They're both very cute, KarieChaos. Liina's white skin contrasts so much with Tremis and his purple skin and red wig!

Kitty Blue, the only blue cat character I can think of is from Final Fantasy, and more of a...huge blue lion than a cat. He's also extraordinarily manly, which Kitiblu is not. :P

Also, I'm into my fourth week of waiting now, ahhh I am going to die from my impatience.

I disagree... not a "lame" shoot at all! I love in the city and don't have my own garden... I always think that it's such a nice setting if you do have one because not only is it your GORGEOUS doll. but all your local plant life! Plus, with Letty, the plant life really is a nice back ground for her VIBRANT red wig to really stand out! This pic is AWESOME and I'm headed over to peek through all the others!!! What an adorable girl you have... I really love seeing her!!!

Your girl looks so cute in the garden! I agree with you, the more pics you take and places you try the more ideas will come to you! My pics suck... but I'm proud nonetheless because they're all taken with a camera phone, and I think I'm really improving!

Minnie looks so serene! What an awesome place to sit a doll! It's like nature made a picture frame JUST for your gorgeous girl!!!

Does that beaded trim wrap all the way around to form the trim at the top as well, or are those 2 separate pieces of the same trim? I'd love to see her from the back, or looking over her shoulder...

Wow, LolaWants you really brought everything over from the last discussion. But yes that is what i found when i was photographing my dolls too, but gardens are pretty and simple so i can see why a lot of people start there.

Are you feeling better now, LolaWants...? I think Ayanami always looks amazing, especially for pics with a camera phone! She always has an angelic look about her thanks to the phone not being able to get the colour balance right because of her gorgeous pale skin~

And because the character she is based on is a drow then her skin is black so the white is the best colour. I didn't paint on the tattoo thought a friend was kind enough to do it for me. But i am happy it worked well on the lilac too.

 

You know, by the time I get round to posting in the gallery from that shoot last week, I'll have used up most of my photos. Didn't manage to take many to start with. Anyway, I'm cat sitting again, so Minnie's back in her box. I've got this one though:



I feel like what she really wants is a comb in her hand so that she can sort out her hair. I also think she ought to have a mermaid tail in this photo and be sitting on a rock - maybe like a Waterhouse painting. This bag is big enough for her to easily fit inside.

 

Karla-Chan, that photo is fabulous! She has such a dramatic look.

By the way, that moderation notice in post two - have we been naughty? I know people have sometimes posted more than one photo, but it was the bit about advertising outside the marketplace that left me bemused. I wasn't aware of anyone doing that. Unless it refers to general linking to places outside DoA - like when we've been talking about furniture and stuff. I couldn't see a similar notice on one of the earlier threads I checked.

It's a Paris Gold label collection, carrot red. I'd already bought a black one for my off topic Delilah Noir doll Alicia, and I borrowed it briefly to see if it would fit Minnie and it did.

She seems like a really interesting character, and I think her tattoo is very nicely painted, so your friend deserves a well-done.

Mirren, I think the MP thing is a slightly generic addition, not entirely sure.
As far as I'm aware it's only advertising things you are selling on the MP that's not allowed (I just had to go and check that in case I was mistaken Dx ), so I think our discussion was acceptable?

 

Well, I've never sold anything and have no plans to do so. I love my dolls! Only have three and one is off topic at DoA, but I love her too.

So the carrot red color is good, and vibrant, then! I bought a 'Destiny' from the Monique Gold collection/label in the burgundy color as the color samples I saw on a site for the color was BEAUTIFUL...but it looks REALLY washed out and de-saturated color-wise, so I told myself not to trust the color samples for the carrot red, either. I may just need to get Yllora a new Destiny style wig in the carrot red or double red...she's normally more of a wine or burgundy shade of red for her hair...but a carrot or double red could look REALLY good on her, too.

Speaking of my little Yllora...SPAM! Heh.


And for those interested...Yllora will be getting a bit of a make-over soon-ish. I'm turning her into a World of Warcraft hybrid...a mix of her OC design, and her WoW Blood Elf self. *nodnods* I'm 'upgrading' her character to a 60cm doll, but can't part with her MSD sized self, either! But I don't NEED 2 OC strict Yllora dolls, either...solution? OC design, WoW version hybrid! Heh. Which will likely add another doll to my 'need to get' list...

Has anyone got a WoW race height chart? for the females would be best...I'm thinking of getting a Dwarf to go with her. Yes, ignoring the whole Belf wouldn't be friends with a Dwarf thing...but I need to know that the height difference between Yllora and the other doll will be accurate enough.

 

I was actually even happier with the red in real life than on the site. I bought it from Facets by Marcia. I also like the Christine and the Navajo in the same colour. I was thinking of getting one of them at some point for Minnie, though I'm not in a particular hurry. There were a few carrot red styles on that size 6-7 page/site.

Hi, where can you find wigs for March girl. ^,^ All so how well are Bobobie joints and are there any problem with them that I should look out for.

 

Sukiowari March is a 1/6 (27cm) scale girl, her info would be in the tiny doll section. Her wig size is 5/6, or 5.5" I recommend searching ebay or the marketplace here for 5/6 or "Lati Yellow" wigs.

I have a 1/6 girl so I can answer your questions there. :3 Now, if you want to know about Bobobie and Resin Soul Mini size (42cm) girls I have a Mei and she is on the original single jointed body. Her pose-ability is great for being single jointed, her wrists and ankles come with s-hooks. I'd have to say straight from the box her only real problem was posing her head, I could never get her to tilt her head in any direction until I hot-glue sueded her neck.

That's a good point to bring up, Mirren. No, it isn't because we've been naughty...this thread is actually pretty good about following the rules. Ginarolo just put that there as a basic reminder. Some of the threads can get really out of hand in the discussion area with people posting multiple photos in a single post and thinly veiled advertising (such as "if anyone knows anyone who's selling, I want to buy...or..."I think I'm going to have to sell my doll if anyone's interested"...or..."look at this cute outfit I made, PM me if you want to buy it".) Those things will get you in big trouble everytime! So if you see a post where any of this is going on, Gina's just asking you to report it so it can be taken care of (just click on that little triangle with the exclamation mark at the bottom left of each posting) and reminding us in a friendly way to keep our thread fun, tidy, and clear of potential problems.

 

And now onto fun stuff! I entered Bellamorte in a "fantasy handmade outfit swap" here on DoA. She received a groovy outfit made of shredded tulle, leather and chains!!! So here she is lounging in her new outfit called "Midnight Valkyrie" made by the talented fallenfae. (She's obviously contemplating what unfortunate soul will be the first to feel the bite of her sword just as soon as she conjurs up the energy!)

Poetic--Gorgeous, as always! Love that stripy fur you've added to Bellamorte's room! I'm going to have to remember that....I have a few furs that I should dig out...a bit of a beaver pelt would make an awesome "bear skin" rug for one of my girls! (Sorry to those of you out there that are anti-fur, but I live in Alaska and fur is just kind of a way of life here. ^_^;; ) You inspired me to create rooms for my girls too....not permanent, unfortunately, as I don't have the space--currently Demara's room has taken over my dinning room table! We've been eating in the livingroom for two weeks... XD;; I fear my boyfriend and my roomie may take it down for me if I don't move it soon. :P

Thanks i am happy you like it and we haven't been too naughty at the opening at the last thread it was please only post one, unless we needed to explain something, then more then one was OK as long as we didn't go too crazy. The problem it can cause if we post too many images is it has an impact on the speed of the forum because of the size of the threads, which is why they close things if they get too long. It keeps the forum running smoother that way.

Yeah...I seriously looking into getting a new wig for Yllora in the carrot or double red colors offered by Monique! Thanks to both of you who showed what the colors look like in owner photos! Like I said...a preview photo of the 'burgundy' color LOOKED perfect...but in person it's just...blah...when you want a really vibrant or saturated color. It's pretty and all...but not for Yllora. And while the more orange-y reds aren't really her, either, well...her MSD self won't care much anymore! *laughs* Yay for going a little off her character design and adding in some of her World of Warcraft self elements!

Anyway...I've got things to do, and so had better go do them!

OK...finally updated my sig! And my avatar, too! Now all 11 of my current resin kids are in my sig (to be updated once they all have faces!) and Shikyo is my avatar...like I always meant for her to be. Heh.

 

Thanks. ^_^ She is Iruhi's head on the new double jointed RS body. Her studs are balls I clipped off of a ball chain necklace (picked up at JoAnns for a couple bucks) with a wire cutter. The eyebrow ring...which seems to be hidden by her hair in this pic...is a small jump ring, the nose ring and cartilage piercing (also not visible in this pic) is another bit of ball chain, but a much smaller 'pull through your ear' earring kind. The earrings are actual hoop earrings with a star charm added on.

Rae's ears were pierced at the factory (ask for it for you next doll--it's free!). If you want to do it yourself, I recommend buying a tiny micro drill/pin vice. They less than $10 and are perfect for piercing ears. Much safer and more controlled than an electric drill for such a tiny project. I recently bought this one....haven't used it yet though so I can't really vouch for its performance.
