My boy is a Star (I named him Hoshi ), but he still has no faceup, so not a lot of photos. Yet.

Not like I should be putting another doll on layaway, either... but it's so tempting!

 

I think he does offer lay away, you just have to ask him. I think others have done that here.
You need another doll!

 

You have to arrange a layaway scheme with him via email but he's super flexible.
He did say though that he'll only accept 10 people for this event season. I being one of them. Idunno how many more else already.

 

Hey guys!

I might need some help.

I've been getting ready to get my incoming Wood some clothes and heard that they could share clothes with EIDs?
I was planning on getting something from Freedom Teller and cannot risk getting the wrong size. haha
Are they more like the muscle EIDs or the Model EIDs?


And uhh, some stores online just say the clothes fit 70cm dolls (and that's as big as they go).
Has anyone had experience having tried those on? Nine9 Style specifically.
I was worried about getting some stuff and having them not fit, considering these guys are 76cm.


Any help and advice is appreciated! Thanks!

And as for the Freedom Teller thing, I did ask if they could make something custom for me, but apparently, they were having a very busy season and couldn't get around to making clothes for a specific size. I might wait 'til they can custom make a suit, and just buy other stuff instead.

With Freedom Teller they will want you to send measurements. I recommend finding a "tailor's measurement chart with diagram" so the picture also identifies what is meant by a measurement (saying this cuz for females... bust can be 3 different measurements -over/under and point of breast...) so pictures help and the more measurements to work with the better. Like inseam AND out-seam... some of these guys are a bit long in the rump, and some are flat while others have backside to spare....

Sorry I used to take measurements for actors in theatre lol... XD

Even if you can't actually 'draft' a pattern you can still take all the relevant measure ;p

By the way FT suits are to die for ^^ I have two and need 2 more lol... but I'm too broke!

I knowwww! The suits are insane. haha But I might have to take my own measurements when they get open to accepting custom orders. Plus I dont have Wood in person yet, I just dont want him to stay naked when he gets here. hehe

Bur seriously. I'm dying to know what a suit would look like on a Wood.

 

How about a Star?
This is a suit from Freedom Teller just before they broke away from Iple House. It's a suit for EID Model body.
It's big throughout the torso (about 1/2 inch too wide from shoulders on down), but the arm length and shirt/vest/jacket length is perfect.
The pants fit, but are about an inch too short.

Oh wow, thank you! Your Star looks very sharp!
For some reason, I had thought these guys were more Muscle-type in size. I'm surprised that Model type clothes actually had room left over.

It's unfortunate that the pants are a little on the short side, but your Hoshi is a looker! I can't wait to see what he would look like with a faceup.

 

EID guys are SUPER chunky compared to just about anything, even other more muscular sculpts... and Wood and Star aren't THAT muscular. They're more muscular than the typical 70cm guy, but some of that is because they are bigger all around...

Sorry, I was away from this forum for a long time.
He's a Dolsbe age 27, Wood.
Is a very beautiful doll.
I will try to make some new pictures for share here.
His name is Seven (because he is the 7th doll that the creator did from this model), and he have a default faceup.
That giant is a very lovely guy.

 

The Jack Sparrow by YG was a totally new/OOAK sculpt. It truly is a one-off, headsculpt and all!

 

Exciting! It seems bewithyou are making a new doll size I asked if they would be making a doll smaller than the age27 guys (but bigger than the 'Baby Dolls'), in particular a smaller Wood and he said he's making something smaller, ready by this winter time (korean winter)
I hope this means a smaller Wood in msd size! Then I can finally get him

I'm still 100% smitten with my Wood, Will~! >w< I recently purchased him an Iple HID shirt and although it's definitely big on him, I'm just glad it's not small. xD

I do have a question for all the other owners, have any of you switched out the default S-hooks that the age27 body came with? My boy is extremely loose and I've tried to tighten him twice but he stays the same and my fingers are afraid of being beaten up any more. ;A; So I'm thinking of switching to the more normal s-hooks instead of the "long" ones in the body... Just curious if anyone else has changed or thought of changing.

I think it would be better if you restrung us with good elastic. I would suggest Volks SD16 elastic.Puuling the ends of the elastic cord to tighten it has never worked for me.

 

Okie dokie~! I'll try that as well~! I've only ever restrung him, so I'm still a noob regarding elastic and thought it was the long s-hooks that were causing my issues. xD;;

Been a while since anyone's been on this thread. How are your Woods and Stars going?

 

I just tightened mine up. He was a bit floppy. I did have a moment or two of panic when I couldn't find anything small enough to go through some of his channels and thought for sure he was going to be stuck in pieces.
But I found some floral wire and finally got him all back together again. Poor guy. Still needs a faceup... But hey, at least he's snug again? lol

 

Have the sales on Woods and Stars stopped? Just curious. They are such cool dolls. I hadn't got one when they were available... not sure I could get one even now (too many dolls, too low on doll-money... and space). But I hope they will be re-relased at some point if they aren't still being sold...

 

I don't know for sure, but I noticed they haven't been available for a while now too. I've got Wood in the back of my mind, and would love to get him too. But not any time soon. Time, space, money... yup.

 

Hello everyone! I wanted to share a photo of my Wood. His name is Jericho. He's a little shy, so he hasn't made an appearance in this thread yet . But yeah...I've noticed he's quite floppy as well, making him stand quite a challenge. I might have to take some of you guys' suggestions about restringing him with thicker elastic.

I actually emailed YG a while back asking about possibly ordering a Star. (He's one of my grails!) Unfortunately, he said that, while he'd love to be able to cast and sell them, the sales just aren't enough to justify casting. He needs to cast in large batches due to the cost but he only gets about 1-2 inquiries about Wood/Star a month.

I was hoping to be able to band a few people together to see if maybe we could come up with enough orders but I haven't heard back from him on a minimum order quantity. ><

 

I might be interested. I would guess you would need about 30 orders.

 

I'd be interested--maybe!--in this too. If you hear anything, definitely update here with info. --If an order seems possible, further organization needs to be taken to Convo/PM .

 

There is a Sugarbee 10cm category with no items! A little one would be cute!

 

I'll probably email him again to see how many orders would be necessary. Could probably organize a thread within the marketplace/custom orders area, too.

 

The little ones are adorable--I thought they were selling pretty well for him. But he's a single guy and I guess doing the selling and everything else is a lot of trouble.

I'm reviving this thread because I finally received an answer from the wonderful YG! Apparently we would need 10 dolls in order to produce Star/Wood. I'm not sure if we would need 10 of each sculpt or if we could mix them, so I'll keep the thread updated on that. Would people be interested if I opened a custom ordering thread in the marketplace?

 

Convo me if you do decide (but I'm not sure I'm able to buy a doll right now).

Also, along with Wood and Star, YG told me he had 2 additional new heads for the Age27 boy that he might be willing to release for us if we want! One was Mars (I think he posted photos of him somewhere in the past but never actually released him?) and another hasn't been named yet, but is almost ready. He's planning an anniversary event right now, so he's super busy, but he said he'd send me pictures of the two other heads around mid May.

 

Now is not a good time, but if it takes a couple months to organize, I may be able to join in!

 

I can imagine gathering enough people may actuly take a good while, considering a lot of people need to plan and save for their dolls. I won't be starting the search until I have the new photos from YG, since I'd like to display all options for people to choose from.

 

We should be careful and convo this... Marketplace things (potential GO or Custom Manufacturing order) needs to be only be discussed in convo's, not in non-Marketplace threads. Just sayin'.
