More vampire-skin Valentine spam! My Heron (Valentine) has Medusa's original face-up. It was tricky, finding a wig to balance his look, but I'm really happy with this blonde one -- even though I originally bought it with the girls in mind, heh.

Hey all~! Just bought a BBD Waltz second-hand, and I must say, he's super gorgeous! I had originally settled on a Salem, because Waltz was sold out/discontinued in fleshtone, but then someone from my local group put her Waltz up for sale. Of course, I snatched him up, lol. He's got an ever so slight smirk to his sculpt, and he's heavenly for face-upping; I love his brow ridges so much

I'm still working on modding (non-permanent piercings, tattoos and such), and he actually goes really well with a punk rocker/hipster type of look. I shall post pictures as soon as I can wrangle them from the camera, haha.

My first doll I bought was a Gen-X Salem from a company called Blue Blood Doll.
He stands at the height of 62cm and was made very well in my opinion.
I'm just curious if anyone here has a doll from Blue Blood Doll.
The only person I've ever seen to have one from this company was on Instagram.
I'm not sure if the company is popular since they don't have many for sell at the moment.

 

My very first doll was a BlueBlood Doll V. Draven. And my second doll was a Silver. They have both since been rehomed, but I will always love the company. ;v; There's a discussion thread here~

Man I've been trying to comb through this long thread, oh so long. I just recently got my own second hand Waltz as my first doll. But I'm running into some problems. I bought some boots for him, but they're waayyy too big. And I bought a wig, which ALSO seems too big. I thought I understood translating the measurements right. What size of shoes and wigs SHOULD I get? I feel like I'm failing him horribly since I got him. I'll I've done successfully is make him some necklaces.

My wig Terry size 8-9, shoes and walked all 1 \ 3 dolls (available with AliceCollection, MimiWoo, Tata BJD)
If the wig slightly bolshevat bought a silicone cap under it, and so I think the wig sits well, but for reliability cap.
And you took away with? It seemed to me that the company stopped producing the dolls. There are only 100 in the world. My in November will have 5 years

 

The Blue Blood website has clothes, shoes and wigs that fit the guys. If you're not sure just email the owner and she'll tell you how well an item there will fit the guys.

I think the body will not only pick up as the material from which the Medusa makes dolls - french resin. To be honest, I can think of only one company that makes the same material - Angel Studio. And here is how the matter will consist of a comparison of the color I can not answer. To be honest I have never been interested in it.

I just saw this thread and I've had my BlueBlood doll Nile for more than half a year. I still haven't gotten the right wig, eyes and outfit for him yet. I mainly enjoy him with the full set he came with.

I have a blue blood Phny! Her name is Amaranth. I've had her for almost 5 years. She was my very first bjd and my grail. I loves her so much.

 

BunnyChan...all I can say is WOW the photo above with the white wig is just spectacular!!! I have just purchased Draven (Impldoll) and I can't wait to see him, hoping he will be half as nice as yours! how can one NOT love these bjd's they all have their own personality and spunk. Gonna post in this thread I guess. I bought an outfit from Blueblooddoll2008 on eBay, and with their 100% rating I thought I was in good hands. What I got was absolute garbage for what I paid.

This is what I purchased: 1/4 bjd dollfie dream doll MSD/MDD outfits white kitty cosplay Set ship US
Though it looks like they lowered the price now to $45???

I also had my doubts because the original watermark in the pictures is blurred out, so I know it's not their original design...

I paid $62 for the white kitty cosplay outfit (the keyhole bra and panties set), and it's got uneven, shoddy seams, holes in the fabric, broken/stray threads, and worst of all, the straps are sewn onto the wrong side of the top.
I'd expect this quality from a $10 outfit, not a $50+ one...

I'm absolutely livid about the situation... I sent them an email, and I hope they respond.

 

I'm sure Medusa will make good on it. I've never had a problem with anything I've purchased from her so I'm really surprised by the condition of the kitty outfit.

Thiel is a BBD/Gen X Doll Salem. Yes, the photo was taken with a flash...with the lighting (or lack thereof) in my house, the flash is the only way you can see the colour of his eyes It makes him look a lot paler than he actually is, though.

 

I love Medusa, she is awesome. Blue Blood Doll ROCKS!!! I have all but Silver and Draven and it seems there are just none to be found.

I love my blue blood jet doll! She’s my favorite doll. Thanks to @lesslovingangel i was able to buy my first doll through an online seller.

 

I will soon have 3 Gen X girls, or at least 2 are mine and one is granddaughter's. Soon as she is here and dressed will take photos of all 3.

 

My triplets are all here now. Wigs and eyes still need to be found that will help show how alike they are as well as allowing them wigs for their own styles.

I was just wondering, is Blue Blood dolls still around?

I used to love buying clothes from Medusa.

 

I write Medusa on a semi regular basis. Not to get to much into her personal life, it is from my writing her the chance of her shop reopening is pretty much not happening. Between Covid and her family back in Hong Kong it is not been a good couple of years for her. I have reached out to her offering to buy whatever in house items she still has but I have not heard back. Don't know when I will.

 

That's disappointing. She made lovely dolls that pose well. It's always sad to see a company close.

 

She hasn't made the dolls in years. Jie Doll she worked with for a while, but I think they are also out of business. She's just been selling clothes and shoes before Covid.

 

Yes, I have a Valentine from waaay back in the day and I have a Jei Doll Ashford (who are, ironically, partners). Two more dolls of mine to add to the discontinued/company closed list *sigh* I always kinda wanted a Nile but at the time I didn't have the money for him when he was available.

 

I have a Jie Doll MSD and a Jie Doll SD both girls that Medusa sculpted the heads of. Actually they both belong to granddaughter but she is seldom here and I think she prefers her 3 other dolls.

 

Here are the SD, MSD and the Smart Doll in the doll room. The MSD one is thin and small like a MNF.

If you write her again, please let her know that she still has some very devoted fans. My first doll was a Waltz, my favorite a Jiedoll Vanilla, and I just reacquired a Waltz and a GenX Megan. I've been painstakingly trying to clean them up without messing up their body blushing or faceups because I love love LOVE her work so much, and as of now I know there's no way to commission her to redo them if they get messed up. She was always so kind, I hope she's doing better and life starts to get easier for her.

 

I will let her know she has fans out there.

 

There is a Silver Blue Blood Doll on ebay. This is not my auction or anyone I know's auction. It has a lot of extras all from Blue Blood Doll. Sadly the face up is not there. The seller wants a hefty amount, but will look at offers I guess. I always do a search on ebay for Blue Blood, but normally just get sent to look at DVD sets.

Oh and I wrote Michelle aka Medusa and her husband informed me she is back in Hong Kong taking care of family.

 

Thank you for the update on Medusa/Michelle. I have long wondered what became of her. Blue Blood was such a unique company.

 

I had one of the few Kimono Waltz sets years ago, sold it and have regretted it ever since, so was thrilled to find someone offering a Kimono Waltz fullset on eBay last week. I was bound and determined to get him and I did! Beyond delighted to have this lovely guy headed back to me
