So many pictures... Been trying to catch up on the ten pages I missed over the weekend. Most importantly.... MING!!!

Like others, I'm not sold on his face at all. :/ It is cute, but it may be too cute for what I have in mind. I love his ears, so that definitely pulls me in, but a more mature face would have been nice...

HOWEVER!!! As also mentioned... all we have right now are some really sub-par photos. ^.^;;; I reserve final judgment until I see owner pictures, especially since I cannot order another doll until Christmas. Gille Dubh needs a body, but it remains to be seen if a Ming will be it!

 

Such lovely boys I love the fact that you have the jun sitting in front of some water. His ears really do lend themselves to being fishy!

Mirrin- I'm super happy that Letty's faceup is done and is on way back to you soon. I think asking for redder lips was a gorgeous idea!

Petition-Thing: Because we all are running around like chickens with our heads cut off & Because feather fall is demanding that it be "doll collectors" I've submitted a question thread to the mods about what I could do & if it would be allowed. I'll update when I find a yes or no answer. It would be easier for us to start a thread here- get it circulated in the waiting room, and specific doll sized discussions. After that, post that link to facebook on featherfalls wall for others to see it and click on it. If they dont have access to DOA they could comment on that post and be counted in for "being interested". I think that would be the most user friendly possible while meeting Feather Falls requirments. I just hope its allowed.

LOL...yep I did that on purpose...the fish are eventually going to be my Jun twin's pets and will be hanging out in their room (a very long time from now...they are not yet to be introduced into the group/stories)

 

The problem with that is that- anyone can sign those. I have a feeling that Feather Fall will prove the "Prove it" to be as difficult as possible. Which is why i think we are shying away from petition sites.

I know my sprite didn't come with any s hooks in her hands or feet, but I was wondering if some rs/bbb bodies do come with s hooks.

And since I mentioned her( and because I was inspired by everyone else's photos) here is Arianna.

ALL Rs bodies bought recently come with S-hooks.
And so should all BBB bodies. - I think awhile ago they changed everything to be S-hook compatable. So if you are looking to buy a newer body it should have s-hooks.

 

not positive on BBB, but yes all newer RS dolls have hooks. I know I have 3 old bodies (2 RS and 1 BBB) that did not come with hooks...much pain..lol

 

Wait, if their hands aren't attached with s-hooks... How in the world are they attached? O.o

 

Elastic is strung through the hole instead of a shook. It's a pain but Cassie needs to be restrung WITHOUT the s hooks cus she's just not poseing as well with them in, either no friction or too much :/

You Know.. I think I'd Stay with The Junky Spot for my RS dolls... I don't want to put up with any dollie drama... i had enough with that from the lady i tried to buy Ryuu and my OT RS Bei off of... so i when to the JP for them..

 

Feather fall~ Customer Lost. It's now official. A business should encourage you to order through them... Not -telling- me to order through someone else. I may just have to remove them from my FB just to keep myself from getting moderated.

 

I was really thinking of Ordering some Cloths off them for My crew.. but now....

 

So what have Featherfall been doing?

 

I've never brought from FF but all this has really turned me off from them.

Also thanks for the S hook info. I bought my girl last year but she didn't come with s hooks. Right now I have some I made in her but I'm thinking of buying some from mint on card for her.

 

Lynn Nexus: Oh hum, didn't realize the difference in size. Thanks a lot! ^^ I'll just save my money, and there will always be MSD-sized hooves on MP in one way or another. I want them bulkier than RS makes them :<

Karla-chan: Featherfall doesn't want to do the extra work of letting you order dark tan or dark grey dolls >.>

 

Does JS allow you to order Dark tan dolls? if so I'd prefer to go through them as well.

 

I see that kind of sucks, i am pretty much stalking RS new dolls in hope they will release a girl that will be good for my character so i can get the dark gray. And previously i have got my dolls though Featherfall, but i guess that won't be happening now.

Kitty Blue~ I don't know, but Emory pretty much immediately said "yes" to pretty much everything else I asked and I certainly havn't seen any reason given by FF other than "we don't want to" Soooo.... I'll ask him?

 

just sent him a message...not certain if I'm going to order right now anyway, but good to know for the future. As it stands if I get Ming now I won't receive him until Aug, originally plans for the photo story was spring, but fall may work?? We'll see I just really want to get my last kitty girl.

And on that note I know someone has a Tiah...I like her wide eyes but I'm not certain about the rest of her face...I believe I remember a post somewhere with her on the double jointed body? Pixie and Tiah aren't the same are they with different ears??

I have a blank Tiah on the Lu body (What can I say, I wanted the SJ body for her, and the hands, so saying 'on Lu body' was easiest!) that I can take some face photos of for you. She has lovely large eyes, but her nose and mouth are both smaller...worked perfectly for my character, so I went for her. I could also pop her head on Shikyo's body (Kera, the Tiah, is NS, Shikyo is LT, so the colors wouldn't match) I need to do some 'head swapping' photos anyway...

Karla-For some of us it's NOT just the colors available/not available to order that's the annoyance right now...that's jsut a big part of it. Check out the 1/6 thread for the other part of the annoyance right now. I'll still order from them when they have good sales on (as money is more of an issue for me than principles at the moment...sad, I know) but it DOES mean that there are a few dolls I want to get, that I have to order direct. Of course...at some point I also need a NS Iruhi head, and for THAT, I have no choice but to go through FF. *shrugs*

starting in a few weeks I'm saving for a red skin ming :'3 it's gonna take me 6 weeks in total but totttallllly worth it his little face has stolen my heart, and I was so set on a red song to.. damnit I never wanted hooves

 

lol...thanks for the photo I do really like her eyes but she looks youngish to be a supermodel for my last kitty girl...I wanted the big eye look though, may just go with my original plan of Rong,(even though I already have a Rong) unless I can hold out on the hopes of another MSD girl in the future.

pfft...I won't even go on a tangent about the 1/6 doll discussion. Yeah that is a little strange. Anyway yep I have plans for an Iruhi boy so I'll have to order from them again...maybe next time they have free shipping. That was the reason I bought from them as well was the saving some money aspect. The no naked campaign they did was kinda joke because the items I received didn't even fit my dolls.

I know Pengu will take really good care of her!! and I hope you guys don't kill me but i've made my rong into the new Nox, just thought it looked so cute with the old wig and horns on her, and I'll be saving up for Ming thanks to Pengu since I really really need to reshell Umeboshi's i've been waiting for 7 months to.. o-o;

Thanks for the info on that i will check out the 1/6 boards. But they have mostly been good with me before and the dress i got for the no nude doll campaign actually fit nicely. But i know they can be pretty late with things, i am waiting for some masks off them that has been a while.

 

I received a pair of undies (that didn't fit, not sure what size they were) and a long sleeve top that fits my SD...and I ordered a MSD, so I guess its just the luck of the draw with that one. ooh cool I saw some of those masks and contemplated buying one, can't wait to see them. They have been pretty friendly to me as well when I accidently forgot to mark red on my Iruhi girl they were quick to make sure they contact RS to correct the order and I just simply sent xtra $ to paypal. So I guess I can't complain, just would love to get my dark tan dollies with free shipping.

 

I guess it could have bee luck. And as for friendly i think it depends who you speak to when i got Drisimi the person i spoke to was more then helpful and helped me a lot. And when finding out she was going to be a drow made sure she came with some red eyes. Which was very nice with her. I did have a little trouble when speaking to them over my Iruhi though.

But they where very good when they sent me the wrong ears! ^^;

And cool i am getting a fox and a rabbit mask. I think they would both look pretty cool with Kumiho since sometimes i have her as a rabbit and others as a fox because i ended up with two sets of ears. I also think the rabbit mask would be cool for my new girl, who is going to be off topic on here.

 

I was actually considering ordering an Iruhi from FF. I'm glad I checked here today because I don't think the color I wanted would have been available through them.

Anyway, I was bored today, so I put a couple tattoos on Gungnir. Forgive the weird splotchiness. He was still wet after the cleanup and I didn't realize it when I took the picture.

Heh, she's had a red wig for the first year of her life.. I'm not changing it now..

It's a part of her character, same goes for Sebby.. and Titiana. I don't change my doll's wig colours unless it's something their character's do!
The story behind Letty's is she actually is a red head, but dyes it bright red. That what probably way too much info, eh?

I noticed mine all have black hair. But Elise changes it up sometimes, and Remus (OT) loves to change it all the time!

 

Looking good :P The tattoo I did for Gungnir was the first one I did using watercolor pencils and pastel. I'm probably going to do it again, only neater (sharper pencils, I think!). Yours came out very neatly. May I ask what technique you used?

 

I just used watercolour pencils and chalk pastels... Free handed them on!

 

I drew the design on a piece of paper first and tried to transfer it over... I think that's where my problems began. The lines weren't as neat or as varied in weight as I would have liked, and then I had to trace back over them again. I'll probably do a freehand design the next time.

 

Asking my question here because no one on the mnf thread new - Would a rs ju head fit on an a line mnf girl body?

 

Deejy_but~ I'm pretty sure Snow's Ju is on a MNF body... not sure if it's a-line or not... but I'm pretty sure their necks are the same...

 

I just ordered my Ming in Skyblue Don't know what I will do with the horns since he's going to be a Unicorn too but knowing FF they don;t change doll order even f you don;t want something. The magnets in the head might come in handy though Easier for his unicorn horn to get a good location. I'll see huh?

But yeaaah so glad I got my hooved boy, couldn't pass that free shipping. so YEAH! Amalthea will have her Llyrr.... Iiiiiin a couple of months =)

re: hooks- When I got Loki, I didn't even know s-hooks were a thing. When I asked a friend to help me restring her she cussed at her for not having hooks. o.O then i learned :p

Does anyone know if shipping is less expensive to only order parts for dolls from RS, or if it is just as expensive when you order parts + a 1/4 doll?
