So I have these bratz dolls that are stained or otherwise overdue for a repaint and I figured I'd try something. Step one was cutting the hair off the bratz head slowly and in small clumps to make into wefts. As someone accustomed to acrylic wig making this was tricky but not unfamiliar. I darkened the root to look a bit more natural/ombre. The only problem is that it looks too good on too many dolls so now I need more for all my girls lol More Shots: IMG-2991 by Atelier_dairelle, on Flickr IMG-2992 by Atelier_dairelle, on Flickr IMG-2963 by Atelier_dairelle, on Flickr Next time I think I'll just order Nylon or saran hair/wefts to spare any other dolls from falling victim to my creative bouts
I had done worse before, cutting their had to get the whole cap... Of course it was a waste because it was too thick... Yours look amazing, no one would know!
What gorgeous results! It's definitely obviously you have experience with wig making! I think it's nice to be able to repurpose something in this way. Thanks for sharing!
Wow that looks beautiful! I hadn't thought of getting wefts from a regular doll before, I'l have to try this
I did that as well. It’s such a smart idea and you did an amazing job. Cannibalising dolls…. I never thought of it that way.
Oh this came out amazing! The new wig looks gorgeous. What type of synthetic material is Bratz hair made out of, if you happen to know? EDIT: OH I'm a fool, it says nylon right there. Ignore me!
