@cherryghost I don’t think the difference is that bad, personally, especially if the Black Cherry girl is wearing a voluminous wig. Here’s my Black Cherry Dolls Zeri with my Harucasting girls.

I was able to buy a Meihua in Milk Chocolate from their in-stock sale. I put her on layaway, though, so she won’t be coming home until I can pay her off at the beginning of September.

I personally feel like Zeri "feels" a little smaller than the others, but like @dxgirly said, probably fits just fine visually with the right wig.

@cherryghost You bet! Now I just realized you had asked for Eirlys - which I also have and just got myself confused when I was looking at the other photo above. In any case - Eirlys is the same body and head size as you see here.

 

I'm also interested in Zeri, so either way is perfect!

 

I bought a milk chocolate Meihua from the in-stock sale they recently had. She came in yesterday after just 5 days shipping time. And then I did her faceup today, and named her Daphne.

My Bukkumi is impossible to dress. Nothing I gave fits her. I bought her a Blythe outfit (dress) on Etsy. Fingers crossed it fits

 

My Bukkumi wears some Blythe clothing, found some really nice knitwear on etsy.

 

Oh good. I was really hoping she would. Im eager to get the dress set I ordered from Etsy. I think it’s shipping from the Ukraine, so might take awhile.

 

I was wondering where to get a mohair wig for my Bukkumi? Her head is so tiny and I don’t want to spend a fortune on wigs that don’t fit properly. TIA

I have been wondering the best place to get such tiny wigs that are good quality. I’m thinking Etsy, but was hoping someone else would know for sure.

 

Hi everyone! I recently put an order in for a dark tan Zeri, so excited for her!

I was wondering if anyone had ideas for what size eyes/wigs to look for with the MSDs? I have a feeling I'm gonna end up making her wig myself, but I wanted to at least get eyes settled.

 

I have mine in a 12mm pair, but I think 10mm works best for her, honestly.

 

Seconding the eye size question. Does anyone have comparison photos between 12mm and 10mm, or vs large iris and small iris in their dolls? I am absolutely awful at visualizing this sort of thing lol

 

They posted a size comparison on their Instagram story a while back! They don't use the same dolls, but I found it to be a handy comparison between the 12mm and 10mm for the MSDs.

 

Love this thread of BC cuties. I can see theres not much of a consensus as to where clothes can be found for the Cookies. If any of you have an outfit you just love for your cookie, can you let me know where you found it?

Hi everyone. I will have a black cherry meihua of my own joining my crew (hopefully by the end of this week). I noticed that Black Cherry Dolls are not listed in the database, so I hope the Meihua database I created today will be approved. I'll be sure to share photos of my new little one when she arrives.

 

My new addition Zaire arrived last week. Shes so precious and I love her posing, hands and little feet. I will be sending her for a new face up in the fall. To get a palette better suited for her new identity.

Has anyone wired/sueded their BlackCherry MSD dolls? I need to restring my girl as she's very flopping and was thinking of sueding and wiring her arms and legs.

Anyone get in on the preorder last year? My Zeri and Meihua got shipped yesterday. c: It was a pretty big splurge of money at the time, but man, I’m soooo excited to get my girls home! Not sure what I’m going to do with them since I had no official plans to even get them last year since the preorder opening was kind of a surprise hahaha.

 

I need help!

I want to order eyes for my Meihua and Eirlys but they're off getting face-ups and I... don't know the size eye they need! (my Meihua just always wore the one she came in, and my Eirly's didn't stick around long enough after getting here for me to put any in!)

The website lists 8-12mm.
Does anyone know what size is best and also have some pictures of examples? Much thanks and appreciation if you do.

 

@twylight I use 10mm for my two; they're Zeri and Agave rather than Meihua and Eirlys but I think the eye sizes are pretty consistent. I remember they did a size comparison in their Instagram stories forever ago (it's unfortunately lost by now, argh), and the 12mms were very big and doe-eyed.

It looks like you can still preorder hands/feet parts on the site (and there's a caramel set in stock).

I'm pretty hype to get them customized. Meihua is gonna be one of my MHA characters, Chrysanthi Harada. I'm waiting on some purple alpaca from Zerga Studio and I'll likely have her painted with a natural/minimal make up look with maybe a lip scar. I don't (yet) have a character for the Zeri, but I'm definitely thinking of using Khadija Mbowe on YouTube as inspo for her faceup. Got some raspberry/pink wool roving on its way to me too to make her a dreadlock wig. c: Might have a graphic liner look done for her eye makeup, just gotta figure out what style and color I'd want.

 

@Singull was it very hard to order from Russia? My doll is also 4 years old (got her second hand) so I'm not sure the resin would match.. but I guess it's worth a try..

 

@twylight I'll be honest, it was a huge pain in the butt and I'm definitely not going to be purchasing from anyone in Russia that doesn't have someone reliable outside of the country that can handle overseas transactions for them.

In my case, it was a pain because I was making such a big purchase and Hipolink (it's basically like Ko-Fi and Linktree combined from what I understand) only allows for so much per transaction, so my purchase was divided into multiple payments. First payment went through (after a call to my bank), but after that my bank completely blocked me from making more payments since it was being flagged as fraudulent. Boosty was their back-up plan, but I'd already had to call my bank three times at this point and pretty much put my foot down after reading up on the fact that Boosty no longer could accept Paypal payments (not sure if that's still true), but was also having issues accepting payments from American banks. Wound up telling the artist that I either needed a Paypal address to send the rest of what I owed, or that I'd need to cancel my order. I did end up receiving a PP addy of a friend of theirs (I believe), and that's how I paid for the rest of my order.

Safe to say, incredibly risky, would not suggest lmao. However, since you'd just be ordering hands/feet, you probably won't suffer as much strife as I did with Hipolink and/or Boosty. It'd definitely be worth reaching out and asking them about it. That or try to find someone that can play middleman for you. I don't know if things have changed or not since the cheeto and muskrat took over.

Now to keep waiting for Zerga Studio to get my fiber made and shipped to me so I can work on my Meihua's wig. xD;

@swallow483 Thank you! It was my first time making a wig like this and I’m happy it didn’t turn out too bad. I got plenty of wool roving left over to so I may try again in the future. Just gotta make more wig caps first haha.

 

My girl, Marika, returned home from KomorebiDolls a while back, but I've only finally taken a proper photo of her lmao.
