Yay, a new thread!

Every day when I come home from work, I'm hoping to have an email from Think Pink saying I can come pick up my red skin Yu ^^. I ordered her late in May.

 

All of us seem to have dolls on the way. Goodluck to everyone on their timely arrival.

 

It does, doesn't it? xD I cant wait for you all to get your little ones!

Yui's cute new outfit came in today, she wanted to show everyone ^.^

The hood actually has cute bunny ears. its from mint on card. fits her perfectly

 

Yui's clothes look lovely. I did see them on MOC and thought about it for Leric, but I don't think it will go with his character. Its good to know that they fit though. Can I ask about the wig? size ect?

Thanks :3 Yeah, finding the right clothes to fit how you envision the dolls character is very important.

Her wig is a size 4/5 Leekworld Alice wig in the color Pink Cocktail. It sits a little big on her, but if you position the hair a certain way around her face, you can't even really tell. It's really good quality, better quality than Leeworld's 3/4 wigs, because I have one for my puki puki, and Yui's wig is just better all around.

And oh my gosh, that picture is too funny x3 I think Leric looks the perfect size for that little horse x3

 

Thank you for the wig size information. I am still waiting on Leric's wig. It is a Monique Synthetic Mohair 4-5" Frankie brown/black/blue. I really hope that it fits him.

Evelien, she looks really cute in red. I just firmly vowed that I would *not* get more dolls this year, but she is very tempting... (sometimes I hate it that these tiny RS are so affordable... LOL!!)

Tezuko , thank you for the wig link. They are beautiful dolls. Did the dark Tan dolls have seems lines that you needed to fix? you are making me want to buy a dark tan doll

 

Leisas4 I got a dark tan bobobie lucky and he did not have any seem lines at all, nor did he have any marbling like I had heard about in the past. It seems as though they have really gotten it down now.

 

Leisas4, when DT dolls arrived, they had a marbling. After I washed it with soap, the spots disappeared.

Ah, sorry for disappearing, Evelien its so good to finally see your red skin yu, she is absolutely adorable!! The eyes look so good against that skin *o*

I have a question about Yu's. I don't know if it's just my doll, or if all of them are like this, but it's impossible to get her head off. Her S hook in her head is too large on the bottom, and will not fit through her head hole at all. Like it's closed off, too big. I don't really know what to do..

 

Pull her head up so you have plenty of slack, stick a pencil (or something) into the strings between her head and neck, then with the pencil holding the strings, you can just remove the hook and her head with it. :3

 

Oh! So you have to remove the hook as well? LOL I can't believe I never thought of that. Wow, I feel silly But thanks so much for enlightening me

 

I had the same problem with my Yu, only my luck was that it happened at Think Pink and Marcia helped me

 

It happened with Leric aswell, I was expecting it to go through but there is no way. I pulled it up with pliers and thread thick string through it, then removed the hook.

Yeah x3. I was thinking about giving her a little more to her faceup, but started freaking when I couldn't get her head off x3 Another thing, I was pulling back her feet to look at them, and they don't have any S hooks. Any ideas how to get the feet off without having to restring? They look like they are just looped through and you'd have to take apart her whole bottom half

 

Yep, the tinies don't have hooks in hands nor feet. You will have to unstring/restring if you want to remove the hands or feet.

 

Agreed, I had a hell of a time with restringing. I ordered those tiny s hooks of moc and they came, I took Leric apart again and the s hooks are too big to go in his arms deep enough. Hopefully one weekend my hubby will cut them down for me But I did string him again, can't have the baby in pieces.

 

Gosh, guess I had a lot to learn about tinies that don't use magnets x3

So guess what I learned today? RS Yu can fit *at least 1* Middie Blythe clothes!

I ordered an adorable dress for my incoming 1/6 doll, because it was advertised as a 1/6 dress, but upon opening it, it looked way smaller. So I tried it on Yui and it FIT! And oh my is it adorable

I had no idea middle blythe clothes would fit. Unless I'm just really dense and this was a fact..x3

 

I am sorry... About the problem with the head. This can be a quick fix. You have drill? Oh, and nadfil? Do so. Voila!

 

Shawnee, How beautiful does she look in that dress. Most of the clothes Leric has been wearing were blythe clothes from sugar mag, I had heaps of them. I found the short sleeves dress tops are a good dress for him, even a short dress was a foot length gown and the black mary jane shoes he wore, were a struggle to get on but did fit.

Tezuko, that is a very clever job you did with the head. When I get brave, I will do that too. Thank you for sharing.

Exactly, I don't think I'll be able to take a drill to my girls head for a long time >w< I only just painted resin for the first time today LOL

I believe she is white skin, I'm not sure. I got her second hand and she has yellowed since her original owner got her

I painted my doll leaves Fay's wings. x3 I wanted to practice on something else before I gave Yui a faceup

 

That actually is a barbie over the shoulder bag, that actually opens and can hold stuff. Not a lot of stuff but maybe a mini laptop or something.. -starts to ponder what she can make for the bag-

 

Oh, it's such a pretty color. And it fits well? I wouldn't mind having one either x3, Although Yui prefers pink to purple

 

It does, it seems kinda like a laptop bag, I don't know where it's from, I got it at a yard sale

 

I've pretty much convinced myself that a Dian is the way to go to make my favourite character into a chibi version (I have him as an MSD already). Could some one here confirm for me the eye size? I need to custom order his eyes, so I want to make sure I get the right ones (he'll be wearing purple cat eyes).

 

Lerics eye are 10mm. I don't know about others though.
