So as I understand it, we cant start a petiton thread on DOA because of the neutral status DOA likes to maintain.

 

question does anyone have a dollzone girl next to a resinsoul girl for comparison? (preferable naked comparison-just pm with photo) strange request I know but I'm still debating on my last kitty girl.

 

I have a DZ DJ body and a RS Li body, would that be okay, or did you want the SJ body?

 

How about starting a thread in the group order section of the marketplace? That's kind of what it is....I mean, FF won't take orders for the color unless 50 people want it, so that's basically like a group order, no?

I'm going to cash my gift certificate in for something of the exact value and then not buy from them again. I have gotten dolls from them twice before and been kinda hassled when I tried to ask questions...I certainly have never experienced the 'excellent customer service' I hear others talk about from them. I DO still want to sign the petition though, just to prove them wrong about there not being enough interest. I would really hate to see nothing come of this big stink that's come up.

 

Here is some Curio and Dylan drive by They are chillin on my desk ATM Dylan got a new "older" wig it goes all the way down to her calves! Its so long that i tied it up so it wont get tangled over night. Anybody know a good detangle solution for wigs that are super long?

 

@Thene0nshiva I have a long wig on my doll and and I have really long hair myself and I find if there is any tangle to ALWAYS start from the bottom and slowly work your way up through any tangles there may be and try to get the tangle away from the rest of the hair and pull little bits out at a time if it's really bad.

Re: tattoos - you all in this thread have done some great ones! Caprica is intended to have some but my drawing skills are quite rusty. I'll have to wait until after summer anyway as its incredibly hot and like 200% humidity here.

I ordered a full doll and a head and the shipping was 29$ for the shipping... I had to remind Sun to charge me shipping cause Sun hadn;tincluded it in my payments. I don;t know how much it is to get a MSD from RS but Ithink they charged me as much as if it was shipped with just an MSD doll

but I could be wrong

I am ordering some hip pieces, feet and hands, and was nervous about the shipping. If shipping is under $30, I will be happy. I'm a bit relieved now.

 

Shipping is based on weight, so unless you're ordering a whole bunch of pieces, it should be less than a full doll would be. I would guess about $20-26 based on my own previous orders.

 

Your getting the DZ in the MP aren't you..lol..she was cute I saw here earlier and should have sent a message..oh well win some loose some...off to figure out another sculpt for my kitty girl.

re tattoos would love to have some on my dolls, but I suck at eyebrows and eyelashes so I doubt I could get such great lines and details like you guess...uber jealous...they look fabulous.

 

I do actually...this is for regular wigs (not fake fur or mohair)...one capful of liquid fabric softener in a gallon or so of warm water (the measurements don't have to be perfectly exact, just in the ballpark.) Soak the wig until it's good and wet, then lay it on a towel and just comb those tangles right on outta there. You don't rinse it or anything...you leave the diluted fabric softner in there. Then just let it dry. This is the best way I've found for rehabilitating tangled or frizzy wigs.

I would like to share a picture of my boys Loki (OT Doll I know..) and Reeve Corps! But I took a picture of them together since I had received my OT doll from the faceup artist today...And I just fell in love again! But I thought Reeve and him just look pretty kick ass in this picture so I had to share! FYI, the faceup artist was Thene0nshiva! Mhmmm~ She rocks! :] Anyways enjoy!

 

I was talking with emory and while on the topic of shipping he said that he was considerig altering the shoping cart so that it would account for the fact that Canada is "international" but not "over seas" ^_^ I thought it was pretty cool so i figured I'd share

I had a bit of a.. omg moment that I should have known.. so, Daikis wig is fur and it's often very puffy and... for lack of better words, horrible... but apparntly... hats the cure thank zeus I ordered him one :< now to wait.. and also with the hat it smooths right out so it looks touchable and soft and very much longer :'D yay for silly discoverys

 

Acex- Omg. As soon as that boy comes in please please please post lots of spam. I was actually also considering a Ming boy in the sky blue but I'm a bit worried about the color being too dark for what I have in mind. (and the old blue is waaay too light)

Are you getting the default face-up or is he going to be blank?

 

@ FF subject - it might be worth doing a petition on here because they might see that enough people want the extra colours to make it worth doing. Especailly since a Iruhi you can only get though them.

Also just to let everyone know JS will order Dark tan for you if you email them and ask them about it...but it may take 2-4 months...ouch. Good to know for the future but I may just order through RS after all I'm not sure I can wait 4 months for my doll..lol

Just curious, do you know if the fabric softener would work on a real wig as well? xD

I know for a fact that the warm water trick works wonders, though could still involve some combing. Barbie hair brushes have worked well for me in catching flyaway hairs on BJD wigs thus far! I would think that lice combs would be effective too, considering how fine-toothed they are.

 

Kitty Blue> Thanks for the info on Dark Tan, that's good to know. In my case, the long wait might not be a bad thing. XD Unlike with the green gal, I might actually be prepared for a new doll. And combine that with layaway... yeah...

If you're talking about a real wig (as in made from actual human hair) then you would substitute ordinary cream rinse like you use for your own hair. The method I mentioned previously is only for regular fiber wigs (like those sold by Leekeworld and Luts.)

 

I am actually looking for a way to keep tangles out! She lucky has no tangles. But the wig is awesome and so long XD If I grew my hair for 6 years I get it could get that long XD so here is a picture of how log it is.

I have a doll (Magnolia) whose hair is even longer than that (goes all the way to her feet) and I've never had any trouble keeping it from tangling...just a simple brush out from time to time as with any wig (perhaps a tiny spritz of water if the air is really dry and static is a problem.) But if it did become a mess, I would just use the rehabilitation method I already spoke of. Prior to that, I'd just keep it gently brushed.

 

I started a discussion thread about fantasy/ unusual resin colors with a poll because that is the best I can do. And we are allowed to use an offsite petition and link it to our signatures. It was suggested that not only to have your name but also your DOA name if available. : )

Mortifox, I love that faceup...it's so cute and unique! And I really adore the way you've shaded around her eyes. I'd been thinking of giving my new blue Mei (adopted from the marketplace, arrived only yesterday) a similar shaded treatment, so it's really nice to see how you've done yours (with softer edges...I really like that!) I've seen it done many times before with harder edges, but I really prefer how yours came out. Color me inspired! Thanks!
