Apr 19, 2007

    1. Originally, I started with Sam:

then the casting bug started to itch and nibble at my ear....

and the casting bug got me these two cuties!
(more pictures of them on pages 5, 6, and 8 (check out some of the poses!)

but alas, my molds broke before their time, I didn't get very far in my attempts for a clone army of Centaurs, so I waited, I cast a few human dolls for myself,
      [IMG]

but that casting bug was just after me about my centaurs! more molding would come... an army would be built!

      an army of cute!

and then, on Tuesday, my new molding came! it's a lovely shade of taffy pink, and it's curing around my centaur as I type this!

      *paces*

So check back for an update soon! and cross your fingers for us in the meantime!

    2. I forgot to add that she does indeed have a two part headcap, and her eyes would be glass eyes, if I had any her size (will buy later, prolly 4mm, so tiny!)

I have plans for better detailed hooves, but I was so excited to get her strung that those were good enough for now, you know?

    3. Wow! she is fantastic, how on earth did you manage to sculpt the horse part so well? it looks in excellent proportion and all thouse Joints Wow! you must be so pleased with yourself. WELL DONE!

    4. Forgot to say that I love the way you have used the same materials in her ail as in her headdress. FANTASTIC!

    5. thank you! I am pretty happy with her, she even gets to go with me to work

I am lucky enough to have two real horses who modeled for me while mowing the lawn *winks*

    6. This is really well done. I admire your sculpture skills! Her face is absolutely adorable. She's incredibly sweet-looking.

    7. Wow she's really well sculpted. What a lovely doll you made for yourself

    8. She's just wonderful. I love the way she lies down! So natural.

    9. Oh, wow, she's wonderful! :D Such a cute sculpt, and those poses are great. I want an adorable little centaur girl too! And I don't even like tinies!

    10. I love the legs on your girl! Not only does she look beautiful, but she really poses nicely too. Really great job, and I look forward to seeing more of your work :)

    11. thanks guys! I'm working on a better human body now (one that'll be cast) so I'll definatly be showing you guys more dolls soon

    12. I love her face! It's absolutely adorable. She looks like a wild little girl, and it's fantastic^^.

    13. This is EXACTLY what I was going to say. When I saw her face come into view I was sitting here going "O my goodness will you look at that!" SO adorable. And those horse-legs and hooves are just masterful. You have it completely nailed. I'm in awe :)

    14. love the way the horse legs work.. amazing work on this- bravo!

    15. What a lovely piece. Thank you for sharing her. I'm in awe of your ability to sculpt and design.

      Nancy

    16. WOW!!

What size is she? :O I WANT ONE.

    17. She's TINY! she's shorter in height than my Roxy Lucy, and her head is a size smaller than Lucy's (I hope you have an idea of Lucy, or I'm being useless)
she can curl up in my hand

Only 3.5 inches long and 6 inches tall

and I'll keep everyone updated on my castings

    18. She is really cute and adorable. Hope you make more. Job well done.

    19. Wow, she's so cute :D She poses really well too. I wanna make my own centaur doll now *_*

    20. Hooray, Daisy! And hooray for Sam! You already know this, but I'll mention it again...I LOVE the way you made her joints move like those of a real horse. I'm so impressed with that.

    21. Oh wow! I've been playing with plans for my own centaur for months now, just stumped on a couple of spots. It's nice to see how someone has conquered the hind legs and she lies down so elegantly. Incredible work!

    22. She's absolutely gorgeous. If you do decide to cast her, keep us posted! :D

    23. *dances* thanks Foof!

    24. absolutely amazing! i love the sculpt. (i want one!)

    25. great great great gteat great great

    26. Wow! I love the details in her actual body; like the fur at the hooves. My one complaint though is that her head seems a little, maybe rushed? I dunno, the face just isnt doing it for me. Otherwise, she's fabulous! I'm hoping to get a doma doll elf jado over the summer ^_^ Also, how big is she?

    27. ooooooooh she is soooo cuuute nyooooo
      I really love her!!!
her face, her body!!! :D More pictures more pictuuuures nyoooooo

    28. I love the range of movement she has. Also the fact that you thought to ball-joint the hooves.

    29. Sam is just Wow! I admire your skills!

If you sell them please put me on your list.

    30. yay! thank you guys, I'm glad you like her horsey self

K-artist, me too! What's a hoof if it doesn't move, right? I'm pretty happy with the way the hooves move, I just need to make her more detailed hooves

    31. A masterpiece. Totally and utterly.

    32. Oh,she´s beautiful¡¡ I like a lot her face,and her horse legs are so well done,very real *3*

    33. OOoohhh I like that... I want one of those

    34. Ahhh it is love!! :D So pretty!!! I love her 'floopy' posing...as I make up a word for it.. (like, all cute naturalistic relaxing kinda look). Really sweet job! And indeed ,super sculpey / some of the colored sculpeys can be very durable when molded properly and handled nicely. :) Rock the sculpey!

    35. wow. very cool.

      >^..^<

    36. Add me to the list of admirers. Great posing! :)

    37. Wow, kudos to your skills! She looks great (and so tiny, again:wow).

    38. Wow, I love how this one poses.. you've really worked out the joints in a good way. And her face, I really like that sculpt!!! I think if you just gave her double jointed elbows you'd have a real winner.

    39. oh wow thats lovely! you shoul make one with... some different kind of clay... (im stupid) and cast it and sell it! i know i'd buy a resin version! :D

    40. As people have said the horse anatomy and leg movement range you got are phenominal! I wish I liked her face as much. The hooves don't seem, to me anyway, to need much more detail. Nothing as graceful as simplicity. :)

    41. She is lovely are you going to make more?

    42. shes really cute, you did a fantastic job on jointing, I like the jointing on that that horse body especially, its so posable.

    43. Oh, wow, she looks wonderful!
I love how the horse body poses so well *-*

    44. thanks everyone!

I have started on her new hooves and am cleaning the back of her knees up a bit to get ready to cast her this summer

I'll post some updates on her hooves if I can get pictures clear enough (so tiny!)
but I'll me adding the hoof-walls and frogs to them (I trim my own horses' feet, so I'm picky about hoof detail)

    45. She is so wonderful! You did an excellent job and I too wish I had one!! ^_^

    46. The first time I saw your little kentaur I fell in love immediately! You are so talented and she poses VERY well allthough the horse torso is so difficult to create. I am absolutely amazed!:D
If you are going to cast her and put up for an auction (or sell or adobt or etc...) I want deffinetly one!:love

    47. KAWAIIII!
      She's so adorable! :whee:

    48. Wow you can really tell that you've worked from life with the horse sculpting, and her body fits in so well,

Kudos to you, absolutely brilliant job!

    49. Absolutely stunning, sweetheart!! You know I love her!! :aheartbea :aheartbea :D

    50. She poses like a dream, and such a complex doll too. Well done!

    51. I made a few horse-body dolls years back, and the jointing was rough! I was frustrated enough not to attempt it again even though they sold. Yours is head and shoulders above my attempts. Really impressive!

    52. wow i love her!!! shes awsome!!!

      ~Kat

    53. She looks really amazing!!

    54. She is absolutely beautiful - I love her little nose ^^

    55. Wow, so cute and poseable *want one so bad now, though I hate horses*

    56. She's really unique!!! I don't how you could sculpt the horse part!! It's incredible, congratulations!! *o*

    57. :o Oh, look at all the intricate joints! Well done! She's so cute and poses so nicely. I can't wait to see pics when you cast her!:)

    58. She is lovely :) I want one, lol.

She looks like something you might be able to purchase at a Rennaissance Faire. She's so adorable.

    59. WOW! She is WONDERFUL!!

I love that horse body, is awesome! and she poses very well!!!

      :kitty2

    60. Wow, that is amazing. I have been wanting a Centaur doll for a while. And she is the perfect size. So cute. I love her. If cast them I know I want one.

Do you have any idea how much you will sell them for? I have to save well in advance for everything I want to buy.
