Bobobie/Resinsoul 14cm and 15cm size dolls discussion part 2

So do I! I still need to find more clothing and proper boots for my elfkin Leif, but I've been having a lot of luck with some OT dolls lately and random clothes/shoes so my hopes are high.

 

Yes, her wardrobe is pretty small as well - she has a lot of bratz clothing, which fits like regular tiny clothing on her which I find funny xD I'd probably go back for more of the OG Lori's just to steal their clothes for various dolls. Some stuff should definitely fit these little guys well, it's just a matter of finding out what. Pants don't seem to work (too long/baggy), but the tops look like short dresses so far.

 

I'll have to keep an eye out next time I'm out and about. Any luck finding shoes that fit Violetta (Yu and Elfkin seem to have similar measurements)?

 

OG mini loris are at Target.

I haven't found any shoes to fit yet, my OT Hujoo baby's Ruby Red Galleria shoes are too small, the OG mini loris and AG minis are too big (too wide, rather). I don't have any other shoes for comparison, though. I was trying to find Kelly shoes from my old collection to see if they fit. But I'm guessing not, since Yu's feet are bigger than HBS's feet, and HBS can't wear Kelly shoes.

 

I decided to try and get creative today, I had some cheap dollar store dolls that my sister and I had gotten for their clothing and since their cheap plastic shoes fit on my OT Groove AI doll I decided to try them on Leif. They do fit (sort of) he's able to stand in them and they don't fall off of his feet, but he's got a lot of growing room. Of course a thick pair of socks could help with that.

I'm thinking of stealing another pair of the shoes and covering/painting them to use so he doesn't have to be barefoot ALL the time. xD If I can't get them to look proper on him I figure I won't be out much for trying.

 

Waiting on a Resinsoul Yu in ws. Ordered her on April 20th from DDE. This will be my second Yu as my first wanted to belong to a co-worker of mine who loved her so much I just had to.... well she has a new home now so I had to order another and wait again. I have seen on here questions about shoes and what will fit little Yu and I too was having problems finding shoes that would fit, and I didn't see or I missed it if anyone was able to resolve that issue. I would like to find shoes for her before she arrives so if anyone knows please let me know. Thank you.

 

Hopefully someone will pop in and give us an idea of what might work. I've dug out another pair of the cheap shoes to use so I can attempt to make a pair for my little boy. If I find any other shoes that fit I will definitely pass on the word. Been going through all my dolls trying to find something that will fit but no luck yet. :P

Metatron and I attempted to go for a mini photoshoot at a botanical garden, but it started pouring so we were stuck under a pavilion. We still got some nice shots under there.


For shoes, I just went on ebay/etsy and bought lati yellow/pukifee sized shoes. If you put some socks on or tuck their pant legs into the shoes, they stay on pretty well. These sneakers were under $15 USD on ebay and come in different colors. If you look up fatiao on etsy, they have more formal looking shoes for about the same price.

 

Love the photo and thanks for the input on shoes! I will definitely look into that come payday! I managed with to make the cheap pink plastic ones I'd shown on Leif in a previous post into a serviceable pair of boots with glue and felt, but I would love to get some better made ones at some point.

 

Thanks for the info. I did find some little boots on Etsy that seem to work. They are made by Nubanded and come in several colors. I think because they're crocheted they grip the foot. They cost around $6.00 a pair. I will get pics of her in them as soon as I can.

 

Does anyone know if the clothes from nubanded with fit a resinsoul yu? Does anyone have a picture of a resinsoul compared to a kelly (barbies little sister)? Thanks!

That's good to know. I hadn't tried their clothes yet. Just their shoes but I have a couple of outfits on order from them for my Pukifee Twins and now I can order some for Yu also

I have a Yu in dark tan (currently moving photo hosts)... she doesn't yet have a name, I'm a bad mother lol - I haven't had much time to bond with her since I moved in July, but I absolutely love her! I'm mulling over a few names at the moment. Terra, Tatiana, Ryn, Niala/Nia, Alma, and Maire are all names I'm considering but none of them have jumped out at me yet specifically.

Have decided to treat myself to a Yu . . . am torn between getting white or pink. Or maybe green.
Any opinions?

 

Personally I love the white skin, but I can see how both pink and green would be cute too. I guess it depends on how fantasy you want him/her to look.

 

Part of me is thinking the green would be great . . . but JunkySpot has one in stock in white and I thought that might be a good start. My guess is brothers/sisters will follow soon!

EDIT: My white skinned YU is on her way!

Congrats! It's always so exciting to have a new doll on the way, and in stock dolls give a much nicer wait. I don't have a Yu so I can't help with the pic spam, I want one eventually but there are a number of dolls on the list before him/her (including my elfkin's sister - a violet skinned bobobie moony). Be sure to share pics once you get her home.

 

Yu can wear most old-school Bratz skirts and has tried OurGeneration 'Mini Lori' (from Target) tops

Hi! Does anyone know if middie blythe clothes will fit a yu? Particularly dresses? Thanks!

 

@thealienprince, Middie Blythe fits BBB March (relatively flat-chested, larger-hipped slim 27cm), I've tried the tops/dresses on Yu and they are too big. Not sure about pants, skirts, tights, etc. but guessing they would be too long.

 

I finally got my yu! They are so sweet and adorable! Now all they need is some clothes!

Hi Queennova201, I got her outfit from Nubanded on etsy. They are lati yellow/ Pukifee size but I think they do smaller sizes too.

 

Does anyone have tips on restringing these guys? When I first got my little guy, he was super kicky and couldn't stand on his own. I restrung him so that he can stand, but he's super loose now so he can't really hold poses.

 

I know it was tricky for me to get my elfkin Leif finally able to pose properly, it took restringing with new elastic and glue sueding mostly, can't remember if I wired him or not but that is also something to look into trying, hope you can get him posing how you want.

 

Thanks so much for the tips! I'll try wiring him with some pipe cleaners since I'm no good with hot glue. I always burn myself, even with a low temp hot glue gun. xD

 

Good luck! Lemme know how it goes, I know what you mean about the glue burns, I've gotten so many over the years but now I barely notice since it just seems to come with the territory. xD

 

So I impulse bought a Bobobie Nissa/Elfkin last night, and I'm quite happy that I did. I felt that my other tiny needed a friend, anyway. Happy accident? XD
