    6. I'm getting so nervous and excited!!!

    7. Ah, I'd love to go! But I don't have a car and I live in San Francisco/Colma. :...( If anyone is going both days and lives in my area who wouldn't mind giving me (and a possible plus 1) a ride, I'd chip in for parking!

    8. HI Koka,

parking is free at the venue but if you like I'll post a ride share for you on the website if you like!

    9. Aw will the convention be in southern cali next year or is it promenent in one area @o@' I live in the LA region. Hope i can attend sometime in the future :D

    10. There is already a SoCal event in Nov each year.
It's run by Bruce and I think it was linked somewhere back a couple pages.

    11. Hi thanks for your interest in the con. This con can follow the coast , if we planned another one I would want it on the Central Coast , San Luis Obispo :) Since the name would not have to change!

But for this year its in Northern California Coast.

But as Pam mentioned Bruce puts on a great BJD con

      https://sites.google.com/site/sandiegobjdcon/

here is his link and he does plan to have one this year too !

    12. YAY there's a stringing tutorial!!!!

    13. Just for you by a super nice gal too!

    14. 15. oh god im super excited! me and my boy have been saving for this for MONTHS! (and we've been bored out of our minds hanging around the house since everything fun to do around our area costs money and we were DETERMINED to have plenty of money to have fun on this trip!!!)

and even though shes not finished being de-yellowed im even going to string together my GoD Nabiya elf named Io and bring her along for her debut in my dollie family!

ive been trying to convince myself that i shouldnt bring my whole dollie family and it is proving a most difficult battle with myself indeed!

i know for sure im bringing along my twins and my dariel... and i WANT to bring along Io but my other girl and boy want to come along too... such a difficult battle!

and i plan on bringing my floating head along too... and hopefully mabey find someone with a wig that will fit him!

just too excited! (but this is ALSO going to be my vacation so after the con we're hitting up museums and the beach and gettin us some seafood on the fishermans warf!)

    16. Thats great to see everyone excited! I know a gal who last even brought her doll family in a baby carriage one of the simple time strollers. She fit like 5 or 6 on it!

Can't wait to see ever one :)

      edit to add

For Friday dinner we will be in the banquet room first door on the Right as soon as you go in. They moved us because our dinner party was small er then last event and the patio area for friday will be taken up by others but Saturday we will have the patio to in the back-

I also added some info the other day to the NEWS thread so please take a look at that I have to add some other news today to but I am just going to EDIT it not bump

Its a change in vendor info. Please take a look-

    17. will there be places/tables so we can display our dolls at the banquet and during the con?

    18. Friday I am hoping they will leave some extra tables up so there is a place for people who bring X amount of dolls to display but I cant say for sure since I did not request any for Friday -

Saturday yes there will be tables to sit at on the patio area where we will be eating the buffet there should be extra tables there- :)

    19. leaving right now! see you at the con tommorow everyone!

    20. Astrid, thank you for a great show...Pam and I had a blast! We're definitely looking forward to the next CCBJD!

    21. Thank you so much Astrid. You and your team did an incredible job with this fun event. This was my very first BJD convention/show and it was more than awesome. Lovely venue, easy parking, lots of prizes, lots of photo op areas, great vendors, wonderful people and their beautiful dolls and a delicious luncheon to top it all off. I did not want to leave lol!

    22. It was a wonderful and fun event! Thanks for organizing it.
Very beautiful and comfortable venue. Buffet lunch couldn't have been better.. Very reasonably priced to attend. Many prizes and winners.

    23. Hi Astrid- wonderful day yesterday and such a beautiful venue. Nice friendly people and lots of beautiful dolls! And I got some bargains- couple of wigs, some yellow (!!!) boots and a hat.
And thank you to whoever it was that donated the rainbow feather wings- my new Pixiu is going to trade his resin wings in for those!
Astrid- I hope you are AT HOME with your feet up getting some rest and patting yourself on your back for putting on such a nice event!

    24. I hope someone posts pics in the gallery!!! I'm dying to see what I missed!

    25. well my excuse for saving money for months on end and driving four hours to this con was that it was the week of my 22nd birthday and this was going to be my birthday prezzie to myself... but i wound up getting spoiled rotten at this lovely event!

first i found a gorgeous pair of blue glass eyes, an adoreable strawberry shortcake outfit and even a cute blonde 6/7 wig for my rescue girl Io who had nothing yet of her own!

AND i got to see old friends and make plenty of new ones, shop around a wide variety of lovely dealers and eat a most delicious meal of two of my favorate foods... pasta with alfredo sauce and strawberries and cantelope!!!

BUT i also got some wonderful birthday preasents in the form of raffel prizes! first i got a cute punk-style slim MSD outfit for my red ticket and THEN i got an absoluetly adoreable cutie girl slim MSD dress and outfit for my boyfriend's red ticket~

but the icing on the cake was just as i was getting ready to leave when my wonderful yellow ticket won me a little monica Kliff head in normal skin who is just perfect for my OC Kari whom i have been planning on getting in doll form since i joined the BJD hobby to begin with... HAPPIEST BIRTHDAY EVER!

      ... OR SO I THOUGHT!

its got better... i was kinda sad cus i had wanted to buy the resinsoul mei in white skin that was for sale at the junkyspot table but by the time i finally mustered the courage to just go spend the money and buy her she was gone, and they said that a different girl had bought her already! but when we got back to our hotel from the con i made the wonderful discovery that my sweet boyfriend had actually bought her for me as a surprise birthday prezzie! her name is Luka and i love and adore her to death!

all in all this is the happiest birthday i can remember since i was ten and my dad reserved celebration station for my birthday party (a place kinda like chucky cheese back in texas)

i SO cant wait for the next ccbjd con and i plan on dragging even more friends along with me next time too!

    26. A very cute location (we saw the deer!) and Aichan and her husband were extremely nice and welcoming! They worked so hard and well together!
Little-reisuke - your bf told us that he had bought you the bjd as a surprise and we thought - what a lucky collector!!!!
      Alex

    27. I'd like to echo everyone in saying thanks to you both, Astrid and Richard, for making my first con such a memorable experience. I can't believe I got my 2nd doll ever there (thanks to junkyspot). I love my snow white island doll Aggie and she will make a good companion to my tan planetdoll Tara. I can't wait to edit the pictures I took and send them over to y'all.

    28. what a great event...totally worth the trip..Thanks Astrid! ! !

    29. We are so glad that everyone had a nice time. :)

Wendy, those wings were donated ( both pair) by Flight of Icarus
LittleResuike, your outift was one of two outfits that were donated by Quantom Dot Fashions, she was a member here but was banned from the whole site two days after my announcement that she was a donor. I do have her email though if you would like to thank her .

I just want to thank everyone for a great con. It was so nice to see old friends and make new ones!
We are sorry about our " PA"
System. My only regret is not being able to spend more time with each guest and vendor. I also want to thank Bergan Fields for her lovely gift I love it and want you to know that both you and my husband Richard are sneaky the way you pulled that off. I was totally suprised! Thank you !
Pictures taken by our con Photographer Johanne Moore will be up within a week or so. If you wish to reach me email is the fastest .Facebook does not give me my messages all the time so I dont check it. Thank you again and I wish everyone a safe journey home!
      Astrid & Richard

    30. Ohhhh! That is so SWEET!!!! Such a great story!!!! :aheartbea

It was nice to meet you AND everyone else... and see old friends.

The venue was just lovely! There were so many fantastic vendors. The hotel was really nice, too. And Marin and the Bay Area-- you can't lose being there: so beautiful and so much to see and do. It was totally worth the long drive from SoCal. Thank you, everyone, for organizing the con, for contributing prizes, for selling wonderful items and for attending. :Dj

      ======
anyone find a red/pink striped datebook? it's probably tucked away somewhere, but I thought I'd ask, just in case I dropped it somewhere at the con...

    31. I just wanted to add a thank you to NathanKat and Barenaked dolls for their donated gifts for the convention.

Just when we were almost done giving away things I saw a large bag that nathankat had given me in the morning for give aways. So more people receved very nice goodies.

Also there were some things lost by attendees:

A pair of blue teal eyes

A cloaked hood purchased from PamSD

possibly Aprils red and pink notebook

If you find any of these things please post so they can be reunited with their owners.

    32. Nevermind about my Notebook! I found it! Yay! :D

'Hope everyone else finds their items...

    33. Lovely photos, Katzy!
