two irritations: attempted to order an in-stock grail from them on layaway. did not receive a response until a week later when two of the three had sold and the last one entered a queue and was claimed. not their fault as the writer stated they had been in hospital, but it seems inefficient to have all inquiries reliant on one person. more importantly: ordered an in-stock doll ( DC Violet) and another doll head on june 6th. both are marked as shipped on the 20th. doll head reached me a week ago; doll is still marked as not picked up on tracking. responses from bjdivas blamed ups allegedly having issues with scanning parcels in, which does not make sense as they were shipped on the same day. i suspect that they are still looking for the doll in storage. has any one else been dealing with this? furthermore, i enquired as to whether Doll Chateau Gladys was orderable or if their listing was mistakenly still up. i was told that she was, and foolishly made the order, but that was not clever given that she is not listed on the Doll Chateau website. does any one have more information on this?
Doll Chateau Gladys was discontinued last year. It's possible that BJDivas has a doll in-stock. Some dealers have agreements with doll-makers and might be able to get you things that are technically off the catalog or sold out, so I wouldn't say it's impossible or suspicious. Be mindful that Doll Chateau has biblical wait times (check the wait room).
initially i assumed that they might have such an agreement, but given the drama of the in-stock doll i ordered, i am now more skeptical.
BJDivas has pretty slow shipping times and is known for having pretty slow communications. In my experience with their shipping, it seems they create/ print the label at least a week before actually having them picked up or taking them to the post office. I have had packages (not from BJDivas) that have been skipped in scanning or stalled at various stages recently, including one that was stuck at an office a couple of hours away from us for about a week. The shipping offices may still be dealing with the issues from tarriffs slowing down all their processes, even for domestic shipping.
@carterhaugh - While their customer service feedback thread has many positive reviews, there are some serious neutral and negative reviews as well mostly due to the long waits and non-deliveries. Make sure you read over all of that feedback before making any further decisions~
That sounds very similar to my in-stock purchase attempt a few years ago, it takes them a very long time to get to checking the items before sending them out. Couriers don't pick up from them super often so I assume they sometimes need to wait to batch things together for UPS, but nevertheless that is not where most of the delay comes from. They do get to it eventually, and refund for a problem in my case was very prompt, but it can be a month's wait for in-stock dolls and items which can definitely be frustrating.
