She's here! I have a photo on Flickr (chocchip) but I have no idea how to upload it here when I'm on my phone. Just wanted to add to this in case any one else is wig shopping. None of my lati yellow wigs fit my Reira so it may be that your's have stretched.
So many pretty girls in this thread! I have to ask, how is the posability on the "bigger" girls? Here's my lovely Melo*, her name is Sushi. I just adore her smile.
I haven't tried anything else on her yet from that range of clothing. Unfortunately I sold the other KID items with the only KID I had a few months back.
I fot Reira in november was very special present from special person and finally I had time to make the faceup so finally she is finish IMG_1940 by yotsuba amai, en Flickr
@Yotsub@ Oh my she looks sweet! @smudge As far as I know, Iplehouse K.I.D clothes fits Nena02 and Dollmore Narsha as well.
May I ask where you got her wig? Its so cute on her and I'm trying to find a wig for my nena ! All the wigs I have at home are a bit big on her .
Thank you so much! I'll take a look at what wigs they have ! By the way, is anyone else super excited about the 2 limited colors Nena02 can be preordered in?? I honestly can't choose. I'm gravitating more towards the blue color but the pink is super cute too T__T !!!
Hi everyone~ I can happily be apart of this thread now! Today I bought myself my first doll of the year and I preordered a Lavender skin Nena02! I'm so happy! Can't wait for all the cuties to ship! I hope to make a box opening video for this girl since she is one of my many grail dolls haha!
Last night I put my Nena02 on layaway! As much as I wanted the Iced Blue skin, I chose the Lavender Pink so she could be onef my characters. I hadn't planned on getting one because she was so out of my price range, but I can't pass her up! Anyone know of clothing and shoes for these beauties?
Hi there @JessiFlakes ~ You're just like me then! Congrats on ordering! I was also having a hard time deciding on the lavender or blue, but ended up going with the lavender pink as well. From my research, these girls can wear yosd shoes and can wear iplehouse kid, chibi unoa, minoruworld jr and anything in this size range. I did find a couple cute things on minoruworld and shoes on etsy! Hope this helps at least a little, I'm still figuring this girl out myself~ - So can we get some more owner pictures in the thread? I'd love to see!
@ten_ten I'll be honest it was super hard... I had originally wanted to go with the mint but the lavender skin drew me in the more I looked at her. I also asked my boyfriend which he preferred and he liked the pink better so I just went with it! I wish I had the funds or I'd get both! Can't wait to see what you choose and sorry for not being too helpful! Just go with your gut and get the one that draws your attention first!
@quietly-stuttered `Thanks! I've been looking for Chibi Unoa clothing, but it's hard to find! Etsy doesn't seem to have much. :/ I guess I'll be doing a lot of sewing once I get her! Although, I do need to find her sneakers! Congrats on your girl! @ten_ten IT's not an easy decision! I wish I could have gotten both! It came down to character for me; I know who she's going to be if she's LAvender, but Blue left too many possibilities open!
Both colours for this preorder are absolutely gorgeous! I love how Reira can look so different depending on the faceup too.
@quietly-stuttered Ya I asked my boyfriend too and he did like the lavender pink better too. I also did like the pink when Lola had pictures on flickr from a while ago too. But then when blue came out I was then torn haha! Shoot, maybe I should draw and think of both possibilities and see where that leads me. Or that will make things more hard haha! Thank you for your help! @JessiFlakes Ah yes, I didn't think of it like that. I'll try thinking of a character and see what happens. I do have some time left to decide ! Next time I post I'll tell everyone what I decide ! Thank you for your help!
I have a melo*. After my finals I should make some time and spend some time with my dolls. They have been unfinished too long now due to me being abroad for a year. I really wanted to get a nena02 but I should not buy anything else until my other two dolls are perfectly finished. I made a wig for my melo* but sadly it widened somehow and it is too big now. I need to fix that. But sth I really have to mention is the incredible poseability of melo*. I am so pleased with that I feel bad that I was not able to spend that much time with her. After my finals I will post some pictures... And @yotsub: I love both your melo* and your nena02. They are so adorable.
I did the mod and it did help a lot thank you for the post. It was fast and easy I would post pic but I'm so confused how to using an URL
Please, don't encourage people to make a mod that doesn't really help or improbe the doll in any aspect. See the pics: [Images removed at the owner's request] Please beware! the doll sits straight by bending the upper torso forward. Some dolls came very tight strung from the factory, you can change the string, hot glue or suede to improve the smooth movement, I do recommend this method. By doing this mod not only you can ruin the body shape but won't make the doll sit straighter. Nena02 already did all those lovely poses (in the last pic) without any modifications. Any Nena02 owner can proof this fact and there are in the social media plenty of pics showing the nice pose-ability. So sorry but won't/can't take responsibility for any modifications. The doll is fine by itself so far. It's not an easy to task to make/modify a doll, tried my best to make a lovely shaped doll with nice pose-ability. I know she is not perfect but keep learning and improving myself so my next doll will be enven better.
I'm quite confused by this post. I'm very new to this hobby so please forgive me if I seem uninformed. First off, I know this person (fitzwig) from IG and know that he did not give you permission to post these images, which I believe is a rule breaker here on this forum. Secondly, and this is where the newness of my knowledge of this hobby comes to play, if the doll belongs to this owner, is it not up to him/her to modify the doll his decision? Or is the doll still considered your "property" even after it has been sold and you have been paid? I have seen many dolls that have been modded drastically, IE: backs being carved out to emulate the ripping off of wings, dolls being stained or painted blue, green, etc. I don't believe the manufacturer contacted these owners to tell them not to mod their dolls. So my question is, if the doll is a "artist creation" is the doll only on "loan" to the people that purchase them and need to be approved by the creator if it is modded? I was under the impression that once I purchase a doll from either a franchise or private party, the ownership of this doll gave me not only the right, but also the privilege to do with it as I see fit. Please clarify this post for me, I am now very confused.
Where does Flonne say the doll is hers and we can't do whatever we want to the doll we buy because it is on loan? She knows better than anyone else about its posing abilities and also how you can damage the doll if you mod it a certain way. Also billy001 said they wanted to post a photo but were confused about how to do so, I can see how Flonne would have thought to be ok and made a mistake, since then she's quickly edited and removed it now. If anyone has questions about AtelierMomoni Dolls, you can contact her, I can't see how her posts aren't just an outreach to make sure no one ruins their doll, of course it has her heart in it, like it has yours in it too, but it cost a lot of money as well. You may not see most BJD companies even giving a crap that you wreck their doll.
But to mod or not to mod, to "wreck" or not to wreck as you put it. Wouldn't that be up to the individual owner to decide? You seem to be getting defensive at me when I was simply asking a question to the creator (of which you advised me to do in your reply) since I am an uninformed noob to this Hobby. I replied to her post, that is indeed directing my question to her, agree? Did I say she said the doll was on loan? No I asked. I prize myself in having a fair command of the English language and at no time did I accuse her of anything. The key word in this obvious debate is "I questioned the legality of ownership" since I only have one doll (hence my name) and need to be made aware of the stipulations when purchasing an "artist doll". There is no need to take offence, especially when my questions were directed to the creator of the sculpt as you mentioned in your reply. Now, maybe you should direct your reply to my obvious question. Do you or do you not have the right to mod or "wreck" your own property even if it is an "Artist Created Sculpt" without ramifications? The owner obviously was having trouble with his purchase and wanted to find a way to rectify the issue he was having. Does this make Her/Him eligible for legal reprimand for doing so? And if so why? Her post said "Please, don't encourage people to make a mod that doesn't really help or improbe the doll in any aspect." (I'm sure she meant improve) His modding his doll DID indeed help the issue he was having and in no way "wrecked" the doll in question. Even if it did, it's his doll. Please don't insert accusations where there are none. This is not a debate, it is a new, uninformed user asking a simply question of the creator of the sculpt in question. If the dolls I purchase by an artist is not mine to do as I see fit, then I will probably not be making an "Artist Creation Doll" purchases any time soon.
If Flonne, the creator and artist behind the Nena 02 body doesn't RECOMMEND the mod then that's good enough for me. After all who knows the construction and anatomy of that doll better than its maker ?
I think in a way I am responsible for all of this modification debate here because I was the first to wrote my thoughts about doing it. I want to apologize my question and the picture I posted. I contacted the artist herself and - as she also wrote above - she did not recommend to do the mod on the legs and I should have corrected my writing about it immediately here, but I honestly forgot to do that. I have now edited my original post and removed all the things about the mod so that no-one would rush into ruin their dolls. My intention was not to encourage anyone and it was more like a question if someone did already tried that. I myself didn`t do the mod and not going to even if it did work, because I probably wouldn´t have the guts to do it anyways. I highly respect the AM artist herself and her dolls, and it makes me feel so bad if I have caused problems to any of you.
Thanks for the pics! As I said the doll poses fine by itself without mod. Of course if anyone want to experiment doing mods it's their choice ~ Thanks for your words! People can modify their own dolls, I think this it obvious! Oh no worries, remember you pming me and we having a nice chat about the side effects of doing the mod! I know she doesn't sit 90c but was something that didn't bothered me cause wanted a lovely curvy shape. Already fixed this in my next doll, but Nena02 will remain as it is. ------ As i said several times, and other owners already proved it with pictures, the doll can make those poses without any modifications. It is so easy to misread my words and use this in a ugly way... Please, if you feel like modifying feel free! This hobby is to have fun and experiment! And of course keep sharing pics! Oh lovely! I was about to ask for the eyes too! ☺️
flonne I absolutely agree- after all that's the nature of these dolls, to mod and adapt as each desires.
@Lino4ka @Flonne Thanks! She's currently wearing some oscar eyes that came from one of the more recent FL Mnf releases. Can't quite remember which one though.
I haven't tried any Bunny Nine tops yet but I did recently try an Iplehouse KID outfit on mine. Its loose in an adorable way. I'll have to take a pic later tonight.
The shirt fits loosely, but its super cute that way. The skirt is a bit bulky and doesn't like to stay on the hips, but I still like it.
My Reira just came home yesterday from AngelToast with her new faceup, thought I'd share here SO in love with her!! I'm still trying to figure out the right name for her.
Hi all, I have utterly fallen in love with Nena❤️ such an adorable doll! I understand size on clothes can be a challenge, something I am not unfamiliar with having owned a Minoruworld Junior. I am actually looking forward to uncover my sewing machine from all the layers of dust;-) But do anyone have a comparison picture of Nena with MNF? And perhaps MW Junior if I am super lucky?
Hi all, Sorry for the doble-posting, this thread is a little quiet. I just looked through the atelier Momoni site, and from what I can see it looks like Nena 02 Reira is an in-stock girl? Is this right? I originally thought she was only a pre-order doll?
