belonged my my Sally Stitches doll.....so pardon the stitches she has bigger feet than my other centaurs, but I think I like them better! What's this little critter? she seems so tiny! and FIERCE! I mean....fierce...so tough! she might just kick my butt (See the elfdoll fists! I blame them for her tiny 'tude!) Lucky for me, Bowie is there to calm her down And to explain that we are just taking pictures
So, what is this tiny terror? a Faun! I can't watch Narnia movies and not want a faun for my own! I even made her pose with a lamp post..../geek you can really see how rough her paint job is here....but you can also see faun butt! little hippie looking thing!

Wow those are great O_o I wish I could do something like that but I don't really understand the process of the sculpting, mold making, etc. I was looking into it once but couldn't quite figure it out >_< Maybe I'll try again, since I do love sculpting and yours are so good I feel inspired lol
I really want one of these cuties just to figure out exactly how they are put together. 8D I have always found the process of doll-making fascinating but never really had an interest in humans. These centaurs really inspire me! 8D
Thanks for all the love guys! yrdin_y_luna, I still have a zip-lock baggie of kitty bits to string, and you'll still get first dibs! Firefaux, I do hope to make a couple of fauns sometime, but the design needs work still, and a head of it's own (the head my faun is wearing was sculpted/molded especially for plasticnoodles's doll) the stringing isn't really very complicated, but I'm afraid I can't really explain it either...
LOL, ditto on that stringing. I would say, basically.. the head to front hooves are strung like a normal doll, and the rear is strung onto the front.. lol, and the rear legs to themselves.... and a good flexible needle is invaluable for the task!

Oh, please please please, I NEED one!!!! I'd prefer a non-white one (can it be the dark brown??? If so remember I claimed it first!!!!) but any of them would do!!! And to make my pledge louder, here are the promised pictures of Azucar. Not too good (they were taken with a cell phone camera) but you'll see her amazing posability No trick - She's standing on ONE leg!!!! Here she's kicking something. She was a bit tired of posing But we wanted to see her standing on one of her rear legs ONE leg. See here that the other doesn't touch the table. Isn't she amazing? (Don't forget the superb work Plasticnoodles did with her face and body painting and wiring her)
yrdin_y_luna I am SO proud of Azucar right there!! those are some awesome shots! I'm so happy you captured them! the dark brown kitty can totally be yours, he has a few white spots (resin from a previous pour that found it's way back into the molds) but he'd be really cute once he was painted up Plasticnoodles did a mind blowing job on Azucar! I had to resist sending her all my own centaurs AND breyers for new paint jobs! T4124, thanks! Azucar is just wonderful! I have a friend who hates me for having her, LOL! I want to make better shots of her but I'm very lazy with my camera. Plasticnoodles got exactly what I wanted to do and gave her a gipsy look so she seems a real andalusian centaur. I never get tired of looking at her

If you should ever decide to cast and make more centaurs like Bowie... Let me know! I Absolutely LOVE the bigger hooves on her, and I gawk in adoration at the detail of the Frog on the underside of her hooves. SO cute!

I did a REAL paint-job! with pastels! and freckles and SPOTS! OH MY! pardon her quick wig/tail, they work okay, but they aren't great she's a fairly decent cast, some air bubbles (*sighs* as usual, in her fingertips) that I could probably fix easy enough if I had epoxy sculpt here she is, with her breyer buddy, Rusty, the main inspiration for her paint-up
