I have a little Lu and after messing with her for a while I think I will be able to handle Mu's ears and horns. I am dying to get to his hooves and try out a few things.

I've been very tempted by Ai, but while I really like their msd hoofy legs, the sd sized ones just don't look as good to me so no Ai for me, at least not as she normally comes. She's definitely on my list (in a COLOR) for whenever I'm in the market for another big girl.

I'm certainly happy to have him home. He's so pretty now! Please to be enjoying EVEN MORE SPAM!

So Vespera has temporarily become off-topic for this thread, because I'm reshelling her. She is going to be in normal skin, and I've gotten her a Soom Beryl body, but I need to order her head. I also want to get the Dan horns for her, because I was never crazy about the horns she came with. FYI, the Beryl hooves are HUGE. So much bigger than the RS ones LOL.

Would you like to see D? I have some pictures of that one you know, cause he's my special little baby. There's just something about him that makes me so happy. Tipsyfox I so glad that you love him and I still can't get over how different he and Silas are. You know what I mean though, there is just something about them, even when they aren't smiling, that makes them such a comfort. Dallieh is even snuggly. I'm going to tell you a story about Dallieh at Dollism. I brought D with me to walk around the dealer's room on the last day. I had planned to order my one thing that day, which was a spiritdoll lavender, and happens to be the shell for his sister Tiamet. So we checked out of our room and had the car up front and then went back to place the order on her. I had her picture pulled up on my phone as there was a huge language barrier. I had to hand off my wallet and phone to Okami after the girl helping me with my order filled out the first section of the order form and went to hand me the clip board, So I'm looking around for a place to put D and then notice, the girl was standing there with her hands outstretched offering to hold him. So we traded. I got the clip board and she took Dallieh, who curled into her arms and put his hand on her chest. She got the sweetest expression. She... loved him. Some one else came up and she... sorta asked if she could place him down so he was sitting on the table beside her, which was fine, but she kept touching him, arranging his hair and placing her fingers on his shoulder or knee until I was done with the paperwork... then she handed him back. So it turns out... She was probably the person who sculpted D's little sister. I had her shelled incorrectly and now that is being put right. I didn't know who she was, the girl who offered to hold D so I could do the paperwork, until I wrote to spiritdoll a couple days later. He knew though. I have some haunted resin here. I still have to tell him that he's supposed to only be a doll. sometimes I think he forgets cuase he does far too many things that could be simply coincidence or chance... and some things that are just plain impossible. It's worse when he's with Angel.

So here is some spam of my little one. I love this picture. My beautiful raven, dark and pure. You know, even before they meet he dreams about Angel. After Angel is gone he is haunted by him. Every time he closes his eyes, all he can see is that beautiful one, that singular person, and the memory of his flesh, his smell, his pain, and all the color and life in his big eyes... Dallieh doesn't know how to be anything but Angel's. To be anything else hurts. This is a song that reminds me of that and a picture of him with his eyes closed. I'm glad that their passion moves you Steamwitch! Your little one is gorgeous



Everyone's little ones are so gorgeous. I agree with the more spam. I'll post more of D and Angel if you like or my kitties but I haven't gotten to work on them cause I need some boy parts.

 

Julian, my Dong, is very versatile but he likes remaining in his earth spirit form, with horns, best of all.

Myrretah I always want to see more of D. He's just gorgeous and I've been inspired by him since the first time I saw him. It is funny how the same sculpt can be so different! D seems very somber, yet firey inside. Silas is flamboyant and ready to try anything. ALL THE SPAMS!

Tipsyfox and SteamWitch, "your wish is our command" lol. Angel belongs to me, and Dallieh belongs to Myrretah, but the two of them are never apart, not since I first moved up to New England. Even the first time we all met in person, D knew who was in the brown leather RS bag, and refused to be moved away from it.


They belong to one another, really. We're just the human keepers. It's kinda heart-wrenching to pull them apart, like when I needed to use Angel as a clothing model for a sewing commission... Dallieh just would NOT behave at all. Wouldn't hold a pose (when he's strung and sueded to the aces, and creaks if you move him, as Myrretah has mentioned before) and any time I walked by him, I just had this urge to HUG him. But there would be no hugs, because he just wanted his Angel. They sit on one of our dressers now, always entwined with each other.

 

Beautiful photo, they are just wonderful. Just love the looks on their faces.

 

Great news!! DDE said that she has arrived and they have sent her.. tracking said she would be here by the 9th.
So I need to ask if anyone can please tell me the distance between the bent knee and ground of the 58cm-60cm dolls?

I am wanting to make a seat for her. I made a dress that I am sure won't fit but should be able to cover her until I can make or buy her something that will fit.

D: I'm leaning a bit towards Apollo because I don't have much experience with fantasy aesthetic, but Weylin's smile is so adorable and he'd probably be in modern clothes anyway... so I guess I really am in the middle at this point. Congrats on his arrival, SteamWitch, I'm sorry he is damaged though! D: Luckily, ResinSoul has great customer service. If you bought him new from them, they will probably replace the part for free, and if you bought him from the Marketplace, they sell each part individually, so you can buy new lower leg pieces.

On a less happy note, I just found out my favorite grandmother passed away a few weeks ago, and nobody even told me until today, when my mother also informed me that my great uncle passed away over the weekend, and wasn't found until a day later. I was very close with my grandma when I was little, and I will miss her dearly. If there was anyone in my family that would appreciate the hobby, it would have been her. She collected Barbies for years. Can I request some odd spam? Maybe if anyone has some of the Christmas or Collectors Edition Barbies, take some pictures of your Resin guys with them? She tried buying me the collector Barbies, but my mom would yell at me for taking them out of the boxes, so my grandmother bought me one of the pretty ones from an Avon catalog just so I could play with her.

Hi everyone! I recently acquired a RS Long second hand from the wonderful [MENTION=65186]Loptr[/MENTION] and got to work turning him into my very own Drule Prince Lotor (1980's Voltron version). His wig hasn't arrived yet, but I just couldn't hold out in showing him off. I'm fairly happy with the faceup, though critique is always welcome. I think I'm.... not so sure about his brows? They're okay but, I dunno, perhaps they could be better?

He was originally that lovely RS blue, but due to some staining (which was graciously mentioned pre-purchase, so I WAS aware of that when I got him) I ended up giving him a full spray of Liquitex Acrylic Spray paint in cobalt. For those interested or curious about using it- it's awesome. The one caveat is that around the joint areas need to be sealed VERY thoroughly, VERY, VERY thoroughly. For non-rub areas such as head and body, it's touch as nails. For those joints though, it needs a few extra layers and a little babying. All in all though, I'm super happy. The finish is smooth, matte, and durable.

Wow, I just keep rambling on and on, don't I? Heheh... a couple pics! Can't wait to get his proper wig. =)

RedYume- I love your long.. there is something very pleasant about his sculpt. I have never seen one that looks harsh nor angry. The color is very nice!

Yes subtractive. I actually took a good bit off but its hard to tell since I forgot to actually take a profile before shot. Its very different in person though. My fiance (who knows zero about bjds) noticed the difference before I mentioned it lol Like I said, her nose is still long but now its less distracting.

 

I like Wren a lot, probably because you subtracted so much from the nose - that's what usually throws me off about her I think

I just had to take some pictures of my lilac Dai.. she is pretty.. What do you think of the eyes??? I did like the blue ones that resinsoul sent with her but they are too big. Anyone have ideas??

 

I really like those eyes for her. The color is lovely with her skin. If I were you, I'd set her eyes where the pupil is touching the top eyelid, but that's personal taste. I'm not sure what you're looking for as to ideas... color suggestions or sizes or...?

Well I'd say whatever size the green eyes are is perfect. I really do like the green for her, but I think a very light brown pair would compliment her coloring amazingly well. Purples and browns really really contrast each other beautifully.

 

I was looking for a brown pair but I don't have any at the moment... I love brown eyes in general. The only problem I have with brown doll eyes is that when photographed they can look like they are all one color.. I like the iris definition to be seen.... wow... that is difficult to put to words. I tend to love eyeco eyes.

 

I like these from Captured in Glass. They're a nice soft brown to go with her soft look. In the doll they have them in as an example, they seem to photograph quite well and have a nice deep look to them.

Yep, those are vein details on the top of his hands, Alchemist. His hands are really nicely detailed. When he first came in I was like, "Oh wow... they look so real!"

OMG I just ordered a resinsoul long in grey skin
I've already have his outfit,long grey/blue pants a dark blue shirt 1 pair of white and black striped socks and 1 pair of blue/greenish checkered shoes.
His wig is already on the way,a long straight white wig.
And I've his eyes as well,1 blue and 1 green.
Man this is like the first time ever that I'm fully prepared on a bjd.
