@sarahdipitydoll she's cute. I'm in the same dilemma! My girl has a Momoko dress on but I'm not sure on her style so I've not ordered anything yet. She also needs hair!!

I'm also getting rather fed up of not having anything to fit my Nena02 - any sources of clothing would be much appreciated! She's currently wearing a Blythe t-shirt and a pair of minifee shorts which fortunately just fit. Does anyone know if minifee moe shoes are the right size?

Ok so the blue wig was cute but I just wasn't 'bonding'... so I made Nita a new wig last night and I like this look for her MUCH more.

That faceup though. I absolutely adore your girl. What size of wigs do you use for her? I can't seem to find any good size to match my Momonita's head either on etsy or anywhere in the universe, really. RIP.

 

I use a 4-5 stretchy wig cap, which is a little loose so I put a rim of hot glue on the inside to keep it in place And TY!!!

Wig acquired...but it does not stay on well and it a bit funky. I'd also take recommendations of a good place to get a wig.

I've just ordered my wigs for Momonita. I can't wait to get her all put together. I've been playing with her poses and I'm so impressed!

@smudge I was super impressed as well, how well Momonita poses! O.O I just can't keep my hands off of my Mallow :'D I wonder how thick her elastics are? When the time comes to re-string her, sooner or later, I would really like to know that I'm kind of afraid that at some point I need to put her to pieces. Specially the headback makes me anxious, because I have no idea how on earth I'm going to get that small ring out of the head and back.

 

The string is 3-4mm and its so easy to take the headback off just grabbing the ribbon and pulling it up. Also you can use a small pliers

@Lino4ka she's a cutie! I love her blue eyes combined with her gorgeous red curls. I've just bought a toffee version that she had leg from her latest doll show. . Does she fit in Lati yellow sized clothes? She looks about the same size but her bottom appears to be bigger so I wasn't completely sure.

i can't wait for the preorder. does anyone have momonita in petal? i am thinking about which tone to get, i would love to see pictures. also, does anyone know what the difference is in the different face-ups she offers? did you choose the artist's faceups or one of the LE she offers done by other people? did you get the shoes? yay.

 

@vignoche preorder started yesterday ^_^ I've seen someone having a petal Momonita on instagram, but don't know if she/he is registered here. Amd I think someone here has one too? Just go through pages backwards to find out.

My momonita is on color sand and has freckled faceup by Lola. I was tempting to get faceup by rakeru, but decided not to get one. And I didn't get the higheels.

 

I have a petal skin Momonita. There are some pictures on my Instagram (I'm peeriedoll on there too) but they are not in very good lighting, sorry. I got black heels for my girl (as you might see in the photos). They are super cute and I am really glad I got them. I got her blank but this preorder I am planning on ordering a Cocoa Momoni with the Matt faceup. She has pictures of the different faceups in the preorder listings on her website. My Reid's has a face-up by Rakeru Space. A lot of my minifees have face-ups by her. If you want something more individual then I would recommend going for her. My momonita has a face up by Lola (atelier momoni). It's lovely but obv other dolls will also have the same face-up. I got high heels for momonita but actually I don't think she'll wear them much. It might be worth looking at the Nena02 shoes and see if she has them in momonita' size. I got a pair of pink momonita clogs that she had left over from her last doll show and they are perfect.

 

Thanks for the help, @peeriedoll and @smudge . I didn't notice before those images have Lola's faceups! I like the idea of the shoes that already fit and can be painted but her clogs are so sweet. Momonita takes 6mm eyes, right? I am so excited, I am new to the hobby but I think 1/6 mature tinies are my favorites, after about 7 months of browsing. I really like the concept of the independent/artist operated doll shops, too. It's so fun to pour through everyone's photos and dream.

 

i missed momonita last time and am thinking of getting a toffee skinned one this go round. i'm just not sure of how useful the high heels would be. does anyone have the heels and can you tell me how well she stands in them? since she has flat feet, i wasn't sure how they affect her balance.

I ordered the heels with my Momonita. They fit well, but they always fall off (you might want to use putty so it stays on). She stands well with it though

 

thanks. i think i'll order a pair then. i like heels with dresses (for my dolls NOT for me ) but only if they can still stand in them

 

I didn't get the shoes, but I think that the reason she stands so solidly with them, is because her ankles can bend quite far back allowing the feet to get to the right position :O Her ankles have V-shape on the back so the feet bends towards it.

I'm so ludicrously tempted by momonita, it isn't funny... having a summer job at a (play) doll store is not good! Seeing little girls so happy with their pretty new toys makes me jealous! How easy is it to find shoes for momonita, though? I'm not a huge fan of the heels and I can make clothes for her myself, but shoes are a bit beyond my abilities at the moment.

@auntbear my girl is in toffee skin. My momonita is in caramello which is very similar to toffee. I prefer the toffee.

Please check your connection or your home firewall level and permissions.

 

I've ordered from many doll companies and don't recall a lock icon and https being in front of their sites, I just went to check as well. What doll companies have you purchased from that have the lock and https on the site?

When on Atelier Momoni's shop site, the pop-up for me only appears when using Firefox on my Macbook, I don't have the security problems with Safari. I believe Chrome may be fine as well. You would then access Paypal that is https:// secure. I like sending and receiving detailed Paypal invoices as well, so that may be the way to go.

Also Atelier Momoni's webshop had to pass security tests for it to use Paypal as a means of payment.

 

the last doll i ordered was from dream high studio and they have a secure site with the lock and https as soon as you go to the checkout page. the other pages don't need to be secure because you aren't inputting personal data, but should be if you have to put in your address/email/or any passwords. i have ordered from other [doll]sites other sites that weren't secure but when you order you go directly to paypal and don't have to enter any personal info first. paypal sends them the address that is in your account. i was hoping in this case that someone could tell me either how to go directly to paypal or how to find the secure checkout page as i assumed that she must have one of those two options.

 

just a quick note to say that flonne and i were able to sort everything out by pm and she has been extremely helpful. i look forward to ordering /receiving my doll!

 

Oh my goodness! After double-checking my monies, I took the plunge and ordered Momonita in petal. She's such a cute little pixie.

 

I'm seeing that Momonita is in this discussion thread.
I understand that her foot lenght is 3.3cm (33mm) however I would very much like to know how wide her foot is at the widest part.
Would someone please measure the width of her foot.

i got in just under the wire i think, but i put a toffee momonita on layaway. her head is lots smaller, but she has a similar figure to my beloved noble dolls rhubarbe and i just love the shape of her figure and her dainty hands. i'm hoping they can at least share clothes, even if they would look terrible together in pictures.

 

Okay, so since Reira will be headed home as soon as my Paypal transfer ends and I pay my final layaway balance: baby girl needs clothes. I will find her style later because she cannot kick in naked. I will feel so guilty about that. Help?

 

I can't help on the clothes front. I got my momonita in the first release and she still only has one dress, which happens to be a Momoko dress that fits her. I'm hoping that more dress makers will start making clothes for her soon.

I have 6 dresses in that size for my Momonita. There's also a thread somewhere here about clothing that fits for Momonita and Chibbi Lana since they are in the same sizerange.

 

I was wondering : is it possible to put a Nena head on a Momoni(ta) body? I prefer the posability of the Momonita body but sculpt-wise, I like Nena better.

Has anyone tried this?

 

Might work on the bigger Momoni body?
I think that the Nena head would be enormous on the much smaller Momonita body. Lola shared once a comparison pic of them three together on her instagram if I remember right

Nice! Thank you, I will go hunting around for some cute Blythe dresses for Reira.

 

Personally, I don't think Blythe clothes fit Momonita. Or at least you may get them on but they don't fit as such. I collect Blythes and have rather a large wardrobe of clothing. Out of those clothes there are a handful dresses that fit on her but I wouldn't actually get her to wear them because they are far too short and don't look right. You may be able to get a Blythe dress to fit but you may want to consider the following.

If you want to get a dress, look for sleeveless/capped sleeves or one with elasticated sleeves as momonita's hands are wider than Blythe's. look for a long dress. Empire lined tops don't tend to fit because of Momonita's bust - or they'll fit but will ride up high. Shorter Blythe dresses may work as a top.

Tops - full length Blythe tops will come up short on Momonita.

Shorts/trousers - Momonita's but is too large so unless you have something with plenty of stretch, it won't fit.

I'll upload some photos onto Flickr so you can see (Chocchip).

Tuulen has found some Blythe clothes that fit her doll, so there are some out there but I didn't want you to buy clothes only to be disappointed if they didn't fit.

 

Yeah, I've always double checked the measurements of the dresses so I know that they do fit her, just like Lola said that we should do Pullip shirts do fit also, but they tend to be loose fitting.

Oh, and I managed to find the most kindest person ever from our hobbycrew! My Momonita is going to visit her in the fall, so the seamstress can do corsets, pants, fitted skirts and dresses and also shirts and jumpers for her!
She said that if there's enough interest, she could do them for sale for everyone.
Her work can be found on google by searching Jonna Jonzon. She has been sewing years for Monster high, barbies, blythes and pullips! Mostly her outfits have been seen on custom MH dolls and as far as I know I.e xanthi (on ig) uses her dresses ^_^

 

Wow, how exciting. I couldn't access her blog as for some reason I had to log into blogger, but it did throw up some images and her work is amazing. Does she have a fb page?

 

She used to have ig, blog and fb page, but she took them down since she didn't have enough time to regularly upload them.
She was concerned that no one would like to buy clothing from her, since the postal expences are very high from here to America (in example): 35€ without tracking code D:

I remember Jonna Jonzon.'s work on Monster High dolls. I could've sworn she had an Etsy shop. Her work is stunning. It'd be cool if she made outfits for these cuties.

 

I remember too that she used to have it. Now she uses huuto.net website, which is Finish auctionwebsite/ similar to ebay. She said that few of her regular buyers from around the world buys Mh clothing from there from her.

Can't wait for september so I can give my momonita to her for a little trip ^_^

Oh, and did you guys see that momonita sized Nena02 Reira She was so cute! I wish Lola did preorder sometime in the future for it. I'm also hopelessly in love with Somni She is definitely coming home when the preorder is.

@Eiko82 I would love to have Nena in that smaller size! *___* I was wondering that could they be some kind off special sales for conventions? I hope that the preorder for Somni and Nena would happen in the spring and summer and not at the same time, since I know I don't have enough funds for both at the same time even with the layway option

 

Somni is probably my new favourite doll. I'll have to save up for her after I finish layaway payments for Momonita. Also, I discovered today that the local antiques mall has a lot of doll furniture that would be about the right size for them. ^.^
