Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? I mentioned above. but i'm in a wheelchair and have been for quite some time. so i have no local friends and find it hard to make it to the one meet i know of in my area. Ally my friends at the moment are long distance friends so i love the idea of making more or even one locally would be amazing. I have no friends that share the hobby and still kinda new to it all.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? I have a few dolls so they're all my favourites for their own reason but at the moment I love and am really looking forward to my AE silver dew. Her name will be harley and she'll be slightly based of my love for Harley quinn as well as a few things of myself. her back story is long so i wont bore you with the details. But i love my ideas for her. a lot of her outfits will be inspired by joker/harley or cards with still having a cute girly style (ie hoodies with short shorts and long pony tails)

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? This answer is likely to change depending on my mood because my favorites do have a tendency to shift around from time to time. But my current favorite doll is Izzy my tan moe-line Minifee Shushu. She's just so adorably cute.

Izzy is my pastel princess monster hunter. She loves all things cute and is very fond of pastels. She has a happy bubbly personality. People tend to judge her harshly on how cutesy she seems to be. She is far from the traditional monster hunter. She does take her job seriously though and is good at it. She just likes to surround herself with happy cute things because she lives in such a dark world.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? For companies not really. I like far too many dolls from far too many companies. I do favor MSD sized dolls though and they make up the bulk of my collection. But I'm not going to rule out the possibility of having an SD sized doll or two in the future.

What's your current BJD goal? I have a lot of BJD goals. I want to learn to sew so I can make clothes for my dolls. It's sometimes hard finding certain pieces of clothing in the right style for my dolls. I'm hoping that by learning to sew I'll be able to make some of the things I'm having a hard time finding. I also want to improve my photography and get better at actually sharing the photos that I do take. I would also like to improve my face-up skills. I think it would be neat to learn how to make wigs, props and such for my dolls as well.

Any additional info about your BJD(s) you want to share: Most of my dolls tend to be characters in stories that I've had for a while or characters from various RPs that I've played. So they fall under dolls with complicated back-stories, personalities and such. XD Though I do get the occasional doll just because it's pretty and/or cute. I'm not sure what Nina will be like, I have no set character for her!

Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? I don't talk to many people, period. I don't talk to other people outside of my family in real life, and I don't talk to very many people online. It appears difficult for me to find a long-lasting friend, and I guess that's what I'm looking for. I'm an easy going person, and I'm honestly one of the least judgemental people out there.

My favorite doll? That's a tough one. I really do love all of my dolls, but I have two favorites for two different reasons. My favorite doll in general is Yumi, my Dollpamm Momo.


However, my favorite doll that embodies a character is Dahlia, my Souldoll Liddell. She's a serial killer.

I have a (somewhat yellowed but still beautiful) white-skin ResinSoul Long named Tandrelim whom I absolutely adore. Tandrelim is a very sweet, meek sort of guy with a backstory I'm not particularly proud of but can't seem to change. Once the story had formed there was nothing I could do about it.

My favorite doll of mine, is my DDoll Little Elva Airi - Walker. I love her face, I love her body, I love her story! She is basically everything I wish I was, though we do share many characteristics She is an artlover, a great thinker, a student of life. A quiet, observing, mysterious girl who everyone is drawn to. She collect trinkets and see beauty in the most mandane objects.

I prefer MSD size dolls, but I love all sorts of different dolls. But I do only collect msd dolls myself. I don't have a favorite company per se. I do LOVE DC dolls, SoulDoll and Fairyland sculpts, but I love all kinds of dolls. I'm very drawn to querky, a little weird looking dolls

I am learning to sew more and more, but my next big project is faceups! I am pretty artistic and faceups is something I would love to do and maybe do for others. I just need to learn more about what and where to get stuff (in Sweden) and then get cracking!

Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? I've never had a friend that is into BJD's so it would be really nice. I find it really difficult to go to doll meets because there aren't many in my area and I'm not a very social person anyway. So having someone to talk to online would be great.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? I wouldn't say I have a "favorite" doll becuase I love them all equally but my most recent (complete) doll is my Doll Chateau Colin, Vladimir. His character isn't as developed as some of my others are but he's most definitely my most photogenic dolly. As for character, I'd say my floating head, Sayne is my current obsession. I literally can't stop drawing this guy. He's a Doll Family-H 70cm practice head that I originally bought to practice mods on but once I saw him I couldn't resist giving him a complex backstory and personality. He'll be getting a body soon.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? Not really. With the exception of Sayne, all of my dolls are MSD's but I really want a few SD's also. I'm like...obsessed with Migidoll even though I don't have any dolls from them yet.

Any "important" information that people should know: Not the most important but I'm scatterbrained and occasionally take awhile to reply (Uni gets in the way etc.). I'm not religious and I don't specifically care whether you are or not, as long as you're nice and respect me like I'll respect you. I have dealt with my share of RL stuff and so until and unless I know you better I'm just fine with keeping things light and related to BJD, fandoms of various natures, TV shows etc. Nothing too heavy though if we click and get along and become friends, it's a different story but to start out with, I'd prefer keeping things light, and of course this also applies to me.

Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? Someone to chatter with about character concepts, character styles, new sculpts, shopping (BJD and other stuff), the weather (I'm only joking ) and probably other non-BJD related stuff as well though we might start out just talking about BJDs. While there are BJD owners here in Norway and in my city, I'm kinda terrible about meeting people face to face and so I figure a nice and easy way to start is to do it by PM/Email etc. and I might slowly end up going to one of those meet ups one of these days :P

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? That'd be a little bit of a tie. My favourite is a) my first BJD, a Soulkid Yewon named Azure and b) the first BJD I bought after my 7 year hiatus from the hobby, my Withdoll Ruby, Hannah. I don't currently have a picture of Azure and as she's hanging out at my dad's place these days I can't grab a picture of them both. I do however have a picture of Hannah, currently with her default face-up until I get around to getting her a new one;



Hannah is, like I said, a Withdoll Ruby who arrived at the beginning of this year. She's somewhere between 17-20 years old (we're still working on nailing down the exact age, but probably closer to 17-18) and has an older brother thanks to the new Luts Model Delf sculpts. She's a flute player (though I need to get her a flute someday soon) who currently lives with me and an Aquariusdoll Chloe named Henrietta who's a little bit older than her. She's somewhat quiet and reserved, but not shyly so and the better she knows someone the more talkative she is. The backstory is quite simply that Hannah and Henrietta live here in a kind of dorm-situation while going to school and/or working.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I only have MSDs (specifically slim MSDs) at the moment and I don't see myself getting anything much bigger than a Souldoll Vito (50cm) despite the fact that I do adore larger dolls (mainly because I already have stuff for MSDs in various styles and don't want to start over for an SD+ sized doll) though I might get myself a YoSD sized one at some point as I do find them adorable. I'm currently loving Withdoll but also Aquariusdoll and Souldoll holds a special place in my heart as well. Random fact: I really regret not getting the Limited Yul from Luts when I could and am kicking myself for that one still.

What's your current BJD goal? At some point (likely after I move (which I hope to do relatively soon but RL gets in the way)) I'd like to get my mother's sewing machine from my dad's and start to sew some. In the meantime though I've just gotten a new camera, a Nikon, and want to practice taking more and better pictures as well as trying to nail down a plan for sculpts to get (I do have a wishlist, but it's not in order :P). Right now I really need to get Henrietta's sister, who's sculpt is AQ Mia though I'm also hearing the siren call of their older brother as well as Hannah's brother so yeah, we'll see XD

I won't outright reject anyone because they only own 70cm BJDs or anything, our interests in sculpts will probably be different, but I'll gladly talk with you none the less. Just know that because I am very MSD centred I'm not the best with the larger sized dolls as I tend not to look at them too much (I love my MSDs but that doesn't mean I don't get tempted . Same goes if you only have Tinies too by the way.

Any additional info about your BJD(s) you want to share: I can be (at least once I get past my awkward phase when first talking to someone) quite tongue-in-cheek, somewhat hyper and scatterbrained and seemingly all over the place. My mind also frequents the gutter on occasion (I don't get crude necessarily, but while I don't necessarily venture into M-rated territory I do belong in the PG-13 zone more so than the G-rated zone ). I can also be a chatterbox if I get started, but I do try to limit myself, but occasionally I do get excited which tends to lead to babbling and rambling :P

Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? I suppose that I'm feeling alone in the Hobby. I've always felt a little on the outskirts, but I'm not really sure why that is. I don't have any friends, most especially local friends who are into these little resin nightmares- and I'd love to have some likeminded, literate people to chat with. I may seem like an aloof loner.. but really I think I'm just shy.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? As dorky as it is, my first doll is still my favorite. I only have two at the moment, with a huge Doll Chateau guy on his way to me pretty soon. My lanky, gangly 72cm DZ chen is the infamous fellow in question. These days I just tend to call him Dok or affectionately Herr Doktor when I'm joking. He seems as finicky and undecided about his name as he is about wigs and eyes. Every time I look at photos of other fabulous dolls I start doubting my choice, but when I get up the nerve to pick him up, I like him all over again.

Personality wise, the Dok is a gentleman, though detached and a little bit off in his own world. He's too calm to be a run of the mill mad doctor or genius but he feels very eccentric and inadvertently can be off putting. I don't think he realizes this. All my friends who have picked him up and interacted with him suspect him of being asexual- I find this pretty funny.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I'm an artist and an illustrator, so I respond very strongly to sculpts, for different reasons. Dollshes make me happy, Unoas are very sweet, Ipplehouse dolls are admirable, I adore Doll Chateau sculpts, and many fantasy type dolls like centaurs and those with hooves and horns and so on make me so happy to see. As you can tell, I'm all over the place. All companies have sculpts that I like and sculpts that I really don't like.

What's your current BJD goal? I really think that I ought to get better at faceups. I'd like to get better at sewing. I want to get Dok's lab assistant to look less miserable (impossible!) and I am really looking forward to Dok's first 'creation' (the DC guy) to come in. I am planning on two fraternal sorta twin MSDs in the future.

The Meetup platform works pretty well.This might not be a BJD only group, depending on how many people we can find who are interested. I went to a meeting of the Northern Virginia BJD group, but the D.C. area is just too far for me to travel on a regular basis. We could have "floating" locations for the group meetings, but I'd like to keep it within a 50 mile radius.
I've learned many tips and gotten ideas from people who collect, modify, and repair all sorts of dolls, so perhaps we could be inclusive. Think of it as a way to introduce others to your hobby. What's your current BJD goal? My current goal, and one of the motivations to start a penpal, is making photos. I want to learn to make good pics and make a lot of them. I hope my penpal wants to receive pics of my dolls so I start to take pics of them more often.

Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? I think I would just love to have someone to talk to! I've only been in the hobby for just over a year, so I feel like I could learn a lot from someone who's a little more experienced, and if there's anything I can share on that front, I'd be more than happy to. Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? Considering I have plans to grow my collection substantially within the next few years, this answer could easily change, but right now my favorite doll is Ezekiel, my Mystic Kids Lawrence and first ever BJD. He's ridiculously handsome, and he knows it too. He's in his 20s (22 last I checked, or maybe it was 24), and when he's within range of other humans of his kind (basically "chosen by the gods" trope), he gains control over fire. Sorta. But mostly he's just arrogant and openly flirty, and thinks he's cool when he... isn't all that cool.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I currently have one resin SD and one ABS Tiny, but I've begun growing awful fond of MSDs. I have two MSD girls on layaway, and have plans for at least four more besides, three boys and another girl. So really, at this point, I'm open to exploring! Some companies I like include Asleep Eidolon and Xagadoll (and Withdoll, and DollZone, and all sorts of companies), and some I dislike include Doll Chateau and Kaye Wiggs.

What's your current BJD goal? Right at this very moment, I'm paying off a layaway for the twins from a story I wrote with a friend in high school. Eventually I want to have the entire main cast of 6 shelled as MSD sculpts. Other long-term goals include improving my photography and actually learning how to sew functional clothing.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like?: Since my only complete doll at the moment is my DZ Hid, Reito. He's a round about 150 year old half-kitsune demon, searching for his lost twin brother Junko. Since he's my first he also always be one of my favourites.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like?: I am a huge fan of the older DollZone dolls and Migidoll. The most I like male dolls that have kind of anime-like features I guess. I am personally not into the too realistic looking dolls.

What's your current BJD goal?: Get money to buy face up materials as well as getting bodies for my two floating heads.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? That is hard to say! I will say Hana since she's currently at home, she was my first BJD and her character is very decided and non-bulshit, she cares about others but more with actions than words.

I think we could say I love Dollzone, most of the sculpts I like are from there, I also like other companies like IOS, Luts, Souldoll and sculpts that look different. I prefer 1/4 dolls but I'm falling in love with 1/6 and smaller BJDs, they are just too adorable! I only plan to have 2-3 1/3 BJDs, they just don't interest me much.

What's your current BJD goal? I making a story specific for BJDs, my goal is finish the details so I can write it and finish getting the characters for it. I also want to make photo stories of the characters daily life and make more props for them.

All my characters are supernatural beings and I deal a lot with blue-orange morality, my idea is if they are another species there's no logical reason they should think like humans and I try so this the best I can. Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? I'd like to say I love all my dolls equally, but Tsurayuki, my very first doll, will always have a special place in my heart. He's a Dream of Doll Lahoo I got back in 2006. He's one of those silent types, but he has a gentle heart, and is always looking out for those he cares for.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? My favorite doll is my KDF Duri. I ordered him from LUTs last year, and he was the first doll to actually work for me (I sold my first two dolls). Although Aurelio (or Lio) is a bit of a socially awkward and quiet kid, he can be pretty upfront at times. He also loves being surrounded by nature and the great outdoors!
