Camellia Dynasty - Discussion Thread

mine seems a nice large-cat size for MSD, and i guess kitten or small-cat size for SD, and i think pukis could ride on her back!
so there ought to be some variety of dolls he could "belong to".

 

I'm formulating a plan right now as to how I can share Wong with DoA as an accessory to my other dolls He'll get his chance I hope!

I saw that they can be shipping within 15 days! Of course my order is still "processing" because I bought him just before the weekend started. Oh boy, I'm excited!

 

I just ordered a wong... I think that's pretty lame that they consider him "off topic". Oh well~

There is no Camellia Dynasty waiting room? I ordered a white wong, angel and devil wings, and a pair of the large angel wings. :3

 

It's super sad he's offtopic I guess he's not "human-like" enough? I dunno. But we'll enjoy our Wongs regardless Chiisaichi!! I wanted to get the devil tail but didn't want to order the devil wings as well. Now it looks like they offer the devil tail separately! I'm so excited since it's been 15 days already since my order, I hope he shows up in my mailbox soon!

I thought that sounded really quick too, but it says right there on Wong's page... I bet it's 15 working days O_O then I'd still have a week to go! I ordered some Souldoll high heel feet at the same time, which also said it would take 15 days, so I'm feeling like they are racing against each other to see what can arrive first!

 

I actually had to hold back from buying more... I wanted more than I could afford. I have been saving for Wong, and the feathery wings they sell. But I wish I could have gotten a pair of those little devil horns... so cute~ and i really wanted one of their clinging cats! But I only had so much saved up. :3 I can't wait to try all the wings on every doll I have, lol!

 

One week down in my wait from CD! Does anyone know if they really ship in 3 weeks? It's so fast! I couldn't believe it when their site said 15 days!

 

Well, it's been four weeks since my order and I've had no updates since my initial order date It still just says "Processing"

 

Yay~ They answered my question about getting extra magnets with the wings for my Wong, and they told me that they are shipping my package out before the end of next weekend! Yay!!!

 

Really? I'm jealous...I ordered mine before yours and it still is "processing"

 

^-^ Maybe they are shipping yours this week too! I didn't even ask them about when they were shipping mine. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the extra magnets. It was a nice surprise that they said they are shipping soon. I am really excited to get Wong and all the little wings! I am hoping I can use them on my Pukis.

 

Hey Chiisaichi--did you get an update from CD about your Wong? I've emailed them twice about it now with no reply I hope my little kitty didn't get lost on his way to me...

 

My order is still "processing". So maybe it won't ship this week like they told me. I have emailed them before and not gotten an answer and then I sent another saying I emailed them a week ago with no reply, then they replied to me saying they are sorry they left my email... or something like that... they worded it weird. That's actually when they told me they were going to ship my order soon... I really hope they ship soon! They should ship my order next week if they stay on track with what their site says... next friday will be business day 15.

This morning I ordered one pair of seraphim wings, a clinging cat and a black Wong (with white angle wings and black devil wings)
Thank you so much for the comparison photos trinlayk! It's hard to guess their size based off the website.

I don't know if I listed everything I got.. So if not, here it is~~

White wong (not painted), white angel wings, devil wings, and White seraphim wings. ^-^ I can't wait to get everything~~~ I have lots of plans for aaaaall those wings. :3 I don't have any other CD dolls.

Oh and I am really excited that wong comes in an egg... that is just so cute to me~!

 

My Camellia Dynasty shipment just left Customs! I am really hoping it will arrive on monday!! :3

 

My Camellia Dynasty shipment arrived today and I couldn't be happier. I ordered a pair of white, nubby little demon horns for an elaborate costume I'm working on for one of my SD dolls and I was surprised to see they came with magnets and tiny clips that can be used on a doll wig. Very creative and versatile, imho. CD has excellent BJD props and accessories and I was surprised that they sold all of it a la carte ^^ My other items arrived safely and in good condition. I'll post in the gallery subforum soon!

 

My tracking hasn't updated to say "out for delivery" or anything... but it says it left customs on the 23rd. My mail man just pulled up outside, but my house is the last one he goes to.... which is weird because i am in the middle of the block! It's always been that way though. So... IF my package comes it will be a surprise. I'm hoping~~

Oh... edit... I can't wait to use all my little wing parts on .... EVERYTHING. lol... I didn't know they came with clips! I thought you had to use the magnets to put them on the heads like in their pictures!

 

WTF!!!!! So my package arrives to my post office today. I checked the tracking and it said INSUFFICIENT ADDRESS RETURNING TO SENDER. NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo

I called my post office and they said it has already been sent out!!!!!

My address on CDs site is 100% correct... wtf did they put on the package?!?! >o< I am SO upset!!!



Edit: I called around to my PO and to the main office. They said it is being returned because the address is illegible!!! Wow... how bad is their handwriting?? They told me they MIGHT be able to catch it when it gets to the airport... but no guarantee.

 

Ok so the package was caught, and sent back to my state today, so I should be able to get it tomorrow, buuuut get this... I sent 3 emails to CD in 4 days telling them about the problem. Now when I send them a question they ALWAYS reply within a day, but I haven't heard from them at all. Hmm... Customer service anyone?

 

sometimes that happens if a company only has one english-speaker and they are out.

also the address problem could have happened because people at some particular PO are not used to international handwriting. i'd be interested as to whether it's really illegible when you get it.

 

Ok i got a reply, they said they were busy... and they just said "sorry". I'm happy with my wong, but they glued all the magnets in like they told me they wouldnt, and also forgot to add the extra magnets, like they said they would... >_<

Oh and the thing with the address, it turns out they just put "baltimore MD 21224" as my entire address... no street or anything... actually... my street number and house number were in the Zip code space... weird... good thing i called and caught the package.

Oh well... overall im happy. just sucks that the minor things were over looked... i guess i can buy some magnets... but they were supposed to be included... :/

I never got a "doll" from this site but I have gotten other things. The resin on them has been smooth and nice. They ship EMS and it is fast, but I did have a problem with them messing up my address, but I called the post office and got it fixed. They also glued in all my magnets when they said they wouldnt, but they sent me replacement magnets, I haven't gotten them yet. Over all I liked buying from them though.

 

This is one of the fastest companies I have ordered a doll from yet. I ordered an Evrin on July 21st. Out of curiosity I checked my account today and apparently he shipped yesterday. Considering I had to wait patiently for 2 dolls from a certain other company. A company that had a special sale and took almost a year to ship out their orders..ahemahem... Camellia Dynasty is fantastic. &#9829;

He's in customs now, so I should have the doll by this week.

Unfortunately I've had some camera issues... and a new camera in the mail as my Evrin head is being shipped off for a face-up.
So no pics until the head is back...
I will say that it is a smaller sized head, and it doesn't look terrible on the body, but would certainly work nice as a hybrid on a smaller body.
It has a cute button nose. A great eyeshape that's more round than long and lovely eyelids that remind me of Volks.
I love this sculpt, such a cutie.

 

Just updating this; I received my package from CD this morning! It took so long because the black devil wings were out of stock, but everything has arrived safe and sound

 

Their wings are FANTASTIC aren't they!? I sure do love them Congrats on getting your order!

So, anyone has any news on the "elevator shank"? How about resin color compatability?

 

So what do people think of their new Lord, 'Kollie'? I think he's a great mold, i'm really taken with him, I love the coy smile. If only they sold him with the Heian period clothing he's pictured in as well, it really suits him.

 

I have an Om because of that cute smile... I did mod the eyes, though.
Now.. this new boy is very nice but quite the price jump from the Minister line. 410.00 is a blank doll, isn't it? The site says 'environmental resin'.. it that like Ringdoll?

 

I actually have a HUGE problem with the new sculpt. He looks WAY too much like a Volks Lucas. He's pretty heavily influenced. Not saying he's a recast, just it seems like the sculptor was looking right at a Lucas. =/ even the tear ducts are the same shape.

 

Really? His nose seems quite different from Lucas. It's very snubby, which I think is pretty cute! Lucas has more of an angled tip on his nose, and more flared nostrils.

 

It's his eyes, and the general shape of the mouth that made me think instantly oh Volks. The wigless shots made it more obvious to me. Although this new one does look like their older ones so their style is consistant.

 

I've owner a Lucas and I don't think this guy looks anything like him ^^'

Lucas (and the rest of his 'family') is a very famous bjd mold and I could name several companies that have produced dolls that are obviously inspired by him, but I wouldn't say this guy was one at all

 

I have to agree that he doesn't look much like Lucas, and if he resembles any Volks molds, it's actually Reisner he looks like. The overall face shape, eyes, and mouth are similar.

I checked the site out because I love Heian clothing, but it looks like they don't offer his clothing for sale? With the kitsune mask and the clothes they have him pictured in, he would make a great Abe no Seimei.

 

I have no clue why I said Lucas, I was picturing Reisner in my head but my hands didn't listen to me. He really doesn't look like an F-16/Lucas at ALL. God *headdesk*

 

I think the Evrin mold is a lot more 'Volksy' as far as the eye shape and lips. The new doll Kollie doesn't really remind me of Volks at all when I look at it.

I like the new mold. Definitely one for my Maybe List! I love the CD body so much, so an excuse for another is tempting!


Even though I normally hate translucent resin, their 'Environmental' is a lot more reasonable than other companies. I can definitely tell the difference of the resin next to my urethane dolls, but in photos the translucency doesn't lose detail. It's about the level of Iplehouse, I guess.

 

:< I just checked the camelia dynasty website for the first time in a while, and Evrin is listed as out of stock. From their Q&A section I can't tell if they'll be restocking him. Does anyone know if they will? ;3;

I made an order in late December, and have a real problem.

 

I am the spanish dealer of CD and they don't reply any email for a couple of months, so I stopped offering their products.
If i get a reply from CD, I will tell you too.

Wow, I hope nothing is wrong. I just ordered from them in late January. I'm not nervous about the time yet but I hope I actually get my stuff :/

Not that this answers everything but I wanted to mention that last year they took off until Feb. 25th for their new year celebration. Perhaps they are gone now for the same reason?

8 weeks is a very long time though, especially with no updates, or returned contact... I've contacted Paypal to see if there's anything to be done about it through them, but will wait until March if at all possible.

Please feel free to keep us updated a little, if they make contact/status changes with you, if that's okay?
I've had nothing since I paid - I don't know if I'm over-reacting.

 

I will absolutely let you know if I hear anything from them TheGrey. I'm especially concerned about the fact that Aikoneko hasn't heard from them in such a long time but I'm trying to remain hopeful. I think I will probably try contacting them towards the end of February if I haven't heard anything more. Mid next week will be the 15 day mark for me so just maybe :/
