      Bastito! He looks a lot like bastian, but he's on a Delf Kid body. I got the ratio of color right. When I get ready to do bastian's head I'll do a tutorial.

    3. Sorry to hear about your mold making setback, If it makes you feel any better the first silicone mold i ever made (back in the stoneage) was a disaster.

      I used roma plastillina "hope thats spelled right" to sculpt my master (roma plastillina = hunk of sulfur) so my silicone didnt fully cure. :(

      "think big wad of chewing gum"

      Not only did i ruin a batch of really expensive silicone (it was even more expensive back when i was in school) I ruined my master sculpt as well.

      you'll get it right next time :)

      Bastito looks great though and you matched his color perfect!!
      thats hard to do, way to go!! :)

    8. oho! Bastito is MUCH cuter than I expected.... and as for poor little demonllama.. well, I LIKE most of him - ok, the nose sort of freaks me out a bit.. looks like a major cocaine overload.. but... oh, those lips and that jawline!

      Also, before I take this into general marketplace, would anyone like one of Bastito's junk heads for a practice head? They all look like the one shown above, they're not horribly mangled like the demon llama. XD They don't have head caps and the tops of their heads are really covered in flash(excess resin), so without a lot of work they won't be good for actual heads for a doll., they're also not quite the right color... But if you want something to practice on, they're fine. :3 I'd be happy to sand off the excess flash too since I have a dremel to do it. just pm me. I'm asking $30 for them.

      :D!!!!! He's cast! I still need to cast a head cap, and this head is NOT an exact resin match at all. But I wanted to paint him up and get some pictures. But now I am sick and feverish. I stayed up all last night finishing him. ._.;;;

Bastian is finished and available for sale! :D This first run of heads is to generate enough money for bills(yeck) and to buy more resin supplies to make a new master cast and to cast my mini head. :3 I have the color down for my hound, but apparently Hound varies a bit from batch to batch. The only way I can make an exact color is for you to send me a peice of your hound, like a hand or something. I can then resin match him. This especially goes for Tan or White since I don't have easy access to either.

      I'm asking $75 for the first run of heads, since they aren't "perfect". This doesn't mean they're horribly off or that they're disfigured, no more demon llamas. XD But there are some minor blemishes to his face, the inside surface of his head cap isn't smooth, and so forth. Most of these can be taken care of with a little sanding. The $75 includes me removing his seams, and doing a basic face up. I seal with Games Workshop Matte right now, until the whole UV CUT MATTE catastrophy of them deciding not to make anymore, or whatever blows over. I've found it to feel and smell the same as MSC... and no ill effects so far. <3

      I think I'll hold out until the second run, though - I'm going to be tanning him, so I want to be sure his face is as even as possible to work on. I'm certainly not against paying the extra $25 and waiting a bit (I need the money for cosplay right now, anyway).
