I love Molly and Hyacinth. I'm surprised that there isn't more interest there but you never know. I'm thinking of getting a Hyacinth......but I love the pouty, sulky look of both of them...

 

I really like the look of this doll body. Wondering if Dollstown 13yr head would work with it? Mikki, Alice's collection has Blossom doll for sale on their website, maybe it would be easy to order there.

 

Hey guys, has anyone tried a match with a Fantasy Doll body (NS)? I've fallen in love with the Gine head and am currently looking for possible resin/proportion matches. Thank you in advance!

 

I can't say anything about proportions, because I have only a male body, but the resin match isn't too bad, depending on how picky you are. Blossom Doll is visibly more yellow and a tad darker in my opinion. But in real life the face is often a little darker than the neck as well, so if you don't mind a little difference it could work.

Hi all, First of all thank you for all the information you are giving here. I have ordered a Blossom Dolls body (natural yellow skin) through jeeryama and I am wondering if it will match with my Another Secret Riding Hood ? this one has been customised by Mr Sunday and the skin is more white than my Orchid head. Should I have ordered a white skin body ? I do prefer white skin but find myself half-half with the Another Secret heads. Like some of you, I have found lot of similitude between Marina's and Blossom Dolls bodies. I just did not expected to get one one day for a large BJD !

 

I would really like to have a blossom doll, but I would have to wait for it. But their outfits and wigs are awesome.

 

I got Molly's body to day in white skin and it totally matches with Another Secret Red Riding Hood, good color and perfect size, one could think they were made to be together. I will try other Another Secret heads to morrow, as they are all of different colors. I've got Molly's outfit which is stunning, also have the red dragon shoes waiting for the original outfit. I did try those on the body : it does not allow the doll to stand by itself, also very hard to put the feet in it, even some red got off the shoes and stayed on the feet instead. Love the body but really desapointed by the shoes.The body came with make up I did not ask for ...

 

Hi! I'm new here and I was super excited to find a Blossom Doll thread. My Anthurium is still very much a WIP but here he is anyway.

He's on an Akagi Doll body right now. The fit is pretty good but their yellow skin is a lot more yellow than Akagi's NS. You can't really tell from the photo though. I'll probably blush him a bit to get a better match.

 

Wow, Anthurium! Yours might well be the only one on the forum, or am I wrong? I own a Gine myself, but I am so interested in Blossom Dolls' male sculpting. I wonder if they still work on a male body.

BlitheFool, is your hybrid body a 70cm size? Do you think Anthurium needs a big body, or would he look good on a smaller, say 60cm body as well, proportionwise? Anyway, spam ahead, please!^^

 

Hi Mandagore! I'd say he'd look best on a big body. He has an enormous neck hole. Akagi Doll necks are 11.5cm and there's still a bit of a gap with Anthurium. I can take a photo of his whole body tonight. It's a little tough to tell based on that little head shot.

The sculpt really is lovely. Those pouty lips!

 

So, here's a picture of Anthurium on a 70cm Akagi Doll body. Sorry for the crappy quality of the photo. I can snap a picture of the neck gap tonight if anyone wants to see it. It's not bad, in my opinion. But he does have one.


He's sitting next to my Doll Chateau Pierre.

I just recently discovered the Olanda sculpt and I think I'm going to have to add this girl to my future dolls list. However I think I'd like to find a different body. ^^; Does anyone know if the white or normal skin will match the spirit doll white or normal skin resins?

Daniel got new eyes on Thursday. I'm pretty happy with them. They're silicon. Glass ones didn't fit in his eyewells as well.

The standard one He's meant to be a human character, just very lanky and skinny. I really like those eyes in Daniel, they add an extra dimension of realism to his face.

Tsukiyono- here's that resin match for Blossom and Spiritdoll. Blossom is a lot more yellow.


Rockin'- Wow! Chaste makes a great boy. I bet he'll look nice on a DC body.

 

Thanks so much for that resin comparison photo Blithefool, it's really helped out a lot. I guess I need to go scour resin comparison photos on flickr again to try to find a better match, unfortunately blossom doll owners are few and far between. I wonder if maybe the white skin might be easier to match...hmmm.

 

You know, I wonder if the yellow NS Dragon Doll Uncle bodies would work? They're quite yellowy- at least from what I've seen in photos. I do wish you could get resin samples from companies. It would be so darn helpful for hybrids.

 

Oh yes! I would even pay for a small tile of a resin sample just to try to match things. Speaking of resin matching, I am under the impression from the thread that Doll Chateau resin WS resin is a fair match to the Blossom Doll white? If this is the case, I found this resin comparison of Doll Chateau with Dollstown and Spirit Doll white on flickr, they all seem to be a fair match, though Spirit Doll is a tad darker....here's the photo:

Thankyou! I get to order his body this month so I'm really excited. Once he's complete all my dolls will be done in the sense of all physically being here. I can't believe I ordered a girl and ended up welcoming home another boy!

It's such a shame that more of these beautiful sculpts aren't around. Once Chaste's body gets here I should be able to show a white skin comparison between BD and DC, though his head has yellowed a little from the sealant.

I do not suppose anyone has an Angell-Studio 60cm head they could try on a Blossom doll body? I fell in love with this beautiful body, it is EXACTLY what I was looking for in a female body (tiny, natural boobies and pretty, pretty body lines)

Or perhaps a side by side comparison of a Doll Chateau female body and a Blossom body? (I have seen a picture of a AS head on a DC so if I see a DC and a Blossom I might be able to figure it out)

Hey guys! I was smitten by Anthurium and decided to email blossom doll about their tan skin resin match and the body used in the promo pics. She confirmed that the body used is indeed Iplehouse SID body. However she said the color is normal yellow. I think what she meant was IH real skin, because the color match does look similar when you compare his fullshot photo with IH real skin resin shots.
And since IH does not sell the bodies alone, I figured I’d let you guys know that Granado has recently released new tan and brown skin (can’t rmb the exact names) which are compatible with that of IH. You can view the details here: http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/doll-granado/11584382785/

 

That's a great point, azurevsaztec. Granado bodies would probably work quite well proportion wise for a blossom doll. They also have large (11.5) necks. Please share your hybrid with us if you make him!

 

I just placed the order for Chaste's body! Really excited to see him all complete.

 

I just received an update to my email and know I believe that what they mean by tan skin is the tan skin that Molly II is in. Because I checked via alice’s collection as well, and they stated that blossom doll told them that Anthurium will not be made in tan skin o.o This is so confusing. Either the skin used in the promo photos are actually normal yellow and they edited the photos to such an extent that it looks chocolatey tan (which explains why blossom doll answered my question with normal yellow) or they totally don‘t get what I’m asking

 

How annoying! I can tell you that their normal yellow is very yellow. I have an Anthurium as well in that resin colour. Shame about the tan. I love those photos of him in the promo pictures too.

 

I did a photostory with Chaste today whilst I wait for his body.

He's being all brave and patient about it for the time being dollhausen, but I think I'll have a revolt on my hands soon enough! Seraphine's enjoying being bigger than him. I can't wait to see how tall he'll be on his body.

Hi! Do you know if the normal yellow skin would match an Unoa Zero normal skin? I love Blossom body and maybe it could be a nice hybrid. Thanks in advance

 

Are there any resins Unoa is close to? I have a normal yellow head but I don't own a Unoa . I can tell you it's quite yellow, at least compared to all my other dolls.

 

Hi BlitheFool, thanks! I can only tell you the resin match I have at home, because I can't find many infos around. My Unoa Zero head is a perfect match with Elfdoll snow skin (that is not so white but a creamy colour) and it's a very good match with Doll Chateau normal pink. I also have a Pipos normal skin and it's a good match, even if Pipos is pinker. I don't have any other good match.
I read somewhere Unoa is a good match with Volks but I don't know anything about Volks, but I guess there are many resin colours...

 

Gotcha! Well, I have two DC dolls in Normal Pink and I can tell you that Blossom Doll is waaaaaay more yellow than that. It's sort of a strange shade of yellow. Not creamy at all. I don't have any other dolls that come close to matching it.

I just got a Molly head in the mail today and had a very difficult time getting any eyes to fit her properly. I tried to go through all the posts in the thread but I might have missed it if this was addressed. I believe someone said that silicone fit their doll's head better so is that generally the best route for getting eyes for these dolls? I did have some spare silicone eyes lying around so I was able to use those, but even then it left some gapping. The eyewell seems wider and flatter than I am used to dealing with so any eyes with a dome did not work at all for me.

 

Chaste is finally complete! He is on a Doll Chateau adult body.



The body is white and his head is white. It's actually an excellent match, his head has just yellowed a little because it's older.

I was thinking about doing a boy hybrid with Molly and/or Hyacinth myself, although I still want to maintain the 60CM height, so I'm looking into companies with boys who have 9CM neck holes, with similar resin matches to DollZone/Doll Chateau, since they seem to be a lovely match.

On that note, has anyone got a Blossom Doll/Resinsoul/DollZone WS comparisons?

The Doll Chateau and DollZone WS is basically the same, so you can use the first as reference for the skin match. I can't help for Resinsoul though.

I actually have a Molly head in tan as well, but she doesn't match with anything else in my collection ^^. I'll take some pics later.

Edit: as far as I know, the Blossom Dolls heads were at first modeled on DollZone bodies if it can help.

Here you go! The arm on the left in about 1 year old WS Resinsoul, the doll's face is about half a year old Blossom-Doll WS (but the sealent has yellowed a lot), the neck is a couple of month's old Doll Chateau WS and the hand is DZ WS that I got in stock from the dealer so it's yellowed some.

Without yellowing I'd say they're all pretty much the same and you can match with any. ResinSoul is the palest, then Doll Chateau, then BlossomDoll, then Dollzone.

I hate to be a bother if this is aready been addressed but I want a Blossom Doll Body for a Nefera Kane head and I was wondering if the Bllossom doll NS looks anywhere close to the DC NPS (cauz thats her referance resin match) or am I gonna have to blush the head to match the more yellow body?

Imoto- Blossom Doll's NS is super yellow. Here's a picture of mine near my Pink DC Pierre.

Hello all! I'm in love with the Anthurium head that Blossom Doll makes, and I'd like to put it on a RingDoll RGMbody-03 because I am a fan of nothing obscuring the "cut lines" on the male form lol. However, the Anthurium neck is 12 cm and the 03 body is 13 cm neck. I'm extremely new to this hobby, but I'm pretty sure that means there isn't a way to mod or otherwise fit Anthurium on an 03 body and I'd have to use the 01, 02, or 04 if I wanted a RingDoll body for that head. Am I getting this right?
