Arez is so lovely. He' has a kinda thoughtful nature to him. I think his wig and eyes look just wonderful on him, even if the wig is just temporary, Penguin-chan!

And yep, I am stoked about getting a camera that works. I really have been wanting one that I can adjust the DoF with!

@ Tiazara - Yeah, the wig I bought was from the same person, so it will have similar aspects but just be a dark color. :] And I can't wait to see what it will look like on your Sprite! :3

Wow. That is an old camera...>.< My last camera was about 3 years old, but I sold it to a friend for $20 since she needed one. But at least we will be expecting alot of pictures in the next coming days!!

I found a little dog in the toy department at Target that's the perfect size for an MSD pet. When you push on the dog's back it wags it's tail and moves around.

I am scared that my doll is going to be later then planned actually. Because i got an E-mail saying it is on it's way to Featherfall, which id going to take over a week (not counting Christmas delays) Then it will take another 2 weeks to get to me. And i am meant to be seeing a friend on the 8th to get her face up done, and now i think it might not even get here in time for that.

 

Rong is here and her dye bath is finished!

I decided to try to get really creative with her... I wanted her to have a gradient to her skin, because she's going to be some type of forest sprite or creature along those lines. (The whole idea isn't decided yet.) So I used a light tan body as the base (though the head was NS), and dyed dark brown. Here is the end result:



Sorry for two pictures in this post, but I wanted to show her clothed also. The eyes are her eyes, but the wig and clothes are temporary until I figure out who she is!

 

PinkCow, that looks fantastic! That gradient skin looks very nice and unique, I really like what you did there!

WONDERFUL and UNIQUE girl. She has become one of my fav Rongs now! If she had white hair, her skin color would definitely POP!

@Kittywolf13 - Ariel Twins!? What color is she going to be??? But I am happy that you enjoy her, and personally I like the name Cora, and she does look similar to the girl from Tron. The wig is good for showing her ears, that's why I prefer short wigs on dolls with elf ears.

PinkCow- WOW!!! I ADORE that dye job! It's so unique and beautiful! I would suggest really pale hair and eyes (maybe even pupiless) to make the gradient stand out even more. Can't wait to see her final design!!!

Kittywolf13, hearing about your twin Ariels is so exciting! I'm working on the second of my Fei twins at this time and having twins is so much fun! Your new lilac Ariel is adorable and it will be so nice to see her NS twin when she arrives.

Tressa, your cat boy is absolutely amazing! I love what you've done with him...he's absolutely wonderful! Just looking at him makes me want to purr-r-r-r-r-r.

Also, does anyone have the measurements for the Resinsoul DJ body? I was planning on making some clothes for my boy so that when I finally order him he doesn't have to hang around naked. xD

 

@pinkcow: fantastic Rong...is that RIT dark brown?? I was going to order a RS dark tan boy at some point but that color looks much darker, exactly how I would prefer him. You have a Dark tan Wu head don't you? Could you by chance take a photo of your dyed Rong next to him for a comparison shot? Thanks

Kittyblue, yep, it's the Rit dark brown. I was going to use the tan, but the dark brown got much nicer results for what I had in mind!

Yes they all have their own unique style, they are pretty much all mini me's..lol..I have so many different styles myself that its very hard to pick just one, so I figured why not create them for my dolls. Wait till you see the rest of my incoming gang (3 dolls)..which crossing fingers will be here in probably 3 weeks???

Looks like my An won't get here until January... at least one of my new dolls needs to hurry and arrive already! Having 3 incoming just seems a bit excessive.

 

@kittywolf: congrats on the twins...they almost don't look like the same mold, unless you really look at them..its amazing how the different color and wigs can make a doll look completely different. They look really cute together. I was thinking about twins myself for a later project a Jun girl and Jun boy, but that may not be until closer to next xmas. Thanks...my crew is definetly growing and they have some exciting times ahead of them, with 3 new dolls coming in and 2 more that will be ordered the day after xmas.

Thanks guys...it was very trying to get them all in place, had to lean most of them up because they were being uncooperative and falling over. sigh...I think I need to restring all of them with thicker elastic and see if that helps. Even Audryme who use to just strike a pose for me just keeps buckling at the knees, no clue why since I didn't tough anything on her accept her arm string. Well I got my photos uploaded onto my laptop so now the long process of editing and hopeing that my crappy camera took some half way decent shots.

@pinkbjdgirl98: congrats! Mei is a wonderful sculpt..what color will you be getting?

lol, working on it, I am making an outfit for Pixie at the moment, for a group challenge, and almost completed an outfit for Lian. I have some Mister Super Clear arriving in January sometime, and some pastels, acrylics are next...then in probably March, I will be able to begin the face-ups on my three girls who don't have make up. :-)

Looking at everyones pictures makes me even more impatient for the arrival of my RS Mei. I was hoping to have her before Christmas but it doesn't look like it at this rate.

 

Finally all caught up with the many pages I had to read. Way too much to comment on individually, but wow! Lot's of lovely dolls, and lots of new ones too.

I like the new sculpts, I might have to get Tooya the new DJ body, he needs to be a little more filled out anyway, and it looks a bit bigger then the SJ one. Or is it just me?

PinkCow: That's a lovely cocoa brown dye job and I like the face up, too. Did you start with a white doll or a tanned one? One of the dolls on the maybe list needs to be purple but the RS purple is too light for my needs so I thought of getting him in purple and overdying him to the desired colour but don't know if that'd be the best course of action.

On the subject of twins... yeah, I've got some twin RS tinies on my list that I'm resisting like mad. I think it's ultimately futile but I have to try.

 

iron_dog, the head was NS originally and the body was light tan; I dyed them to match. The faceup is actually the default! I just left it on when I dyed her. I like the result.

 

PinkCow: Go you! I'd have never guessed that they were different coloured resins. She turned out great.

 

she turned out great, yeah I dyed my ariel head to try and match my lt body she has.. She came out more yellowy so I'm gonna have to blush the head to match the body
