Bobobie/Resinsoul 14cm and 15cm size dolls discussion part 2

I have ordered direct from RS in the past and noticed sometimes they ship with no warning. Things just show up out of the blue!

Flame arrived! Omg, he's so cute! Also the body looks like it might be good for some floating heads... I really hope so, because that would be great.

Flame is also the only RS or Bobobie doll I've received without yellow eyes.

 

I watched a box opening video on YouTube by someone who had just received her red flame with makeup, which is the same as I ordered. He’s very cute, but there is no black blushing on the flame. I emailed Sun and asked if I could have blushing, but it was too late, but he sent a tracking number! I wish Resinsoul would be clearer with the ordering process. A drop down offering full body paint would have been nice. Also knowing that faceup meant only the face area would have been nice.

 

The flame blushing might be counted as body blushing and not part of the face-up?

 

Exactly, that’s what Sun wrote. If you look at the photos, though, the red flame only has blushing on the head, but the white and pink ones have blushing on other parts of the body. I shouldn’t have assumed it was part of the face up. I have to watch the video again because I think there was blushing on the ears. I have some chalks, and MSC, so I might try adding it. I’ve never done any painting on my own. If I can do it with out unstringing the doll, I might get up the courage to try.

 

I got my white flame today! No email, just showed up. My first resinsoul doll and I'm very impressed! So cute! I was surprised by the amount of detail from what I had seen online with his hands and his flame head. I'm excited to paint him Not sure what clothes I shall make for him yet...

I received my Flame today! Since the flame detaches, and is the head cap, I’m going to try blushing it. If I’m successful I have some Pixiu fantasy parts to blush too. I’ve had the chalks and MSC spray for years, but was reluctant to try on my own.

 

I received a tracking code for Flame, but it doesn't work. Because of this, I have written an email to resin soul but until now there is no answer -.-

Hopefully Flame will arrive

My Flame arrived last week with no notification. I am so in love with the cutie.

 

Denver Doll Emporium has some Flames in stock! I may have had a moment of weakness when I realized it would make a perfect familiar to one of my SD sized witches! I put it on layaway, blank bright red.

 

That's awesome! I admit I looked! If there had been a white one I would 100% have been weak willed! I also have a little red one~ they are precious!!

 

I haven't seen any owner pictures of a pink Flame, so here's mine! I was weak and ordered one from DDE. Had wanted to one day get a custom pink Yu, but now I won't have to worry about a wig. XD

I finally painted my Flame! Their name is Flicker, and they're a proper little helper to their witch.



The face turned out shiny, but I had to use a new sealant. MSC kept ghosting and clouding up, but Army Painter's Matte Varnish went on clear and beautiful. Shiny yes, but it's worth it.


I also can't find tiny enough shoes!

Everyone's Flames are so adorable! Mine isn't dressed yet, but I got him with a company face-up.

 

Could someone please post photos of their Elfkin? Preferably with a wig and eyes? There’s a lot of them in stock at DDE and I’m considering buying one, but I want to be sure that it’s a sculpt I’ll enjoy.

Thank you both! Just a word to the wise that these little guys don't stand very well. That didn't really matter in Johnny's career as library elf though!

 

I got an in-stock red Yu from DDE as a Christmas present for myself. She arrived around the 15th, but I waited until this morning to open her. I got her outfit and shoes from DDE too. I'm thinking of naming her Ember, and she'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.
