Bobobie/Resinsoul 14cm and 15cm size dolls discussion part 2

Do these shops have clothing for boys as well? I'm always on the lookout for clothes ideas for my boy Leif.

 

I second TrillianandCompany! I've bought so many sizes from her and she's a real gem of a person too.

 

Success! I restrung Johnny! ...sort of. His arms are sooo much better. His legs... not as much, but he can sit up all on his own now. The kids are going to be so happy he's back!

Johnny looks great! Congrats on getting him restrung! Did you end up making s-hooks for him like I did for my Moonie girl?

 

I tried but failed. I did order some off of Etsy that fit great! I also used my failures to help pull the elastic through so waste not want not.

 

Oh, by the way, the kids were very happy to see Johnny back from his vacation and not just because he brought back some souvenirs!

Great pic and thanks for the link. I ordered myself some since restringing will happen eventually for my Bobobies and a couple of Jun Planning Ai dolls I have and none of them have/had s-hooks.

Thanks for the link. I just ordered some for myself as well. I have at least a couple small dolls that have needed new string for ages and I dreaded tying the elastic the way they are. The s-hooks will make this a task that I will anticipate with much less anguish.

 

I finally got myself a Yu! She's so cute. Her name is Jodi. She'll be Johnny's mischievous little sister.

 

Congrats! Yu is a great choice. The image didn't quite up-load right, but I know she's gotta be super cute!

I just ordered a Yu in dark tan!! They’ll be my first doll this tiny, and I’m excited (even though now I’ll have to get through the wait…)

In the meantime, time to clothing shop! A new scale in my collection means I have absolutely nothing prepared that’ll fit.

 

Congrats! Pukifee clothes fit but are a little loose. Same with Tiny Delf clothes. I'm not sure if any play line dolls fit the Resinsoul tinies but it might be worth trying Chelsea sized clothing if you find it cheaply.

 

Good to know, thank you!! I’m planning on getting some Tiny Delfs eventually, so perhaps I’ll invest in some TDF clothes - even if they don’t fit Yu perfectly I’ll use them eventually!!

 

RESINSOUL--Flame

Anybody seen limited Flame?! I just ordered one in bright red. They'll be a little Fire Sprite that likes to hang around my Fire Demon

Haven't ordered from Resinsoul for so long, but this was a great first order after so long! So exited

 

This little guy convinced me to finally order from Resinsoul. Admired their dolls for a while, but the fun possibilities of painting this little one was too good to ignore. I ordered in white to see if I can dye him to look more like a blue butane flame. Really wish they could offer in their transparent resins too!

 

The white one is really cool too I thought it could look cool as a ghostly kind of flame, but I went with the red one as that would fit better with my fire demon.

The pink one though I had a bit problem imagining what kind of character it could be!

 

The bright red was tempting but I ordered Flame in white skin. He's just too adorable to resist!

 

I'm tempted by them but all the ideas I have are in colors they don't offer. Transparent blue for a will o' the wisp or brown for a baby Treant.

They're adorable - I do wish they came in something like transparent blue or green, though...
(Maybe it's a good thing they aren't, as I would not have been able to resist a transparent version!)

 

Maybe they'll do transparent versions later if we ask?

 

I did ask in the notes of my order, but no response about it in my order confirmation email.

 

If you just ordered, maybe it just take a little while to respond?

I know Flame would be great in transparent resin, but I think it's such a cute sculpt that it's definitely worth getting in regular resin as well

 

I ordered but didn't received any order confirmation, thats why I ask them, and they answered very quickly. So maybe they dont get your point with transparent resin?

I caved when transparent became an option - I've ordered one in red transparent skin. I can't wait!!!
(I thought I wanted blue, then green, then settled on red... LOL!!)

Also: I think I broke the site. Hopefully *after* they confirmed my payment.

I see they got antransparent option now! Wish they had any photo what it looks like, but I probably would still have gone for the bright red anyway!

Sadly I can't buy a second flame in transparent (no money)
If I had knew it before my order, I would have bought the transparent one

 

It might be worth emailing Resinsoul and asking to switch your order to a transparent resin. From what I've heard, they're very accommodating!

 

I paid my order with PP, and when the PP page tried to send me back to RS, the site was down... Now I can't seem to be able to log in to Resinsoul at all.
I did send them a message, with a copy of the PP payment page, so it should be OK either way.

It's definitely worth a try to e-mail Resinsoul. I have good experience with them.

 

The website hiccuped when I ordered, too. I had to go back to the site and put in the order again since it went bonkers before I could login to PP. All's good though, Sun had sent me confirmation afterwards.

... I sent an email to inquire what color transparent is... but I will likely be getting either red or transparent! This little one calls to me!

 

I just did the same thing!! I paid off my layaway yesterday and then suddenly saw transparent was an option. I emailed Sun just now and I'm REALLY hoping I can switch to transparent blue. I originally got white and planned to dye it either orange to be Calcifer in Howl's clothes, or blue and be a will-o'-the-wisp. I'm definitely stuck in a wisp now!! Fingers crossed it can be switched, I want to thread some white light wire in there.

 

Calcifer sounds like a great idea. I love Howl's Moving Castle. I was torn between blue and red for the longest time, and ended up going for red.
Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone who wants transparent that their orders can be switched!! (Honestly, I don't understand why the option wasn't there from the start - he's the perfect doll to be cast in transparent resin!)

 

I actually JUST got an email back confirming an additional $10 and paid it! Yay!!

 

Well after a few days of thinking, I decided not to change my order. Transparent is a really good Idea for that cast.
But for me it could be difficult to make face up and body blush, because I am a beginner.
So I will wait for white one and then It became "The Blue Light" from Grimm's Fairytales. My first Idea for that Doll.

 

Not to be an enabler, but I asked resinsoul about getting a transparent flame in a colour, and they offered to spray colour onto the transparent for me for small extra cost. Resinsoul are so amazingly accommodating, I love 'em. I will probably keep my white doll order and add a transparent one too.

Its a really nice fairy tale but not often heard or not that popular. Sadly.
As a child I had a cassette with it and I heard it as much as possible. Also like Asterix and Obelix XD

Maybe we can implement some small led light in the Head?

I grabbed my lil guy pretty much as soon as they went up for sale (Feb 22nd)
And he just arrived yesterday! (April 21st)
They shipped via DHL and dang he came in lighting fast, literally within 24 hours of getting a tracking number :0

 

@CitrineShards Your transparent flame is beautiful! Immediately I wish I had a little transparent one. I really worried about my ability to put colour on transparent resin, so I stuck to white resin, but they look so amazing and mystical I wish I had gone with the challenge! Wish I'd at least ordered two :Perhaps they'll release a non-limited edition one but slightly different sculpt, like they've done with previous limited dolls like 'Meow'.

He is adorable! I ordered a white one but now I am wishing I had also ordered the clear!

 

I got order confirmation for mine on Feb. 16th, but no tracking yet. Maybe the cat ears I also ordered slowed things down. (Ears in grey, Flame in white, ordered direct)

He's so cute, and bigger than I thought he'd be! For some reason I thought he would be elfkin size.

 

Could you please tell me what size of eyes will fit to him?

 

They sent him with a random pair of eyes, and those measure right at 10mm c:

The eye wells are pretty generous though, so if you go a size up to have bigger irises, they should still fit with no issue
(A size down should fit too I think)

 

Lol honestly I was struggling really hard as to what color to go with!
I thought the white would be fun, or the red for something more striking. I eventually settled on the transparent honestly mostly because I've never had anything with transparent resin xD
