I recently found a tiny little fairy bench at my local JoAnn's fabrics and had to get it to see how Haruhi would fit on it.

 

Too cute! I love just finding things and then theres the light bulb above the head! "that would be great for my dolls!!" lol I actually found egg cups that look like office chairs xD I had to get 3... Great for my eggs too, but also cute chairs ^^ I'll have to get a photo of Nyrea sitting in 1 xD But until then...

My niece wanted to stage a bunch of photos, so she brought every in-scale toy she could find around her room (and some of mine, too). I have a Cookie , but I don't want to spam the thread with two photos in one reply. It's amazing how a fresh faceup will rejuvenate ideas for dolls, you know? I'm pretty tempted to get them new wigs, however.

 

Cutiepie: i'm glad that you still have Luna! Do you know when she's supposed to come home? I hope you can get a Chocolate back some day~

Hello Faerie_Speak! Cora is very cute! I never cared much for the Soda sculpt, but your little one is adorable! Please feel free to spam pictures. We like pictures here~ hehe.

I made Haruhi a new dress yesterday (and Pearl too)

 

How cute those dresses are! How long did it take to sew them? The little bodices are darling.

I wouldn't let B take the pictures with my camera (it's heavy for her and expensive for me), but I let her set up the shots, and take it with the point and shoot, which was just as good in her opinion. Thus the random amounts of stuff in both pictures. Here's the AE Cookie (named Penelope):



She wants a BJD, just like her older sister still does, and I think the tinies would be fun for her to start with. Penelope is her favorite.

Both AE's are three years old and still pose like a dream. I'm not too big a fan of the default faceups (but I choose hard to match wigs for more default eyebrows), but the molds themselves are fabulous.

 

hehe thanks Faerie_Speak! Ahhh it probably took a couple hours to do both. The most time consuming was doing the ruffle ribbon for Haruhi's straps. ^^

That is super sweet that you let your niece put the pictures/scenes together. Would be really cute I think if they both could get a tiny doll too at some point. ^_^

Msyteriousmage: I will always have Luna! I love her too much to let her go. Luna turns 1 tomorrow! D: Thanks for the reminder by posting Haruhi's, I hope she's back for it, but probably won't be. ^^' I'm oddly bummed about that? x3 I count Luna as my first doll, though Piper, my AE Donut was. Luna was the first one I wanted though. I bought the Donut from one of my best friends, but it didn't feel the same, I NEEDED the Peppermint, haha. She should be home sometime this week though. Her faceup is finished and looks absolutely adorable! Congrats on Haruhi's 1 year! Their dresses are too cute!

Also, we FINALLY got settled in our new house. There were so many problems, and moving from TN to IA was not fun, and not something I'd wanna do again, hehe.

Aww glad to hear that Luna will be home with you this week! Even if it's not tomorrow for her birthday. You can still celebrate with her once she get's home. Looking forward to seeing her new face up!

 

I love it so much! I'm working on a place for my dolls. Luna's room will be the first I'm gonna get done. Also! I looked up her delivery date, just to be sure, and it was TOMORROW! So one more day and Luna will be one! I'm so excited. I can't wait to get her put together (she has a new wig and eyes that came in while she's been gone). Her faceup is so darling. I can't wait to show y'all! :3

 

awww I think making her a room is a good idea! I've wanted to do that for Haruhi and Pearl, but I just dont have the space to make them one right now. You'll have to share pictures of that as well! looking forward to seeing Luna again!

 

Moving is the worst; I've only moved about my tri-county area, I can't imagine moving states away. Ugh.

One nice thing with the 15-16 cm dolls is how much space you can use for them; I'm making a doll diorama for my tinies: bed, night stand, 'walls', pictures, and a dresser. The AE tinies hold up remarkably well. Penelope, the Cookie, is a little loose but she stand and poses so well still. The resin is very durable, but B is ten and handles my dolls very well. I have no problem with her playing with them (of course, she knows she may play with my BJDs, but not someone's else without express permission), and she likes making sets for pictures as much as any of us do. Her birthday is coming up; it would be inconceivable to buy her one.

 

A www, I didn't even think about tiny dolls having little handmade sets, that's so cool.
Ah, I wish I could trust my little half sister with my doll, or any of my old toys. But she's so rough, most of her small toys are broken and scratched beyond recognition.

I don't know if this is the right thread, but I was wondering if anyone d an asleep eidolon cha cha, the adorable little rabbit tiny.

 

I don't, but it looks really cute. B used to be really rough with her toys, but she treats the dolls with a lot of respect.

 

Cha Cha is very cute, however I think that she unfortunately is an off-topic doll due to the fact that she doesn't have knee joints....

Talking about people being careful with dolls, a friend was over yesterday and I left the room for a moment and when I came back she was dressing Luna's body, but she wasn't being gentle! I freaked out! How do you guys handle that? I just told her she needed to be very careful because they are very expensive and I love them. She seemed a little upset, but I also wish she would've asked first I guess? We've talked about the dolls before, and she doesn't seem to care about them much. I may just have to put them up before she comes over or something. ^^' The tinies bodies seem so much more durable and less fragile though, than the larger ones, so maybe I just panicked too much for nothing? Anyways, I'm so hoping Luna's head is back soon!!!! :3

 

It would be much better if she asked before touching your dolls because, as you said, they're expensive even if they are durable. The AE tinies are pretty durable; mine have taken a tumble from beds and the like, but not even a chipped face up.

 

I don't have an AE sadly, but when I saw these dolls for the first time in reality at a local anime convention I was shocked at how big and small they could be, and when they offered to let me hold them, I held them like they're were made of glass. But the other day my friend- (who very kindly accepts my taking to these resin fellows) - grabbed my boy and took off like super man, literally. I trust him since he's my best pal and there was no fear of anything bad happening, but I would never do that to anyone's doll even my brothers.

But I put my doll up far out of reach when my half sister comes over for sure, and other times when I have company and I'm not comfortable trying to explain or justify why I have a doll hahaa. There's nothing wrong with it, men my family and their stereo types sometimes lol.

I hope your friend will have fun dressing them a bit more carefully though. C= I agree about asking for permission before handling or dressing any doll, even if they can take some tumbles lol.

I put Luna in her ducky outfit I got from Mysteriousmage awhile back! It has been too long since I've been able to take all kinds of pictures of her. I'm so glad to have her home and almost all done!

What kind of eyes do y'all have for your darlings? Luna's are currently some Glib acrylics. I don't care for them much. They are 10mm, but seem a little gappy, maybe? Anyways, I'm looking for some vibrant greens eyes, but I haven't found any I really like!

 

Safrindoll acryclics make some beautiful brilliant colours, and they look really realistic. My AE kids still wear their defaults, but I eventually want some safrins for them

 

Oh gosh she is such a darling! Love her new look!!! Haruhi wears Ersa Flora eyes. I have a mixture of Ersa Flora eyes and defaults in my crew~

 

Lubelle, I had some Safrindoll Acrylics for her before. They are really nice. Maybe I'll just stick with them and get some green ones. :3 Thanks!

I actually just got two pairs of Eyeco soft glass eyes for my MSDs. I really like them! I may look into some in 10s for Luna. I dunno! XD This is the hardest part for me - finding the perfect eyes.

 

I love all the spam thats been posted ^^ I'm sorry I dont have the tiny or energy to always comment, but I do always look, and each and ever little resin person looks adorable ^^ But I must say Cutiepie, I love the new Luna and her hat! Sooo cute!

Well since Nyrea is my little travel companion she is to come with me to france tomorrow ^^ But it would appear I have another little resin person who wants to come with us xD Must say Thisbe and Nyrea are becoming firm friends very fast xD

Hopefully I'll have a little gallery of them both when I get back ^^ Though I still have a mini photostory kinda thing with them both involving chocolate coins lol Must find more energy and time! xD

EDIT - oh and there was a question about eyes, Nyrea has some captured in glass eyes I love 'em ^^ all my dolls have CiG except 3 lol

I made Luna a new dress today. It's been awhile, and it was really awesome to spend time with her again. ^^ I also gave her some purple eyes I had. Just to see what they were like. Although I like them more then the glib acrylics I had before, they won't be staying because one of the stems cut me. I think I'll sand it down, but they will be going to my new girl anyways. Luna's new official eyes should be in sometime this week! I'm so excited!

Well it's only fitting that I do as Aeryn (the doll who she's the inner child of xD) has half her clothes made for her when I got her as I run out of money xD And I still use them lol I use to make clothes for my dolls as a child... but all VERY basic lol I still have 1 thing I made when I was 7 as it fits pukipuki lol So... I shall give it a try again! I supose I've just become lazy as everyone else does it better anyway xD And Etsy is amazing ^.^

 

lol I wont disagree that etsy is amazing. and that's so cool that you made clothes for your dolls as a kid!And especially that you have one that'll fit a pukipuki! Ironically my mother tried to teach me how to sew when I was much younger but I didnt have the patience for it. Still dont some days. lol but hard to believe how much I enjoy it now.

 

Despite having four different sculpts here in In-Betwix, it seems that the only one that gets camera time these days is Max! I will need to remedy that soon. In the mean time, Max got to play in the snow today. He helped a new kid make a snow man and taught him how to catch snowflakes on his tongue.

When I was small all I wanted to do was make things! of anything! and ofcourse at a time this included sewing ^^ at first it was pillows and beanie babies (lentils are better this way ) but then it was clothes for barbie and her friends xD Ironically I do enjoy sewing... But I find it hard to find motivation now :< but I always have motivation for shopping lol weird that ;P

I'm considering getting new wigs for Nyrea and the doll shes the inner child of... so have to match, but I've having a hard time with it... Not sure how I'd feel about it... would they be the same after?

 

Trixie is rather shocked by the quietness too but happy to see Nyrea since that means I can now post another picture of Trixie without the dreaded double post!

Trixie got a new bike but she doesn't know how to ride it yet. Instead she's been pushing Piggy around on it since Piggy can't reach the pedals.

It is pretty awesome. Aside from a few weeks home in Canada over the summer, I've been here a year now. Its pretty great to be able to make a living and travel/live abroad at the same time. I even get this awesome month long holiday in February which makes travelling around Asia super easy. And I'm closer to doll/wig/clothing places which is super tempting!

 

Adorable pictures! The B&W pic is super cute. Loving the new Trixie! No new photos of Haruhi. My husband and I actually just moved to China as well about a month ago. Haruhi did make it with me, but I've been so busy teaching that I havent had any time for dollies.
Lubelle, were in China are you? I LOVE the Chinese New Year holiday~ The first time we lived here about 4 years ago we got the whole month off, but with our new job we only get 2 weeks. :P a little bummed about that, but not much we can do. I'm living in southern China, a city called Zhuhai, which is just north of Macau. Looking forward to going to Hong Kong again and trying to find the dolly clothes shops. :3

 

What a small world! I'm living in Tianjin, in a district called Wuqing, right between downtown Tianjin and Beijing. So its easy to get around and visit places. I haven't really been south yet...it must be pretty hot, yes? There are dolly clothes shops in Hong Kong? I knew I needed to go there!

 

haha A small world indeed! Are you at the same place you were last year? It is pretty easy getting around here. Love that! Have you done the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace stuff yet? Yes it is pretty hot down here... I bit too hot for me actually. I'm from Wisconsin and the heat is something I dont like. haha. Aparently there are several dolly shops in Hong Kong! I wasnt into dollies the last time I was here, so I didnt know to look for them, but someone on here created a "Lonely BJD Planet" thing with google maps that shows all the supposed dolly shops in Asia, though that was about 4 years ago. However there are several people in the pages who have made the Hong Kong trip and left links to their blog with picture directions to help anyone find them, so I'm excited. Have you found shops in your area??
