Atelier Momoni "Momoni" 40cm

Hello everyone!! It's been quite some time since I last visited DOA, and almost a year since I bought my first doll. I've been searching hard for a sister for my Souldoll Vito boy, when I recently discovered Momoni. In Toffee, no less! It was love at first sight. ~ I've already preordered one straight from the lovely Lola, along with two Nena02's!! (One in Lavender Pink and one in Ice Blue.)

I'm getting ready to slap down $1800 USD on these three precious finds. @ _ @ Bless layaway.

Needless to say, I'm beyond ecstatic to be alive in the hobby again, even at the expense of my wallet. Especially for Miss Momoni in Toffee!! She's just so perfect!!

 

She's here!!!!! She's going by Blue for now, but we'll see if that sticks. I adore her look and she poses straight out of the box like a rock.

I just took a look at all your Momoni(s) and it's really cool to see all the different faces you gave to your dolls
I bought mine at the LDOLL festival in France last month, she's Toffee skin. Seeing everyone's faceups is so inspiring, can't wait to do the same with my girl!!

 

Congrats on your new girl. I'm so envious that you got to go to the Ldoll festival too.

 

I really want to go to LDoll someday - even just to see everything! I like the teal streak in your girl's wig too.

 

The LDOLL is a really cool event, I went there for the third time this year, it's trully a magical place ^^
I hope one day you'll be abble to go there too.

I just can't stop thinking about Momoni girls. I always go away, and I then I kick myself that I hadn't discovered them by the preorder this year. I love the idea that she can share Minifee clothes. Argh! Now I spend my days scouring the marketplace for a fresh or sand skinned girl haha!

My toffee skin Momoni arrived at the beginning of this year, and it has been complete love with her! From Lola's Instagram, it looks like there might be another Momoni preorder soon! If there is, I will have to consider giving my Toffee girl a twin sister (maybe in Sand....)

I picked up on of Lola's msd dresses from a friend on instagram, and my Momoni (who is named Lola) looks adorable in it!

I have now joined the Momoni fan club. So excited to now have a Momoni in Toffee from the MP. I am
thinking I am more of her first owner as her previous owner had not long received her and done nothing
with her. So now I have to wait for the awful weather to improve so I can give her, her first face-up.
Not sure what colouring to go with yet. Her name is Kiki.

I have added my name to the "Yes Please" list for another pre-order of Momoni in Cocoa skin. So
hoping that may happen after the latest pre-order is all finished??

Lola asked the question on her facebook page. Should she do another pre-order for Cocoa Momoni as she has had lots of emails about it, I emailed her through her web site.

Hello all! I just hopped onto the preorder for a Momoni in Cocoa! I've been waiting for AGES. I saw a Momoni in person and was just blown away at her quality and beauty. I need to start brainstorming a faceup and wig...

Thank goodness for layaway, though, I had just made a big doll order last month!

I wish I had enough money for Momoni! I just ordered Lillycat Poulpy last month, so no new dollies for me in few months.
Maybe someday Lola is having another preorder for Momoni and then I'm able to get one! I got her Momonita from the first preorder and I'm so in love with her and definitely need one in bigger size as well
I was wondering if she's getting new colors for the upcoming preorders, since she got new pantone maps with lots of beautiful colors to choose from?

 

I am also joining the group. I placed an order for a cocoa Momoni. She is going to be my nature/mori styled girl (I'm hoping anyway). Her name will be Sasha, unless that changes which has happened before.

Can anyone with her in cocoa color post a picture of her with a lighter colored wig? Like light brown, maybe a darker cream color? I really like light/dark contrasts. Most pictures I've found she has really dark hair.

Off to see if she has a gallery/database!

There is no database at all for these dolls. Maybe someone who already has theirs can start one? It's one of the first places i check out when I want a doll to see how it looks in different colors and styles. If no one starts one, I will when my girl arrives.

 

It's a sadly lesser known doll, considering how beautiful she is. I did find quite a few pictures on Flickr by searching for Momoni. A couple have cocoas with light hair:

I did look on Flickr and on Tumblr too. I have many wigs at home I can try out on her before I get a better idea on color. She looks good in anything though!

 

Do I understand correctly that these dolls have a face plate system to their head?
If so is the head back attached with a "s" hook?
TIA if someone would take a picture of the inside head after the face plate is removed.

 

Andreja (Nicole's dream) has made wonderful reviewe of Momoni to youtube! You should check it out as well ^_^ And I think that she showed the faceplate system as well, not sure tho.

Can anyone confirm for me if Leeke 6/6.5 wigs fit these girls? There are a few I like but I want to make sure before I order.

I understand that her foot lenght is 5cm (50mm) however I would very much like to know how wide her foot is at the widest part.
Would someone please measure the width of her foot.

Super late on the Atelier Momoni train, but I cannot wait for the next preorder so I can see about getting Momoni in cocoa skin. I love her curves and she's got the perfect body type for a character I want to shell ;u;

 

I hope the ones from the last preorder ship soon. I have a bunch of stuff waiting for my girl to get home! T_T

 

Me tooo ;-; She said the factory sent her a notice that one of the skin tones was about done. She said something about the end of the month, but that's coming pretty fast.

I should really have more stuff ready for when she gets here, actually, shucks.

 

I'm in a different boat, Lola has said that she's ready for another pre-order soon and i'm like "omg" lol.

My wallet may or may not be severely upset at me later if it's early enough i'm not done paying off my other layaway, but I must have a cocoa momoni

 

I can't wait for the fantasy color preorder Momoni in grey would be awesome! But I'm not sure are the normals and tans available this time? She said that in the spring is coming the second preorder for ns ones.

 

I asked her which colours would be available and her answer was "there will be Lavender Pink, Iced Blue, Lilac, Dust grey and Gamora Green" and that she might add a few more if she has enough time.

So I think it's unlikely that she'll include normal or tanned skin tones this time. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE it if she includes some of the normal skin tones but it's more realistic to assume it'll only be fantasy tones this time.

BTW Has Atelier Momoni held fantasy colour preorders before? Judging from some pics online I get the impression that she has but I can't find any official announcement on DOA or her website.

 

I´m hoping on the momoni train... well kinda. I still waiting and saving for the next normal skin preorder. I just need her. I wanted a msd girl for so long (well I had one but I sold her because of her inmobility) but found none I liked till I saw momoni. All the cute clothes I now can get hawwwwwwwwwww

 

The current batch is so close to shipping! I can't wait, aaaaaah!

 

I just gave Sasha her first face up. I have never painted anything this dark before so it was a challenge.

Sadly, I've tried to contact (using her website) but have yet to receive any reply. Is there an email or any other way to reach her ?

 

@Viola I think her website is being redone. She has Tumblr and Facebook accosted under her company name. I'd try going through one of those platforms.

 

Try Facebook, I think that works the best ^^ I use Instagram, but she has stated that everything about sales and stock stuff should be talked on facebook or via email since she uses instagram just for fun and private messages doesn't always show up to her there.

 

Does anyone have a photo of the Momoni tans next to a Lillycat marron glace?
Sometimes the AM cocoa skin looks similar to Lillycat mg, but sometimes it looks darker.
