I also noticed that there's no Etas this time around. Looks like I'll just be getting Blip, then! I might look around for a second hand Eta, hm.

 

if you are getting a white skin Blip - then you might ask her if she still has any white skin Eta heads left. Since she ordered extra heads originally, she might.

 

That's not a bad idea, I'd be looking for white in both anyway Thanks for the suggestion!

I want a Blip so bad! I still need to repaint (finish painting in the first place) my Delta. I gave her a quick body job during an airbrushing demo, but it wasn't quite what I was going for. She always needed to be pink! If I get a pink Blip too, they can share parts and be near-twins. I won't paint Delta totally one color, but pink and gold fades that would complement Blip's gorgeous bubblegum tones.

 

Oh gosh, now that I've seen these cuties in pink I want both a white one (for GLaDOS) AND a pink one (she would make an awesome Arcee... especially if I got another white one to swap parts with ).

Oh gosh, Blip is adorable... but I think I actually want her in a cool tone (green/blue/purple) instead of pink. So I think I might be safe this time around, thankfully, because I don't have quite enough money to pull off a layaway.

I can't express how excited I am! I knew I wanted a Mini Machina since before Batchix even finished making the original, haha. However until now, due to moving (twice!), I haven't had the money at the right time. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, because I adore Blip so much.

I was super tempted to get one in pink, because- coloured resin~
But I ended up going for white, because I think I can do more with her.

Haven't settled on a name yet, or a concrete personality or design, but I have some ideas. I've already got some glowing orange eyes from Ersa Flora. I DO know she's going to be Cybertronian, since I'm a huge transformers nerd.

At least the wait leaves me some time to figure all this out. Names are so hard!

 

I can't wait to see owner pictures of Blip! She's on my must-haves list. She's really cute!

Here is Zee and Blip at the KBJD Show. Zee and Blip are both showing off their new Oscar Eyes (AWESOME EYES!!!!).



Zee also thinks that she needs a pal and that I need to get Blip. *sigh*

 

I can't wait for Blip to start shipping, I feel like modding my other dolls into cyborgs or have robotic parts.

Oscar Eyes are awesome but they are really hard to order online because they sell out fast.
The urethane eyes I bought for Blip is now going to another doll so I need to look for new eyes again.

 

For those curious, I asked Batchix about what size elastic the Mini Machina girls use. She told me 3mm for the body/legs and 1.5mm for the arms. Might be helpful on the front page? I've never seen it written down anywhere.

Once my MSC and extra elastic gets here, I'll have everything ready for my girl. Aside from settling on a name....

Hi there~ I have a Delta named Alita. She's going to end up representing how the human brain works. My Boyfriend and I own her half and half (Batchix was selling a white Delta she had left over a couple months ago on tumblr so we jumped on it!) but our favorite colours are blue and green so I've been trying to think of how to incorporate that into her design.

She's still blank right now but I plan to do half of her body green, the other half blue (the lines, and a little blushing) while the face up would have the same colours but on the opposite sides, so like how the right side of the human brain controls the left side of the body her colours would represent that. I'm not quite sure about the rest of the face up but I was thinking some very light black eye shadow and maybe gold lips to match her helmet, although more than likely her lips are going to be a marbled mix of blue and green not quite sure yet since I don't even know if I want to keep the helmet (although I am pretty sure I'm the last person to get one before she switched to the ears)

I feel happy having some people to share this with, but I also have a question for everyone. What size of wig did you guys have to get for her? I know it's smaller than a yo-sd wig (1/8) so would she be a 1/12? I'm having a hard time finding a wig for her considering I don't even know what size I should be looking at.

 

Hi Kiotaro, congratulations on getting Alita! She sounds like she'll be really cool! My Delta wears a standard 5/6 wig like for Pukifee. I got her a Monique Gold 5/6 and it fit pretty good.

 

@Kiotaro: Their head measurement is 5,5, so she takes 5-6 inch wigs (for example Leeke and Luts offer this size). ^^
I like her name. Reminds me of the GUNNM manga series that I really like. Please show her to us once you have done the coloring. I'd really love to see that. ^^

 

Thanks, I'm still not to sure about wig sizes and stuff like that even though I've been in the hobby for a couple years now. I was not expecting her head to be so tiny when I got her but I will hopefully be able to get her a wig soon.

@Laoky: Actually! My boyfriend mentioned a manga when we were picking out her name. In fact I'm pretty sure GUNNM is the Japaneses name for Battle Angel Alita, which is quite honestly where we got the name. He was like "Hey I read this manga and the characters name was Alita and she was a robot" and I liked the name so that's why we went with it hehe.

But I'll be sure to come back and show her off once I get her done. Just need some money and to get my hands on some MSC first.

Her head is 5.5 - which means her wig size is 5/6. Same size as the Luts Tiny Delfs.

 

That is a Souldoll Souloid body. I'm not sure what head is on the body. It doesn't look like Iraki (which I have). But I'm no good with identifying heads.

The Souloid body is larger end MSD sized - about 48cm.

 

My guess would put him as a Souloid An...though I could be completely wrong, it's hard to tell sometimes with company pictures.

The combo of white, blue and green sounds great. Congrats on snagging the extra Delta, btw! I was seriously tempted, but I lost my heart to Blip, so I had to pass her up. Glad to see she went to a great home C:
For My Doll has a fair few wigs in that size, and you can always pre-order a custom wig from them if nothing catches your fancy.

 

I am going to be so impatient waiting for my Blip. I ordered her in pink and luckily had enough money to do the full payment at once, for once.

 

Oh, I thought I should mention for anyone who doesn't know, it looks like you can still get an Eta, but as an 'extra' head. You could always buy a Blip or Delta, but pop the Eta head on instead

 

Hi guys I promised I'd be back to post a picture of Alita once I got her face up done- It's not done done, I just have to do the eye brows but I'm content for today and will finish her face up tomorrow.

I'll get to rest of her sooner or later although it won't be a lot of work. (encase you can't tell I have no idea what I'm doing), the colours look a lot darker but the picture kind of messes that up... and you can't really see the base for the eyebrows OTL, but I tired. This is only my fourth face up?

After mentally kicking the crap out of myself for missing the last preorder period, I decided to go to Bat's site and fawn over the robo-beauties... and wouldn't you know, she's taking preorders! Just putting a white Delta on layaway now!!!

 

As far as I know Batchix will sometimes order some more to sell later. I guess this time, as well, seeing that the pre-order went so smoothly. ^^
Also, sometimes they don't sell after all. asking her about it is always an option. ^^

Gah, getting really excited. They're shipping from the casting company now, so soonish they should be shipping out to us.

I was hoping she'd be here in time for my birthday, but it's still great to know she's on the first leg of her journey.~

Can't wait to see everyone's new robots! I decided to hold off on this round, in hopes of something like a teal or purple in the next casting of Blip, but I'm still excited for everyone who did order.

 

Make that seven aussie minis- I ordered Blip and Eta in white (to go with my white delta) and my housemate ordered an eta.

So excited! Need to order eyes and paint and start on the wigs! I might even have them ready for chaoz!
