Bobobie/Resinsoul 14cm and 15cm size dolls discussion part 2

Hi, to be honest the sellers that I get my Yu clothes from sell their clothes as interchangeable with LatiYellow/Pukifee so I don't think there's much of a difference in size. My Pukifee and little Yu wear their clothes interchangeably. The Pukifee bodies are just slightly bigger than Yu's. I can't say anything for the Lati yellow as I don't own one but I would assume the body size is similar. Shoe size is a different story. Yu's feet are very danty compared to Pukifee so you might want to compare Yu's foot measurements to small shoes you can find. I got most of my tiny clothes from Nubanded on Etsy and was able to find shoes by them in their shop too. Good luck and happy shopping

Yeah, I knew they were very closely the same size range, but the reference photo seemed to make them either look a little different (or I'm crazy! lol!) I thought perhaps one seem went higher up between the legs or something, so was wondering if there was any sliiiiight difference / enough to choose one "style" more than the other! Thank you so much TheLostPrincess!! Oh, I've not seen the comparison before. There does seem to be a slight difference. It looks like maybe the legs are longer on the Lati Yellow. I looked at body size comparisons back when I first got Yu and since I already have two Pukifee I thought that they were close enough to fit them and Yu. Of course they are just slightly baggy but that's ok with me since Yu is a little elf tryng to fit in the human world even tho' she knows she doesn't quite look the part. There's also the option of sewing clothes for her yourself or I know some Etsy sellers will give you the option of customizing a size. Whatever you decide I'm sure she'll look amazing

 

I don't know about Pukifee clothes, but I bought a Lati Yellow dress for my girl and it is quite large but workable on her.

 

@TheLostPrincess I'm also looking at GuguModa stuff for my sky blue Resinsoul Yu. I'm tempted to go with the Lati Yellow leggings, because according to the measurements I have for Pukifee and Lati Yellow, and measurements I've taken of my RS Yu, I think the length of the Lati Yellow leggings will be better.

I've got 5.3cm for Pukifee legs, 6.2cm for Lati Yellow legs, and 5.5-6cm for Resinsoul Yu legs. The problem is that both the Puki and Lati measurements are from me adding "waist to knee" and "knee to hip" measurements (IDK why no one does hip to floor....), so there's probably some wiggle room.

I can confirm that GuguModa's little onesie/PJ things fit RS Yu though! (Pukifee/Lati Yellow size)

The thing I'm really stuck on for my little one is a wig. I know she's too small for 5-6" by a long shot, but I'm not sure whether I should be looking for 3-4", 4" or 4.5"...which is also like the hardest size to find D:

 

Ah, I'll have to let you know how pukifee sizes fit, then, cos I bit the bullet and got that size!! lol!! But I love EVERYTHING in her shop, it's all so cute! I also got a onesie (currently worn by my pukifee!)

Was really hoping my lil one would be here by now! Sun said ~50 days (which would have been April 6th ) and I'll be going to a BJD expo on Friday!! Hopefully she sneaks in on time so we can hopefully find a wig there!!! Also, what a little cutie you've got! Love seeing RS Yu pics !!!

 

I kind of want to go and get a bobobie elfkin and a resinsoul yu. They're so cute.
I'm not sure what color to get them in, though - they're all so lovely.

 

@Epona are there particular colors you're considering?

 

I think I want to get at least one in green, so I can have a cute little goblin! For the other one, I was thinking I could get them in green as well, or maybe a different fantasy color (probably blue, grey or purple) or just a normal fleshy color. I have a cocoriang rehreh who is a forest troll and I want to get a realfee coco who will be part of this tiny little fae-related group so I've been mulling it over.
Cocoriang & Fairyland don't really do too much for special colors so the temptation of something special is strong. XD

 

@Epona I have a green Yu, so I'm quite biased towards that particular combo, but I think they're cute in every fantasy color! A lot of ResinSoul/Bobobie's fantasy colors look a lot nicer in real life than they do in their photos, if that helps at all

 

I second what GracefulWings said Bobobie/Resinsoul colors are very different in person than their stock photos, so I'd recommend trying to find owner pics if you can to get a better idea. I have a white skin elfkin and a lilac moony and while my elfkin Leif matched stock photos with his color, Aspen my moony looks like a very different color so I was a bit surprised at first but if anything I think her skin tone is much prettier in person than any of the stock photos I've seen.
I do think their fantasy colors are well worth the cost and all the owner pics I've seen seem to show them off better. Bobobie/Resinsoul does fantasy skin right imho, I just wish they'd update their photography to show more of the potential these little sweeties have because most of the stock pics I've seen really seem to not show just how beautiful these colors are.

 

Hi everybody! I'm considering getting a BBB Yu (love the head sculpt) but was wondering about the quality (posability and resin) since I already have other tinies (see in my signature) from more expensive companies. Wouldn't I be disappointed in comparison? Also, I'm planning on tan or dark tan, if anybody has any?And what about face up? Company face up is good, or would you suggest blank doll? Thank you for sharing

 

Hey @AnnaDolly! I like my Yu a lot, but she's definitely a little frustrating to pose, especially compared to my Pukifee. I think the resin quality's fine-- I have a dark tan Rong, actually, and she's gorgeous and completely seamless. I think the company faceups are fine in general, but a little generic, and I think they're standardized across resin colors and can look a little fevered on certain dolls.

 

Hi! While I haven't gotten my doll yet, I own a BBB Ariel (on a DollLeaves Body) & a Resinsoul Mei. I love their sculpts and the quality really is beautiful! I will say Resinsoul is really great with custom requests (when they are available, of course) and are definitely underrated!! My custom Yu is on her way, I'll definitely post lots of pictures if that helps!

 

Does anyone have both a Bobobie and a Resinsoul tiny? I was wondering how similar they were in terms of size, posability, etc. Are they similar enough that, say, a Resinsoul head would fit on a Bobobie body? I like my Bobobie elfkin a lot, but I was curious to see how they compared in case I ever decided to get another tiny in the future.

next question, should I order it on the standard body or would it be worth getting a different tiny body from one of the companies? does anyone know the differences in pose-ability between body sculpts?

 

I'm thinking of buying yu and dian.
May I ask for some comparisons of their height with daily life products such as soda cans or coins. I'm still doubting of it by their size

 

Please do let me know! I think she sells some things as both Pukifee/Lati Yellow size, like the pjs in the photos I posted, and they fit okay, but I'd love a confirmation on something specifically Pukifee sized =)

Yu is actually a Resinsoul sculpt It's super-confusing because BBB lists their own sculpts as well as Resinsoul's. You'd be better off ordering a Yu through Resinsoul rather than through BBB...Bobobie can be quite a disaster to deal with

My little one that I posted up above is sky blue with a company faceup (slightly worn/aged). It's decent, since they don't charge much for it, but if you have something specific in mind, I'd probably order blank =)

Elfkin is Bobobie, but doesn't appear to be on their website. I did find Elfkin on Denver Doll though =)
Probably a good thing, since BBB can be quite the nightmare to deal with ^^;

I second that remark about BBB and their lack of customer service. I sent them mails with requests for information on three separate occasions, and I never got a reply.
Resinsoul is so much easier to deal with - and Yu can be ordered directly from them in whatever colour you like.

I'm currently waiting for my Dian, and I think I will order Yu as well. I have a Moony, which has the same body as Elfkin.

My Moony poses better than my Pukifee or my PKF on a Lati body - but I think that's because they're top-heavy with those big heads. I do have to say she was probably restrung with thicker elastic by her previous owner.

 

Well, my custom black Dian - arrived this Friday. And I love him!
I tried to take a picture with a few of my 15 cm crew, to give you an idea of size.
(Poor boy had to slip on some Kelly pants which were too tight.)



My BBB Moonie stands up best, but doesn't have nice joints for posing. The duck girl is a PKF Duck on a Lati Yellow body, and she's a reasonable poser. (I also have a PKF Ante, but she's not in the photograph because she kept falling over. 'nuff said.)

Elfkin and Yu, side by side
Both ordered in 2017 from DDE and Junkyspot. They're kicky (all RS are kicky) but they're super cute and very satisfying to do impromptu photos with. I have never handled a more $$ tiny but for user-satisfaction, I'm pretty happy with my teenies.

I totally agree. I have a Yu and she is kicky but she is very photogenic and fits in well with my two Pukifees.

 

Hello! I’m planning on getting a Yu although I can’t decide between normal skin and coffee skin. The decision is really hard because I can’t find any tan skin Yu pics anywhere. I would appreciate any help or pics, thanks!

I found that some of the Dollmore Banji clothes fit. Here she's with the Sweet Rose Banji set. It's from a limited Banji doll but the dress fit's perfectly, it's not tight or anything. I also managed to get a pair of Banji socks and underwear on.

@Fairytwinkiepop Yes the Yu sculpt are adorable Skin color is always hard to choose. But personally I'm a fan of the coffee skin. I hope the pictures I sent you help. Here's one too.

 

I second the coffee skin! It mellows nicely as well. I've not ordered it for any of my own dolls, but I have for ones I've gifted to younger family members. It's not terribly dark at all, but looks realistic and works well with a variety of faceup pigments.

I finally caved and bought a in stock doll from DDE; a white skin BBB Eric. Can I just say he’s the cutest thing ever? I’m in love with him!

Sorry he’s still naked his clothes haven’t even shipped yet!

I caved, and ordered Yu, in white skin. I originally wanted to order two bigger girls, but I figured she might as well hike along - it's not like she'll be adding tons of weight to the shipping charges. LOL!!

 

Coffee skin is a risk. I know several people who've had coffee skin that yellowed to a sickly sort of green. I even once saw a coffee skin doll that was already decidedly greenish straight out of the box.
My avatar doll is a coffee skin Ian (or Lan) and she mellowed to a really nice warm glowy tan. My coffee skin Feng is yellowing much more greyish, though. I'm just glad he isn't really green, but he's not getting that nice warm colour either.

 

Has anyone found shoes to fit Yu? My friend has one and I took him home to try on Pukifee clothes so I know that fits and gave him two outfits from my own stash that my Pukifee boys don't wear so he is no longer naked, but he needs shoes and a wig.

 

I got my Yu shoes from nubanded on Etsy. Their the shoe size for Pukifee but they fit Yu too.

 

Are they huge? I tried mine on her doll and they looked huge. He looks like he can wear Obitsu shoes!

 

The Pukifee shoes I have are big. I can't find any pukifee shoes in Nubanded shop, are you sure they weren't the Pukipuki ones? I need to find shoes for my Yu as well.

I don't know how the Bobobie Elfkin compares to Yu in terms of foot size, but mine has a couple pairs of shoes that fit okay. I have a pair of Monique Gold Collection 23mm Fayette fur boots (they claim to be good for Blythe and Pukifee) as well as a pair of fabric shoes that came with an outfit for Ruby Red Galleria's Yu Ping (which claim to fit Lati Yellow).

 

Sorry it took so long to get back. Here are the shoes on my Yu that are from nubanded that were labeled as fitting lati yellow/ pukifee shoes. I think they fit Yu really well and don't look clownish on her feet, imo. But maybe they look too big to other folks.

I also believe 3-4 inch is the right wig size, I think 4-5 is for the 28cm Resinsoul YoSDs. I find RS is about a size smaller than most other companies in the same scale

He's going on display in the children's library I work at.

Has anyone restrung a Bobobie tiny before? Considering getting another and wanted to restring both Johnny and the newbie at the same time. Specifically would like any tips or what size elastic is best.

 

I have restrung both my Bobobie Elfkin and my Bobobie Moonie and 2mm string is a good size. Just a heads up, Bobobie tinies don't have s-hooks for their hands and feet so you have to either run the string through them or buy/make tiny hooks for them. With Leif my elfkin I didn't have s-hooks but I made some with paper clips when the time came to restring Aspen my Moonie.

I've found a whole whack of stuff that fits our tiny loves! Mostly Etsy shops, but still!
TrillianAndCompany - their LatiYellow dresses first perfectly! (I think I've got like 10 or more already, and 5 more on the way!)

GuguModa - I've got tons of little jumpers/pjs that fit really well and are SO CUTE; also leggings and tshirts!

LuluDollsShop - I got some really cute pastel shorts and a skirt from them, some cute skirts and tops; only thing that was too big was a really cool dress shirt with semi-detached sleeves

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from USNoono (formerly nubanded), but have yet to try it on Luna. It looks like it'll fit my Tiny Delf girl though!
