These were taken when I was seeing how well the new DJ limbs would work with the old SJ body, just to explain some. Heh. The body is NS, and was about a year old when I took the photos. The legs are LT, and were brand new when I took the photos.

 

Posting from my phone, so I unfortunately can't very well go back and look at everyone's posts I've missed, but I just wanted to let everyone know my Iruhi has shipped from RS! Now to get him to Featherfall and then to me! ^^

 

Vevet thanks for posting pictures of your girl. Your pictures confirmed that the small bust was perfect for what I wanted.

bulletsBANQ: I still trying that with my boy... I will do a new hot glue sueding and I'll try again, the girl is NOT with hot glue sueding.

shirahime: Yes, after I restrung her, the default strings are very bad.

 

Seems like the boy's posing is wayyyyyyyyyy worse than the girl's :B I hope he'll pose much better after you sueded him!

 

@vevet: wow that's awesome you got her to stand on one foot...my Mei double jointed girl will barely stand for me let alone on one foot, maybe her small chest gives her more balance..lol

@pinkcow: yay for your Iruhi! I just received a message from them as well so my green Mai girl has been shipped to Feathefall as well. My pink Li should have been on the same order but I haven't received a message for her yet???

Featherfall is full of awesome - they placed their order with RS on the 15th, and I ordered two days later, assuming my order would go to RS with their batch order on the 31st. But NOPE! They added it on to the order they made with RS on the 15th.

 

I seem to remember a posting somewhere of a red Iruhi girl??? Does anyone have a link?

 

Can I please put in a request for Li spam?

 

@Kittywold13 - Thank you, I abosulutely adore Arez!! I can't wait for his wig to arrive then I'll spam him alot more.

@vevet - Thank you, and I had to change out his eyes as soon as he arrived. Didn't like that dark green arcylics I received with him... I was hoping for a blue. Oh well.

@lilly22 - Arez is a normal skin, and I did get him on the single joint body. Since from what the pictures I saw of the new male double joint body, it just seemed to "skinny" to be male like in my taste. But thank you.

 

@noozie: so far there is only one Li that I know of that has arrived and that would be Vevet. Mine is on order and has not arrived yet. If you look back a page you can see Vevet's Li.

Only 7 more days and I can order me a new doll I finally have decided on the molds for the remainder of my 3 kitty/fox girls...as long as they don't come out with any more options buy the time I order all of them...lol...so thats 4 more girls and 4 more boys I have planned. I think I'll order one right after Christmas (maybe 2 if my boyfriend is buying me one) So if all goes planned I will be getting an Iruhi girl and Wu.

BulletsBANQ: On the subject of males and one-foot posing: I've got Roman standing on one foot next to me as I type this. I can't nab a picture right now, but I promise he's doing it! And I haven't sueded him yet, either. He's also in shoes that are like twice as big as his feet. It took a minute to find his balance (mostly because his head [AH] weighs a ton) but it IS possible!

 

Thanks for the info. I know the RS SJ boy body can do the one leg pose thing since once a upon time, my RS body did it too XD But I'm too lazy to do it recently! And day #17 waiting for Lexington. D: I want him so baddddddly.

I ordered him a black wig, so his eyes will pop when you look at him. The pink wig is for my Li~ :3 And yeah I thought it resized, fixing it now... >.<; Better?

Anyways, I went to photoshop and played with the colors and what not, and made the image cooler looking? o.o

Penguin-chan, your boy is so gorgeous looking. Gosh, I really love that sculpt and RS did such a lovely job on his faceup. It's so soft and natural looking...and those male eyebrows are pure love.

You know, I'm really amazed by the RS faceups. They're lovely in their own right if you decide to keep them, they're a wonderful jumping off place if you decide to enhance them, and they're a great interim faceup if you're wanting a completely different look down the road (or as in my Bellamorte's case, your cat rubs against your "enhanced" faceup while the MSC is drying, facilitating a completely new faceup!) Regardless, RS faceups are wonderful and beautiful and worth well more than their price I think.

 

I agree with this - I really like RS faceups. There are some wonderful owner faceups, but I love the natural look of so many of the default faceups too.

 

I usually just enhance my RS face-ups a teeny bit- a little more color here, maybe a bit darker around the eyes. But I have also seen some really spectacular custom face-ups- especially the fantasty ones.

When I look at these Resin Soul faces, I just think, honestly, how could you not think they are so beautifully sculpted? They have so much charm and personality and depth. They aren't just blank pretty faces, they have character and personality.

I love that for 10$ my Li will be coming home with a face, and since it's only 10$, I'm not going to feel too bad about sending her out or changing it myself when I get the chance. I do think they can look a little bit bland sometimes, but I honestly think the RS/BBB faceups are prettier than some of the pricier company defaults... often I dislike the prominent use of blush and gloss by some companies, especially on tinies.

Very true! I love that it only costs $1o for a face-up from them! Though I count their face-up as a "base" meaning that we could add something more to it ;3 I got Lexington with the default face-up, but I will be enhancing it alot 8D

I'm opposite of you, I adore prominent blush and glossy lips! Especially on tinies, they look so much cuter that way! I do cringe when I see way too much blush on a manly sculpt though >w<

Me too. I always add more gloss... And I love blush! It can be overdone, but it takes a lot for me to feel that way!

 

karla-chan: I don't know about that specific bag, but I have a DollZone MSD bag of the same approximate dimensions and I routinely put 2 MSD' s in it. The bags are generally roomie and when I put mine in, I have an extra pillow in the bottom and I cover them with a blanket I knitted that adds another 1/2" of padding on top. I'll put them in so that the head of one is between the feet of the other, but you can also put them in side by side. Face-up protectors are a must and I usually leave their shoes/boots off until I get wherever I'm going with them.

 

@Karla: that's pretty cool bag...looks big enough to me...but I would measure the carry cases and compare to the measurements that are on the link. In fact it looks big enough for 3..lol

 

Thanks guys, looking at the bag, it does look like it will fit my current girls and bags into there. But i am not sure if it will fit the new bag and one old bag, because i don't have one. But i would like a bag that will fit 2 MSD's in for when i go to a meet. I think i would like it to fit the bags in for the extra protection. But do you think just padding it with the two cushions would be enough? Do you think they would risk bagging into each other and breaking if i just popped two dolls in there?

 

I always add more blush and gloss to my dolls' cheeks and lips cause I think they're not enough!

With enough padding, I dont think anything will be breaking :3 You can give them face-mask for extra face-up protection though!

 

Do you think they would fit in with the bags that come with the dolls though?

 

So, doll plans are constantly shifting and changing this way but one thing is a constant - I'm debating between head sculpts for my hybrid faun boy and was requesting some picture spam please of these boys: Iruhi, Mai, Jun and Wu. These are currently the contenders.

Also if anyone's Yao has arrived, I'd love pictures too of her as I'm considering getting her head on a Rong body in lilac and making her my dark elf. She does remind me of a younger Ai but as I'm not getting anymore SD size dolls, I'd love my dark elf to be MSD sized.

Does anyone have a dark tan Song? I can't remember ever seeing one. I have this character, Miira, whom I will bring home next (whenever that will be ... I've bought too many dolls lately and feel bad), and I was thinking light tan for him, but it's actually way too light. Dark tan might be too dark instead, though ... not sure what to do.

Thanks for the spam guys! They all look so lovely ... I think I may be more indecisive than before about which sculpt I like better ... is Jun a mermaid/elf ear version of Mai? Their eye shape seems quite similar...

 

Jun and Mai are in fact the same except for the ears.

 

I have a quick question of people with an Iruhi, does anyone have comparison shot between 14mm and 16mm eyes? Or just pictures to how Iruhi looks with 16mm eyes since i know Iruhi's head is a little bigger then the ones i have.

 

Karla~ The bag you showed -might- hold two dolls in their bags. According to the dimensions there's enough room, but it says right there there is padding already in the bag and the bag is not square. I think it would be a tight fit and you might not be able to close the bag with two RS bags in it.

Shirahime~ I know the feeling about the light tan. I love the color... but it's way lighter than I had hoped. It looks more like a natural skin tone than a tanned one to me. I suppose that puts me with all the other's wishing they had 4 tans not 2 :/

 

I see, thanks. I am very tempered by it though... If any one knows any one that would be a littler bigger and would, then that would be awesome!
