Don't worry about rejected payment. Hellash had some little problems with the old paypal account, but now this is fixed.
My payment was rejected too but Hellash help me all the time,was really kind!!

I forgot to say that I ordered Om and Abracadabra, hope they arrive home soon!

 

Figure it will be a month until we here dolls will ship. Don't want to lose/forget about this thread.

Is Hellash the one casting the dolls? That's a lot of work for just one person. Look after your health, Hellash!

So, how many Oms and Abracadabras are expected home?

 

Just from what people have mentioned here, there are five each of Om and Abracadabra, and two unspecified. Looks like we snatched up about a fifth of the run for each boy.


It's only been two weeks, but i'm impatient. XD

I'm already starting to collect clothes and stuff for Om, I'm so excited~ It looks like his feet are 6cm? That's bigger than my DZ boy -- can anyone recommend shoes? Maybe it's a little early, but...

I ordered on 5/13/2008.

I ordered an Abracadabra, mainly to get the kitty (wong). I also ordered a pair of the bunny clips. There is an anime character who wears them, I'm sure of it, but can't remember which one.

A question, though! Have you tried shoes on him? What kinds of shoe would you recommend? The only other doll I have has 5.5cm feet, so I'm sure his shoes would be too small on Om.

His feet are very close in size to Super Dollfie Cutes (the boy and girl SDCs have the same foot mold XD). He can probably skoosh into a lot of MSD shoes- depends on the manufacturer. But if you want to be sure, you might specifically go for shoes marketed as fitting SDCs, or even SD girl sneakers. He does NOT fit in most of the stompy boots from releaserain.

My Abracadabra body which was swiped by my Gomidoll Iru head is currently wearing MSD Dollheart boots and they fit him great. The laces are tied as tightly as they would be on my DollZone boys but they still fit him.

Sooo, how does the kitty pose? Amazing/Good/Fine/Average/Poor/Dreadful? I really, really love this beast, but I haven't seen any pictures of him with dolls or without them.

Yes, I can tell you some good news!! A few days ago I received an email from Hellash as I am dealer of CD in Spain.

Camellia Dynasty is changing its location, so they are moving right now and that's the reason why the web still doesn't work.

This moving will delay the reopening of the web 2 or 3 weeks more but it worths it because dolls are being improved a lot.

So don't worry, soon the web will be running again and we will see some new models,that's all I can say,the rest it's a secret!!

My Longago got here thursday ^^ (we emailed to order him since I already knew what I wanted and had a picture saved anyways) Really happy with everything except for the yellow blushing on his face and the lips being a bit messy (makes him look like he's been eating cheetos xD) He poses so naturally and easily

Are all of these dolls boys? Ish looks like a girl and seems to be wearing a dress, but there is no indication of whether it is a boy or girl, and there are no naked body shots for that doll. Beautiful face sculpts, by the way.

All of the sculpts are very expressive and seem to meet my taste very much

What about the resin, is it this new type that some new doll families seem to use now, that looks like semi-transparent french resin, but dont yellows so soon?

 

I'm pretty sure all of these dolls are boys(Ish too, but he would make a great girl XD). If you look in the "Parts" section, the boy body is shown there It is beautifully made! Very slim and elegant looking

I'm very impressed by the boy sculpts! I love the second boy I think and the faceups look wonderful! Does anybody know if/when white skin will be released? I would love to have the body for one of my heads, but I'm really considering just getting the whole doll

OH wow-wee! I just noticed, they have this part called "elevator shank" that goes on the ankle to make the body taller! From 61cm to 63cm. Very cool!

 

I love the idea of this and I totally have to have a Windrac! ^___^ He's just perfect for one of my boys. Though, does anyone know if CD offer layaway options for their dolls?

 

Does anyone know what Doll companies' resin match Camellia Dynasty's?

Double joints! Ahhhh, I love the double joints. I love the way that they "hide" when not in use, It's the most elegant looking joint system I've seen.
And at such a great price too.

I wounder if I can blush my Volk's head to match this body's resin-color. *sighs*
Or perhaps, leave out in the sun for while? :P


We's need a Resin comparisons. IF it's close to Volks normal skin then I am going to buy it.

The last photo has a SD13 hand next to the grasping hand, and the resin- color looks very close.

I hope that the body doesn't sell out before I get enough funds saved up to buy it.

 

Oh my! I just saw that they will be making the shank parts for Delfs!
So brilliant of an idea.. it will be nice to not have them all be the same exact height.

I am curious what they mean by environmental resin. Any one have any idea?

 

It's this non-solvent-based resin other new companies are using, too, I'd guess.

 

Does that mean that different cleaners, sealants, or other such things should be used with it? Googling "non solvent based resin" got me a lot of industry links, but all of them too broad to help me sort out the situation. Is there an existing DOA thread for this resin?

 

Ooh, I love Evrin. I wonder if the company face-ups look like the ones in the preview pics?

 

I like Evrin too. ^^; And I'm thinking of buying one of their bodies for a floating head of mine. Ervin reminds me of an MSD F-20 for some reason, just bigger. xD

And I really hope that's his default, it's really pretty.

The older batches of Camellia Dynasty appear to be quite yellow. They're using a new environmental resin now though, so it's best to ask them specifically about resin-matching or what kind of tone their new resin is.

 

I just put up a bunch of pictures about the CDL body, including resin matching and posing, because Peregrine's body came home yesterday! I'm still in the process of writing up the full review of it, but here's my initial thoughts, as well as my pictures of the Camellia Dynasty body and of its posing!

It's disappeared a couple of times before. I don't know what happens, but it is rather distressing.

 

This thread has been kind of idle for a little while ^_^ I just bought a Camellia Dynasty Wong and was hunting for a waiting room. How does everyone like their CD dolls so far??

I bought a Wong because my poor tuxedo kitty Zorro just took a flying leap off the roof and died Apparently his invisible parachute didn't work so good... I think it might help comfort my aching heart to paint up this little black kitty to look like him. I got him a set of angel wings too, that will hopefully help him jump off roofs in the kitty afterlife.

I'd love to hear more about how everyone is enjoying their CD dolls

 

I have both an Abracadabra and Om, and was lucky enough to get them when they each came with a Wong, so I have a black one and a white one (to match my former and current cats!)

The boys are my only dolls that are not tinies, and I find I'm not really liking the size. But the sculpts are wonderful, and although I don't do much with them, I do have them out where I can see them all the time. They pose really well, and have not yellowed at all since I've had them, even though their original color is a bit on the yellow side, it has not changed at all. I would definately recommend them.

And the Wongs are just amazing! They pose in all kinds of kitty positions. I sometimes having them hanging out with the boys, and I sometimes just let them play by themselves.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Zorro, and I hope your Wong brings you some peace. I know my black one is a pleasant reminder of my cat that I lost years ago. I'd love to see pictures of your angel when he's ready!

 

That is great news to hear about the Wong's fantastic posing capabilities! I am very excited to get my little angel kitty in the mail for sure. I will love to share pictures with everyone here

 

I'm pretty sure the Wongs are off-topic for DoA, so you can't post a box opening thread. You'd have to post pics of your WOng with other dolls. BTW, I am SMITTEN with Wong the little kitten. I want one so badly!

 

....really? I'm gonna go search for a thread to figure that out for sure. He's resin, asian, and ball jointed, so that wouldn't have occurred to me. Thank you for the heads up!
