Duke: *breathless* Is Marjorie still here?
Trevor: She's in her office, waiting for her roommate Bev to pick her up.
Duke: I need to talk to her --


Marjorie: *smiles* Oh, hello, Duke. I'm looking forward to tonight.
Duke: Marjorie... I, uh... I just wanted to see you before the show. I...


Marjorie: Are you all right? You look upset.
Duke: No-o, I'm okay, I... *smiles* I'm fine. I can't wait for you to hear us. I --


Bevan: Ready to go, Marjorie?
Duke: *jaw drops* Wha...??
Marjorie: *uncomfortable* Oh... Duke. Duke, this is my... roommate, Bevan.


Duke: Roommate?? You have a GUY roommate?? I thought --
Marjorie: Duke, I should have mentioned it to you. Bevan and I --
Bevan: *interrupts* We used to go out.
Marjorie: *quietly* Bevan, please.
Duke: USED to go out?
Marjorie: He's... between jobs right now, so he's staying with me until he finds something and can get his own place again.


Duke: You've GOT to be kidding. This has to be the worst day of my life. We're losing our bass player, and now this.
Marjorie: Losing your...? Duke --
Duke: No, no, it's okay. Look, Marjorie, I have to get back for sound check, they're waiting for me. If you -- I mean, I still want you to --
Marjorie: Don't worry, I'll be there, I promise. You can tell me everything later.
Duke: Okay... okay, I will! See you there!


Duke: *under his breath* What the hell?? Goddamn it!!
Marjorie: *worried* Oh no...


Bevan: Who was that?
Marjorie: He's Trevor's younger brother.
Bevan: *hmph* He's younger, all right.


Bevan: You didn't mention him. Er, not that you HAVE to.
Marjorie: We're only friends, Bev. I don't know him very well yet. I just... *worried sigh*


Bevan: Do you mind if I go to the club with you?
Marjorie: *suddenly* What?? No! No, I don't think that's a good idea.
Bevan: *shrugs* It's a free country.
Marjorie: Bevan!
Bevan: Okay, okay, I won't go.


Bevan: Well, I WILL, but... I won't SIT with you. That way your little crush won't see me with you. How 'bout that?
Marjorie: *dubiously* I guess so...
