Wow! That’s an insane amount of variation in the baked tone!

 

I'm thinking about maybe purchasing a tiny fairy boy, and I'm trying to really figure out the differences between neo gentle, dandy, and the regular boy body. Also, what's the difference between neo and classic other than the double jointed legs? Thanks in advance!

special release Marine Scout Remmy was the first baked production round
special release Marine Scout Didi was the second baked production round
and then they came out with the Suntan production round with Jimmy
and then it was a baked production round with Noma

there were other sizes available at each of these but I don't remember much except the Marine Scout Kyle and May, my Kyle is from the second round and my Louis is from the Suntan round

I hope this makes sense irl not just in my head lol

 

the differences between the neo and classic besides the double joints are the mobility joints in the legs (and arms, although there was a very brief time when there was no arm slit). the sculpting itself is very similar, but there are some very subtle changes i think. the neos are just a little bit less soft in their sculpting.

in both lines, the dandy is slightly taller than the boy and has a broader chest, and the gentle body is taller than the dandy.
i only have the gentle and both versions of the neo dandy (one with arm slit and one without), but i've got one doll with the boy body on order and i'm quite interested to see it in person. ^^

I really like Charlotte! I'm not sold on the new heads, Mari (a previous release) and Emma... They feel more like Daydream sculpts than Bluefairy sculpts. Still, as much as I love the fullset, I'm a little sad! I just bought a tan Robin boy, so I'm not sure if I can also pick up Charlotte XD

 

I'd really like to see more shots of their faces, and a comparison of Charlotte and May and Robin all together!

Oh I forgot to post in my hasty mobile post that this All Of The Summer limited set will be sold starting June 18 until June 20, so if you're interested, don't wait!

Those two looked really cute!! Ugh why do they announce things so close to the release I feel like they don't give us any time to get funds together! @bronzephoenix I feel the same about the Daydream feel, hmm. Not that I don't like daydreams, I'm p interested in getting one when they open back up.

There are new pics of the baked limited girls' faces on BF's Insta, and I love Charlotte so much x_x I literally just bought a Robin... How can I swing this? Hm...

 

@twisted_ivy yeah that's weird that Charlotte has teeth now. I wonder why they didn't just give the teeth!Charlotte a new name?

You know, Emma is really growing on me!!! Noooooo lol I've always liked Denis' pout, but I don't need another Sad Girl in my TF crew. And like you, @bronzephoenix, I jumped on the Baked train really fast and just ordered a doll. :/ What to do!


Edit: I really hope we see Mari, Colin, and Emma show up in the available lineup for Limited Choice Events, like Isabel, Berry, Rachel, and the others did! I really can't pick up another doll right now, so I hope this isn't my only chance!!

I thought she looked like a less... intense version of Grace from Day Dream? Like, Grace but Blue Fairy style!

And Charlotte with teeth is so close to looking like May... maybe they're running out of face styles?

 

I just took photos of my old Jasmine that I’ll share soon, but it reminded me how much I love her and how photogenic she is. I miss the whimsy of Blue Fairy’s Who Stole the Tarts line. Summer carefree gals just dont call to me. I wonder why they never go back to something more whimsical?

 

I wish Blue Fairy would bring back the unassembled option for shipping.... I can string my own doll, and EMS is sooooo expensive these days!

 

I’m getting super antsy about my order...if I remember correctly they’re shipping on the 22nd and I really can’t wait until my new Niky ships ;-;!!

 

I'm the same way! I've got an empty couch in our doll display with a tiny note that says "reserved" on it, and every time I go past it I wonder how long it will be before our Nikky and Jerome ship, and I keep peeking at this thread to see if anyone's arrived. '^' Surely it should be soon, right? I'm actually not going anywhere the next two weekends so it would be great if they got here while I'm home to fuss on them....

Here's the latest pic of my gal I promised! I've been making fantasy type clothes for my fashion scaled mini (think iplehouse fid, raccoondoll, etc.) and decided to try one of the more adjustable outfits on her. She looks pretty good Of couse, she looks good in anything thou

 

Wow, those strong eyebrows make such a difference-- other Jasmines look demure, but Tiffany is definitely capable of kicking butt. Love it!

And the July pre-order period is open, including Baked options! Hooray!

 

Thanks @Peppermintsheep ! I don’t know why I always envisioned her with strong eyebrows, she looks good with a softer look too...come to think of it, I think strong eyebrows might just be my “thing”- I put them on a few other faces that are usually more subtle too

 

Oh hey, I just got a shipping notice for the March order of the discontinued Niky/Tommy/Jerome sculpts! Is honestly the longest I've ever waited for dolls lol

 

Ah! My order from March has changed to "on shipping" as well, with a tracking number! It hasn't actually gotten in the mail yet, but finally. ^^; I think we waited longer for our DoD Shall, but three full months almost beats that. -_-

 

So they said July 18th they'd expect to ship out the May orders, i'm hoping that remains the case.

I HATE the wait times for bjds, seriously it is the big thing I can't stand about the hobby. 6 weeks I can tolerate, 3 or 4 months or more? Noooope.

Husband's been waiting since January for a souldoll order, i'd have been climbing the walls by this point. I just can't do it. Anything over 2 months wait makes me seriously pause and question the purchase. I think I just need more secondhand dollies hahah.

I paid for customs for mine today and my new Niky will be arriving tomorrow >w<!!! I’m really excite, I’ve not really got anything for her but I’ve not had a new doll in 3 years so many excite!’

 

oh boy, how exciting!! i wonder how far along my order is if they've shipped mine then...!
i'm not sure, since i did ask them to hold off on shipping mine until the sixth, since i was on vacation in canada and wasn't sure how soon i would be back o_o;

 

Our order had actually shipped last Friday! So they arrived on Tuesday to our great surprise (and no small amount of consternation when the tracking indicated they had been "left with an individual" when there was no one home and our neighbors are not trustworthy. I rushed home on my lunch break to find the box had been left at our door without being properly signed for at all).

But they are both here, safe and sound! None of their trousseau has arrived yet so they're just wearing whatever could be found in the spare wardrobe / eye / wig department. They're part of our 1/4 cosplay team, joining our AR Ren and Cien in FFXV getup, and while we think Jerome likes the name Ilja, Niky hasn't picked one yet. (It can't stay Niky either, because I have like three Nicholas variants already!)

I'm not sure what to make of that tall body Niky is on! It looks beautiful but he's all leg! How do I find pants to fit him? ^^;

Phew! What a long three months that was!

(I love the stop motion, btw. I was anticipating the scissor snip motion and it was so satisfying when it happened LOL TY)

my order came in and!!!! it's wonderful they're all so beautiful and i couldn't be happier! i still need to style them a little more before i post anything serious, but..... is the neo gentle body taller than the classic gentle??! i think it is! my tommy, taiyou, on the neo gentle, next to fiat, my sarang, on the classic gentle!

What are silicone discs?

 

Silicon discs (sometimes called "kips") are small, round bits of silicon that you put in joints to help dolls pose. Similar to hot-glue sueding, but less mess. Really effective for single-jointed dolls like the older Bluefairy bodies. You can put them in when restringing a doll. I tend to put kips at the neck and shoulders, sometimes at the hip joints.

Oh hey, did everyone see the notices that Blue Fairy's prices will be increasing in November? And also that the TF Girl, TF Beauty, and TF Boy bodies are going to be available only through limited events?

And I'm truly appreciative that Blue Fairy gives us these notices!

My two lovely girl.The left one is Autumn Walk Rachel(so she is yellowed). I fell in love with her when I saw her on Bluefairy's website. I decided to join the lottery very soon and luckily I was the winner!! The right one I ordered through TF limited choice last year,I added the makeup but to be honest I don't like the Atelier Oz style at that time...so I changed her look.

 

Yikes, I sung BF's praises too soon... they've stopped accepting Paypal as a payment option, and their new option Paygate is through an insecure connection!! Oh no!

@miantuotuo BEAUTIFUL girls!! Their dresses are also gorgeous!!

 

Is this the announcement you're referencing? If I'm reading it correctly, it says that their existing Paygate option currently has an insecure connection, so they encourage you to use Paypal until the issue is fixed.

Is there an announcement somewhere else about Bluefairy's Paypal option being cancelled? Because that announcement recommends using Paypal as an alternative, and doesn't mention ending that option.

 

I ordered on Wednesday, and the only payment options were Paygate and a bank transfer. They posted that message this morning (Friday) about PayPal. I did use Paygate because I felt I should pay promptly, and also because my order wasn't showing up on the website even six hours after I ordered. Kind of wish they'd worked out the wrinkles before their one week of orders being open, but it is what it is.

ETA: the only two payment options offered on the site are Paygate and the bank transfer. They're only offering PayPal right now because they've been getting message board messages and emails about the insecure connection.

 

Okay, so when you check out, select "bank deposit." You will then be offered a selection of banks. Paypal is the second choice. Then you just send your payment to [email protected] with your order number This is how it's been for a while, so I wouldn't worry about any changes (unless BF announces a change).

 

Hoooo, this would have saved me a bit of panic lmao.

 

Adopted a Xiao off the marketplace recently. Cleaned her up, sanded her seams, and restrung her today. Her name is Sylvia. Face-up by @navci , commissioned by the former owner but I love it! The eyes are Enchanted Doll Urethane, Milky #21 with #25 rim, 16 mm. I might go with another larger set of eyes later.

Yes, Sarang wears a 7-8 size wig. Congrats on getting one--she'll be worth the wait! Here's my Sarang, Violet.

 

Ohhh wow she looks amazing. I fell in love as soon as I saw her, she looks wonderful with the violet eyes and I love her dress/top.
I'm in love with this doll and also Delia by Myou, the waiting is so hard. may I ask what skin tone is your Violet? I have ordered normal skin and worry how yellow she might be. Was over excited newbie DOH.
