Also thank you! I am practically beside myself with excitement! I'm just doing the beading on the last item I am trading for X so it won't be too long untill she is home! Zero I will have to put some time in saving up for but I can hardly wait. These dolls are just the cutest and are so versatile, I love seeing all the customizations ♥
Do you have a leangth or colour in mind yet Psywave?

 

I haven't thought about it much, maybe white or green because she's pink.

I know Blip will be a keeper so it may be awhile to she gets her ''look'', but it happened to my other dolls which I had for years and in a space of 2 months everything came together.

 

Ohh ethier would be nice with pink. You could probably get white with green tips too I am excited to see how she finally comes together!

Yes, I am going to be giving her a new faceup and body painting. I love her sweet little sleepy face and the blue resin is so beautiful!

 

It's been a while since I've been near this thread oops! But I thought I'd drop in and show off Alita now that I'm finally happy with how she's turned out. The green and blue are opposite from her face and body because it's supposed to represent how the human mind works (the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and vise versa).

I'm really happy with how she turned out once I painted in the lines instead of doing it with pencil crayon although getting my hand steady was a bit of a challenge.

Hello everyone! I know the thread is pretty slow right now, but I just wanted to share that I just ordered a white Delta from Batchix and I'm beyond excited! It's been five years since I've ordered a doll (I was on a very long hiatus while I got my life and stuff together), and in the span of a week I ordered two! My Delta will be here first, so I'm really excited to get her painted and make cute clothes for her!

I just received my Delta yesterday! She is so cute and I can't wait to get her figured out. I'm going to be cleaning her up and doing her initial layer of sealant tonight and she should be painted and put back together sometime next week. I'm so happy with her!

It was totally worth the wait, just bought eyes for her. I have a few complaints but she is gorgeous.

 

I know this thread is dead but I was lucky enough to find a Delta on the second hand (more like she found me actually, her seller messaged me on my WTB post) and I'm SO pumped and looking at this thread has just got me even more excited!!

 

I'll join the dead thread because I want her dolls bad! I actually messaged Batchix and they think they might do another preorder period. I really hope so, I want Delta so bad. ;A;

Yes, the Instagram one was the exact one on my mind! Congrats on getting her! I'm sure you'll love her, my twins decorate my bookshelf at the moment, they have such sweet faces. Delta was the one I wanted most, I ended up adopting her and a Blip secondhand.

It's been awhile since I photographed them properly (mainly bc my Blip has beautiful custom eyes now), but those two are my girls. Nephrite and Taasy

Yeah, same! I love androids and this doll is just so unique. I think I might make her like a sorta cyberpunk runaway android

 

Does anyone happen to know of some clothes that fit mini machina? I heard some barbie clothes fit but other than that I've got no clue

 

Legs are too chunky for anything other than skirts/dresses, which will probably hit short bc of how high her waist is. Peplum tops would look cute, I bet curvy Barbie stuff would fit great

Mine wear MSD sweaters. I threw it on them because they’re big and cozy-looking and it’s so sweet on them. Very large though.

That vintage dress is very pretty, but since it's vintage, I don't think I'll be able to find something like that.

Maybe does YoSD bottoms fit? I haven't seen a comparison of those style of dolls with her, but I know they have thicker legs as well.

 

I received my mini machina a few days ago and have now finished her faceup! I love how she turned out and can't wait until her eyelashes are dry so I can try on her eyes.

@DrHorus your Blip is adorable! Seconding Lady Ravenswood on the stylized eyelashes, they really suit her well.

I've been feeling ambivalent about my Delta this year, so I decided to redo her and see if that rekindled the spark. It took a while to work up the nerve to wipe her original faceup, since I know I won't be able to match Batchix's skill level.

My hands aren't very steady, so it's not the neatest job, but overall I'm surprised and pleased at how she turned out. It's my first time using acrylics and it wasn't as much of a disaster as I expected. It's liable to chip like crazy, but since she spends most of her time sitting on a shelf looking cute I'm not too flustered about it.

I'm geting the green Delta on the market place(I've got her on layaway for a month)! I've got her mostly planned out. I'm thinking she looks like matcha in color(we'll see when she gets here). I'm going to theme her like she's a robot that sell matcha Kit Kats and probably name her the incredibly creative name Kit Kat

I can't wait to get working on her.
I made her a transparent circle skirt, but after making it I realized her arms destroyed the shape of it, after I made it of course! lolIt did give me an idea for a cute apron or something similar though. I can't bear to cover her up too much, I adore her sculpt and don't want to hide any of it.

 

Question, is it normal for one leg to be slightly longer? I kept having trouble balancing her and I noticed one of her legs is longer.

Aww, your mini machina is precious @elfy016 ! Just popping in because I love these gals and I used to own one. I'm curious, as your girl looks familiar to me elfy, is she a ooak green? If so, wow, I used to own her! Small world, I didn't expect to see her again.

 

Thank you! She is the factory test ooak green! I bought her on the market place towards the end of last year as a birthday present to myself She was my grail doll and I was shocked to see her after I'd taken a long break from the hobby.

Just wanted to officially post in this thread that I joined the current preorder for a Delta in the soft violet color, and it feels so nice to finally order a cute dolly that I’ve admired for so so many years. I know Instagram and Facebook have taken over, but I just wanted to say it here on DoA where it all started for me!

Come share her here once she's home @nikopiko ! I've liked these girls for a long time, though I'm not so sure about the body. Batchix's Etsy page says the body will be different the next time they're available. I'm hoping the pretty light violet resin will be available again.

 

This release will already have updated hands. I’m actually a little sad she won’t be 100% the original design. Flaws and all I always wanted the original, but I’m so happy to be getting one shiny and new! And I’m curious about the new body design, maybe I’ll have to also order that with a different face plate!

 

Does anyone have pics of the updated hands? I'm curious what they look like.

Necro'ing this thread in hopes of some brainstorming. I have a Blip with the cat ears, but I'd love to be able to up the animal factor and add a tail. The problem is, I can't quite figure out how in a way that looks good. My initial plan involved a magnetized tail with the matching magnet getting placed inside the pelvis, but upon separating out her pieces, I found that her pelvis didn't really have any good spots to stick one. Next attempt, using ribbon: tied around the waist it looks way too high, running the ribbon between her waist and pelvis pieces just looks odd. And now I'm stuck. I suppose that a way to do it would be to drill into the resin, but I'd rather avoid doing that. Thoughts?

 

You could possibly use hot glue, which is removable (although it might remove paint when you do remove it)

 

I've used hot glue to attach a magnet on a minifees butt for a tail- just glued it outside. The glue held fine but came off when I decided to remove it (she didn't have noticable blushing). Only problem with it was that it was quite bulky, I didn't have very strong magnets so what I used look big compared to the doll. Depending on the tail and what kind of clothes you prefer it could work.
What does the tail look like? (Totally not just angling for more pictures of these cuties )

Frisk with her tail-my hope is that it's big and solid enough to act as a stand of sorts for a lot of poses, as she's wobbly as all getout. I think I may need to try the hot glue trick-if it doesn't work, it's not a big deal to do some repainting, as she's still getting touched up. I just need to see if I have small enough magnets on hand or if I need to make a trip.
