Atelier Momoni

Well, I finally get to join the Atelier Momoni club! I'm waiting for a blue Nena02 Reira to arrive after missing out on a few in the marketplace this year.

There are a lot of good suggestions in the thread of where to buy clothing for the Nena02 size, but I was wondering if anyone had new favorites or updated information? She's such an odd little size to dress, but I couldn't resist.

I got my Frappzilla wig in the mail. It fits perfectly and is lovely and soft. It really helps to have a wig that fits well. Next up I think I'm going to try to take a Blythe dress pattern I got off Etsy and make the length longer. Then she might have clothes that fit well too!

I got the same from Frappzilla! It looks so sweet on her, I like the color you chose. I can't wait for Momonita to ship... Feels like it will be awhile.

 

I know I haven't been active here lately. The thing is, I haven't been overly inspired (creative-wise) and if you can believe it, I put my 'Nita up for sale - I even got a response - but then my daughter got upset and asked me NOT to sell her. She reminded me of the story I'd created for her, how great a poser she is, and how portable a size she is. So here is my 'Nita, sporting a new set of eyes and a new demeanor. I decided to give her an official name now and find a style that fits her personality. Let me introduce you to Sidonie...

@sarahdipity That Frapzilla wig looks so good on her! I love Frapzilla wigs. I hope that she'll do another tiny preorder 'cause I'd love to order some for my future Momonita MiniReira (whenever Atelier Momoni opens preorders for her).

@Ban Sidhe She looks stunning! I'm glad that you decided to keep her.

BTW When preorders open, is there a limit to how many dolls you can order? Should Atelier Momoni ever open preorders for MiniReira, I'd like to order two and make them twins.

I can't imagine Lola saying no to multiple orders, @Eiko82. What colors are you thinking about?

 

Gosh, that is a really hard question. I really liked the toffee and cocoa skin tones. They're such lovely colours and I'd love to own a girl in one of those colours. But my original idea was two freckled white girls. So I'll probably go for Sand or Fresh colours.

BTW Did you see the latest post on Facebook/Instagram? She is probably opening a preorder around X-mas for fantasy colours!!

 

@Eiko82 Ooh, I did! And mini-reira is also on the preorder list with the fantasycolors I was wondering that if Somni is there too? Like is this order for Somni and Reira, or is there Momonita and Momoni as well? I need to ask that from Lola.
Lola said to my friend that multiple orders are fine, you can basicly order as many as you want.

 

@Tuulen Lola said on Facebook that Somni isn't ready yet and that she will be released next year.
It'll be MiniReira and Momonita in fantasy colours in December. On the photo, the fantasy colours are pink, green, blue and grey. But I don't know if all those colours will be available.

Lola also said that normal colours for MiniReira will be next year.

I must say that I'm torn. I REALLY want a MiniReira. I wanted two of them in normal colours but I don't have the patience to wait 'til next year (first world problems, I know XD ). So now I'm debating if I wouldn't order one in a fantasy colour.

Is anyone else gonna order?

 

@Eiko82 MiniReira in grey would be adorable, but oh boy, I would love to have her in tan >.> I'm also torn between the fantasycolors and basic colors...
But to answer your dilemma, basicly grey and petal would go as a ghostly twinsisters?

 

@Tuulen There are so many beautiful colours to choose from!! MiniReira in tan would be stunning. And in sand, fresh, pink, blue or grey. At this rate, I'll want an army of MiniREiras XD
I think I'll just impatiently wait to see which colours will be available for the fantasy preorders and then decide.

BTW You mentioned Jonna Jonzon's work before. Think she'd make Momoita-sized clothes? ^___^

Same here with the colors xD Lola is working on the new website so I hope she's able to get that ready before the preorder. I'm happy that I get my tax refund on December, so I have few extra bucks add to my savings for minireira.

I hope that I'm able to order soon two long skirts and two shirts for Mallow! She needs new clothing.

 

@Tuulen Same here, I get my tax return at the end of Nov. Where does Jonna take orders? I would like to order a few outfits.

 

I don't think she has any websites anymore :O She hasn't thought of selling out of Finland yet, since the shipping is expensive. She's worried that buyers would take off after hearing the shipping. It's 40$ to Usa, 25-35$ to Europe.
But I will ask if she would give it a second thought!

 

@Lino4ka Awww, your little ones are adorable. I love the one on the right. She is such a cutie! Just wanna pinch her little cheeks.

@Tuulen I can see why the shipping costs would prevent some buyers. It can be a lot but I guess if you buy a couple of outfits, it wouldn't be so bad. I hope that she'll reconsider.

Gosh, every possible preview or mention of the upcoming Momonita/MiniReira preorder on Lola's social media has me all excited. I really can't wait to order. I actually impulse-bought a Momonita-sized Frapzilla wig yesterday. Not sure it'll fit MiniReira but when I finally get one, at least she'll have a wig waiting for her ^_____^

 

@Eiko82 Yup! Her prices are very affordable though! I paid 18€ from a custom made dress from her and I consider that fairly cheap The amount of details was crazy she managed to put on a dress in that scale!

I'm excited about the preorder too! I'm just anxious because I can't decide if I should order miniReira on fantasy color OR wait till the spring and the tan ones? Grey miniReira is so tempting though but so is toffee ...

 

@Tuulen Wow, that's a great price for a custom dress! Once I get my girl, I really hope to commission her.

I know how you feel about the preorder. I want a MiniReira in normal colour but I know I'll regret not ordering one in the upcoming preorder. I keep telling myself that a grey, blue or pink MiniReira would be cool as well. The Iced Blue Nena02 Reira had quite a lovely colour.
I actually mailed Lola to ask her which colours will be included in the preorder. Hope she answers me soon.

I liked your suggestion of a ghostly twin pair. So now, I'm thinking of having one ghostly MiniReira and 2 normal MiniReiras to make them triplets. It'll be MiniReira overload XD

Sorry to double-post but Lola told me which colours will be available for the preorder : Lavender Pink, Iced Blue, Lilac, Dust grey and Gamora.

I made a quick mock-up of the colours shown on Instagram with their names:

I'm not entirely if the pink Momonita isn't the same as the MiniReira in Lavender Pink. They might be the same.

Tried to take few pics of Mallow today, but since it started raining, I didn't go outside like I had planned x.x Soooo, I gave up and took few inside but didn't feel quite happy about it. The lightning was off every once in a while and neighbors were creeping behind our window, not the best situation today for pics xD

@Eiko82 Those colours are wonderful! I just adore lilac and grey ones. I already have so many ideas for both of those colours, but I don't have enough money for both. The lilac one would make perfect blueberry / blackberry inspired character for my grew. I thought it would be cool to collect all the mini ones and make them the smallest plants of our forests xD Since my Momonita in sand, she's called Mallow after that plant, lilac one would be Blueberry or Blackberry.
Grey one would be perfect as a Lichen! Specially as the Cladonia arbuscula one.

 

@Tuulen - That sounds like such a cool idea. I think that you'll still have some time to save up. Her preorder probably wouldn't happen 'til next year.

I really do hope that Lola will offer these hands separately. Otherwise I might be tempted to order Somni and body-swap her with a MiniReira.

 

Christmas came early this year : I got a Momonita! Meet Athena!

I didn't expect to buy a Momonita. In fact, I was saving up for a MiniReira. But when I saw this little cutie painted by memoles_dollroom on Instagram for sale, I just had to bring her home. She is such a cutie!!

 

Ah! Adorable! I can't wait for my momonita to get home, I have hope that will be some time next week depending on customs etc... Those eyes are striking!

I found out my girl arrived home for christmas a few hours before I did! So I promptly had to start making her some clothing~



I haven't tried the pants pattern yet, but I found the size "curvy barbie" patterns from DJ Requiem on etsy fit momonita pretty well with minimal alteration, if any, depending on how well you can eyeball 1/8". Not the most sewing machine friendly as a result, but of course, Momonita's so small that it isn't taking me very long to sew everything up by hand. I love the hazel eyes Lola sent! I was considering hunting down some in brown, but these are so perfect that I don't think I could find anything better for the look I wanted.

Really waiting to see more on the body comparisons between the "youth" body and the standard Momonita body. Also can't wait to see more on Somni's colors. Right now I'm torn between the Mint and the Rosy-Lavender.
Can't wait for KittyM to be finished. I'd skip Momonita to wait for KittyM but Momonita's being done in blue so she's a must!

Hi! my first Momonita come to me in a few days

 

Lola said that for the fantasy preorder, Momonita, MiniReita and Somni will be available in Chicle (pink), Mochi (white), Iced (blue) and Gamora (green) colours

 

The fantasy skin pre-order will start on March 15th. I can’t wait but I don’t know which girl in which skin colour I want to order.

 

Which Skin colour did you chose?
I got some trouble deciding if i'm liking Petal or Fresh skin more... at the moment i think Petal would be better for a pastel looking girl... and thought about mochi as too white - but the photo Lola made the faceup is so nice! i really fall in love with mochi white - but i dont think i'm capable of doing a whole body blushing xD

Hard decision to make..

I ordered a Momonita in steel skin with a faceup by Lola (the white star faceup, the one the Mochi skin girl has). Can’t wait!

I've decided to sit this one out. I prefer normal-skinned girls so I'll order a MiniReira during the normal-skin preorder later this year. Or I'll buy one at LDoll ^____^

Thank you a lot - i hoped for you would saying that because i will chose also petal :3 (finally made a decision after talked to another momonita owner with petal skin xD)

 

I ordered a Somni in Gamora skin and a Reira in Mochi skin. I am really excited about them, and I was able to get Lola's face-up option for them as well. I've already got a Starfleet uniform picked out for Gamora, she's going to be my alien girl. Reira I'm not sure about yet, but I couldn't pass her up.

I had a hard time deciding between Momonita and Somni, I especially love Somni‘s youth body. But in the end Momonita‘s cute smiley face won me over.

I would love too see your green alien girl all done in her uniform and all! I love seeing what everyone does with their dolls and all those different styles people go for! ❤️

 

@Felka Momonita is absolutely darling too! I have Momoni so I opted to go with the other 2 that I didn't have sculpts of, although I'm hoping at some point I can get the Nena 02 Reira. And I'll definitely share Somni once she arrives

 

Does someone know how long the processing time usually takes? On the website it says that it takes around two months I think. Is that correct? Thank you for answers in advance!

Aaaah, it’s so hard to be patient and the closing of the pre-order was not even a week ago haha!

 

I was part of the summer preorder and it took about five months for my Momonita to make her way to me... but there were some outside factors that slowed things down a little. For instance, there was political unrest in Catalonia that slowed down the shipments of some of the dolls, mine included, and I ordered a faceup, which probably added about an extra month. The FAQ says 3-4 months, which seems fairly accurate.

I filled up my wait time hunting down the perfect wig and shoes for Essie, so maybe try that?

You are right, might as well fill up the time and work on her look.

 

I read about that, but I'm honestly a bit confused as to why European style "political unrest" would cause any hindrance. Where I'm from, it rains missiles every Tuesday, people get killed in mutual terrorism every Friday, and there's a riot with sharp ammo once a month, not to mention the drive-by shootings in my neighbourhood - and our postal services were never affected by this on the developed side of the wall/fence.

 

I‘m very sorry to hear that @WeLoveGuu, I truly hope you and your family are somewhat safe where you live. But I also think that this is not the right place to discuss such things further.

Can I request some Momonita spam? I would love seeing all your different styled girls!

Lola herself has said that it takes 4 months to dolls arrive to her and if you chose faceup slot, it adds 1-2 months more before the doll ships to you ^^
