Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? I want someone to chat dolls with!
Most of the people I've 'doll befriended' over the years have ended up being good friends but we never seem to talk about dolls anymore. I miss having some one to spaz with over new releases. I have no doll buddies other than over the net so I never go to meet ups.

Iplehouse! I have three SIDs and a BID (And currently awaiting my first JID) But I own Luts and Soom dolls too. I mostly like realistic dolls but I love BJDs in general.

To own a couple more Iples and then just be happy with what I have, I'm running out of space!

Do you especially want to find other people who share your favorite dolls or company? Iple are my favourite doll so I guess it would be ideal to talk to someone that loves them too, but I don't mind chatting about other dolls.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? My Jude. I got him January 19th, 2013. He is a MSD Angel of Dream Wang Zi. I have loved him since my best friend got her first BJD, an Angel of Dream An. I knew Wang Zi was the one for me. He's shy, but he opens up pretty quickly. He sadly has been in storage for 3 months before he was shipped, so he has a hard time with affection.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I have minor experience with a couple of companies. So far, Angel of Dream has been amazing. No complaints. Also, I am absolutely in love with Doll Chateau sculpts.


What's your current BJD goal? Learn how to sew. That's my first and most important goal right now.

But he's brash, sarcastic, two faced, and overly friendly if he doesn't like people-- which is roughly 99% of the time. Slightly mentally unstable u__u

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? Hmm-- It's hard to explain the style that I like. I would say I like dolls that are somewhere in the middle between realistic and cartoonish? I used to be very into Luts and CP's old sculpts, so those are the ones I'm most familiar with. But my tastes have been changing, haha.

What's your current BJD goal? Downsizing my crew somehow.....

Also to get better at photography, as well as working out everyone's unique personalities... Then making that all fit together into a dynamic cast of characters.

I don't particularly care since I doubt companies or mold will factor much into the conversation, but at the risk of sounding like a pompous asshole, I tend to find that people with similar tastes have a different kind of connection? Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? I'm looking for someone who lives close to me to obsess over dolls with! By "close" I mean preferably in Canada, and the closer the better.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? My Favourite is Sol by Ringdoll. I tend to like 70cm mature looking dolls, and the really tiny, cute dolls.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I like mature-looking big dolls, and tend to prefer boys. As for smaller dolls, I like them to be cute, and tend to go for the girls.

What's your current BJD goal? Save up to buy more dolls, and to make more clothes for them. I also want to futher develope their characters and stories.

Any additional info about your BJD(s) you want to share: I thought I'd share their story.

All my dolls have their own personla story, but they're all related in a big story together. They in a hired killer group, it's a very mysterious but strong group. People imagine it to be a huge group, but it's actually a small, fairly new group with only 14 people. Their code names are cards, from Ace to K in order of increasing strength, and also Joker. K is the "king", the leader of the group. Ace is a special information collector and doesn't actually go out on missions. I haven't decided for Joker yet, but it's probably gonna be a person who's doctor,a scientist, and a computer hacker.

There's also a member that betrayed te group and is currently being chased down. He won't be killed though because he's extremely intelligent, and he will also fall in love with the current leader (it was a different leader when he was still in the group) of the group later XD He betrayed the group because he had a very good friend in the group, but his friend was sent on a mission and died. He realized that the old leader purposely sent him to kill him because he was becoming too strong and was a potential threat to his position. He got mad and killed the leather, leaked out some info of the group, and left.

Also, this group has an orphanage where they take kids with potential and train them to be killers. Each member would find a few kids that they think are good, and when they die one of those kids would become a new member of the group. These kids are my smaller dolls.

Every member has their own story, and everyone is twisted in some way (you can't be normal to be a killer :P). There's many different relationships between members as well, and how good this relationship is depends on their personality or if they have some kind of special background story. It's a bit difficult to get this sorted out at the moment so I'm just letting it slowly develope.

There's also an enemy group. I haven't got this group figured out yet because I don't know if I'll ever have any of my dolls to be in that group, but this group is a very old group with a fairly different system. They want t get rid of the other group because they were the best group for the longest time before that group appeared out of nowhere and took their spot. ​

I'm Agnostic/Athiest but I accept others beliefs and enjoy learning about other religions. As long as you down shove it in my face or try to convert me I'm content with discussing it. I'm very left wing and support gay rights and all that jazz, I'm bi myself but am in a heterosexual relationship currently so I'm not looking for online relationships at all. Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? My favorite doll is Parker, my CP Shiwoo. I only received him last week and he is still naked but he's one of my dream dolls. He was cursed to be immortal for practicing forbidden magic but despite that he tries to keep his spirits up. He has a very outgoing and maybe slightly flirtatious personality. Occasionally he gets in a mood where he keeps to himself though. Story wise he was born in the 1660s in England, when witches were being hung.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I like guys. *___* Male dolls are definitely my thing, and the bigger the better. I like gruff big guys and just 'normal' fellows such as Kaleighya above. I like pretty girl dolls too, I just don't feel like they'd be for me. Also, anything smaller than SD is too small for me to own. As for a style, I like realism. Elaborate fantasy or even historical dolls just don't really speak to me, I like my boys slice of life style most of the time.

As for companies, I love love love Elfdoll! Switch is cool too and I've grown to like newer Angell-Studio guys as well.

I've never really gotten along with my local doll community as much as I'd like to. Do you mean like, my favorite doll that I own, or my favorite doll in general? I guess it doesn't matter in my case, since I own my favorite doll! His name is Ian and he is a migidoll Ryu. He's in his early twenties and he lives in his friend's basement, mostly playing videogames and being an all-around slacker. But he's very good looking, and his fifteen year old gamer buddy drags him out evey once in a while to socialize, which he is surprisingly good at. I really like what I call 'stylized realism' which in my mind is basically the more realistic end of the scale, but stylized enough to look 'perfect' enough not to be totally human, I guess? I think the dolls I have the most of would be Soom (Of course... though most of them are hybridized onto Fairyland bodies.) and other than that, I think my taste can be pretty eclectic. Honestly, I'm gonna try to finish my wishlist! Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? My DOC Homme Kirill and recently my Migidoll Shion are my faves. They both represent the same character (Yuki) but at different ages. I usually RP with them, not so much my other boys. In the future I plan to RP with other BJDs I add to my collection. My other boys have a fantasy theme so I don't RP with them. Yuki and my future BJDs will have a modern Japanese backstory. I love Japanese themed dolls especially if they are based on the Yakuza or traditional Japanese arts.

Why are you looking for a BJD penpal
I am just a bit of everything it suggests putting here. I live in a remote area that I'd almost swear I am the only one here that even owns one BJD. I can't ever make it to meets, and not many of my friends are interested in BJD. I kind of love all my dolls equally. They all are made to represent a certain aspect of my personality. Kadan represents the tomboy and gamer in me - especially since when I was about 12 and was discovering myself, I went through a spell where I dressed as a boy and had the same exact style and personality I ended up implanting on him. Chiisa represents my odd occasional childishness. I feel there are parts of me that will never grow up. I also have an extreme love for animals, which she also has. Lyrik represents the "punky" musical fun side of me that likes raves, jpop and kpop, kandi, and the style of dress I find cute.

Kadan was originally based off of my image of what my own son would be like - I have miscarried once (haven't had any kids to this day) and so sometimes I used to wonder what he'd be like. Originally, I was going to give him the name we had for the child, but scratched the idea and dropped alot of the aspects and changed him into who Kadan is now. So... Leeke Mikhalia's body is a major turn off for me, but perhaps given a larger head to look more chibi-like, she could probably be worked with. In essence, I usually look for the best in a doll, and as I would like to get into modding I see unnatural looking sculpts as a great inspiration and a perfect way to house stylized characters, like Vriska Serket.


What's your current BJD goal?: To learn more about modding and make dolls out of as many Homestuck characters as I can afford. After I have conquered the Medium, then I will go after the worlds of Sherlock and Doctor Who! Muahahahaha- um. Lastly, I go to a boarding school. That means that besides on some weekends (and my breaks), my online interactions may be lightly monitored. I do not expect that the staff there will look too closely on what I am corresponding about (or even see my screen at all- they mostly just hover if anything), but it might be better if during those times, you do not type anything you would not want a teacher to see. Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? The artist dolls is my favorite because I feel it is so much ecpression, love and feelings behind them. I love many, and all have a special differens that make them to personalities. I like some companydolls too, for keeping the start from asia alive.

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I really love Kaye Wiggs, Nefer Kane, Connie Lowe, Lillycat, Twigling... and I do love colored resin. My favorite size is msd, but I also like very much the sprockets by connie lowe and humptuy dumpty. As long as the head is big, yosd is good on pics!

What's your current BJD goal? I have three:
1. To finish my book (and try to get it published)
2. to find the doll to the carachter "me". I have found it, but not found any that have her for sale as preorder is over.
3. Take so good photos that artists let me photoshoot for them (in future off course, since I not are out any now).

Do you especially want to find other people who share your favorite dolls or company? It does not mather, as long as you are okey with me liking mine too. But offcourse, it is exiting to share our ideas for the dolls with special meaturements/sizes. I do like crocheting for my dolls that do not fit into "normal" yosd, sd or msd clothes.

Any additional info about your BJD(s) you want to share: My dolls are my models, my life, my personality, when I write and photograph them. So please do not step on the door doll (my guardian).

Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? Don’t really have any friends within the hobby; near or far. Probably the main contributor to me drifting in and out of the hobby. Would love to start talking to someone near by who could hopefully meet in the future but doesn’t stop me from meeting people across the pond!




Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? My one and only boy Jayden; He’s a Migidoll Ryu. He’s a pretty laid back character but does have his faults like everyone; very open-minded and willing to have a good laugh. His backstory is as simple as can get; he’s pretty much completely welsh but has alternated living in Wales and London before settling down in Leicester




Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? Migidoll!!! It was the Migidoll Ryu that got me into BJD’s, It’s the Migidoll Ryu that I wanted and eventually got, my literal grail doll. Though I do have a soft spot for the Jina and also quite like the Cho, Miho and Mir


What's your current BJD goal? Finally get Jay a permanent body so can finally give him a tattoo and so on; Also want to get a Jina, Cho and Mir. So many goals so little money!!




Do you especially want to find other people who share your favorite dolls or company? Not too bothered really, while would be nice to talk to someone who likes the same company it’s not necessary

Any "important" information that people should know: Well, I do have a physical disability. Fairly bad social anxiety. I'm spiritual with pagan leanings. I read tarot and occasionally runes. Whatever you believe or don't believe, I'm all for. Though, I'm probably not going to get along with someone considered very conservative. As I'm not.

Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? Well, re: above, social anxiety. I'm trying to be more social. Hobbies are good places to meet people. I don't have any people around who collect BJDs. And it's not easy for me to get out to meets. I'm not even sure there's any nearby, actually. Forums sometimes intimidate me, especially this very large one. (Sometimes I have to hide until it goes away.) One on one is really better for me. I would love to maybe exchange care packages. I think that would be really fun. Not at all necessary, though.

Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? My 44cm Obitsu w/ Haruka head. Her name is Bedelia. She was my very first BJD and I'm very fond of her. I don't have any pictures of her on this computer, unfortunately. Still working out her personality (after three years... I just recently decided on her name... :/) She's technically named after Bedelia du Maurier from nbc's Hannibal but, yeah. <_<

Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I really love Resinsoul. Their sculpts tend to have more substantial noses and I really like that. I have three and am planning a fourth one.

What's your current BJD goal? To finish things I start. Sewing, face-ups, just little things to get my dolls &#8220;complete&#8221;. Slowly it's happening.

Do you especially want to find other people who share your favorite dolls or company? No, not really. Actually, since there's so many companies out there, I'd love to see as many variety of dolls as possible.Though, okay, RS friendly would be nice.

Any additional info about your BJD(s) you want to share: Um, I like fantasy and character dolls a lot. That seems to be my main focus. I have two dolls based on comic book characters and I have plans to make Fenris from Dragon Age II. My SD is an original Vulcan character I made up. So, yeah. (i'm a nerrrrrd...)

I don't tolerate any form of discrimination, whether based on race, sexuality, religion, etc. I am fairly nerdy (though I'm sure that can be said for most in this hobby) but I limit myself when it comes to involvement in fandoms. I'm a bit of a hipster at heart, so naturally I love all things indie and I'm always tumblr. I'm a bit of an art addict, I'm always drawing or trying to improve my techniques. I'm double majoring in Studio Art and English so my schedule will be a bit hectic this fall and I won't be able to be constantly at my computer.


Why are you looking for a BJD penpal? I'd really love to meet someone who's interested in the more artistic aspects of this hobby like photography, outfit design, or even fan art. I also think it would be great to meet someone around my age, if possible another college student, that I could relate to however that's is definitely not a must. Who is your favorite doll, and what are they like? Currently my favorite doll is my Withdoll Priscilla named Laisren. Her character is sort of quirky and shy, possibly with a bit of a smartass edge. Though I'm sure my favoritism might shift to the doll I'm preparing to order (A Dollzone Raymond) once he arrives.


Is there a specific type of doll(s) or any companies you really like? I find that I really love realistic looking sculpts that are more mature. I love distinct features on a doll (cheekbones, wide lips, odd eyes, sharp jawlines, strange noses, etc.). Iplehouse, Elfdoll, Soom and Dollzone are my four favorite companies at the moment but aesthetically, I'm drawn to SD sculpts with mature, realistic, features.


What's your current BJD goal? At the moment I'm just trying to prepare for my Dollzone Raymond. After I get him, I'd really like to purchase more SD sized dolls and learn how to photograph them in a way that does them justice. I'd also like to become active in the bjd youtube community, and make box opening videos and prompt responses.
