Oh, we've finally reached Part 2 of our thread! Yay! And to share my happiness and more pics of everyone's dearlings, here's my long-missing boy, Ryan! He's back to blonde, but he's still looking for a pair of appropriate blue eyes.



I wonder how come Luna's eyes look so gorgeous but whenever I open Safrindoll's page, I dont feel as attracted to buy the eyes. Can anyone else convince me that their eyes are worthily gorgeous?

Hope you both are doing well. Haruhi got a new dress a while back and because I thought it was a little too short for her, I made a blue underskirt for it. ^^

 

Yup, I love that tshirt xD I have a cuddley gloomy bear, I'll have to get a pic of Nyrea with the bear in that tshirt ^^ Haruhi looks precious ^^ That under skirt looks great It's as if the dress came with it in the first place! Very pretty I'm not too great at sewing, but I discovered a way I could make interesting clothes for tinyies doing something I can do... only made a prototype kinda thing so far, I'll have to photograph it on Nyri (if it fits! I made it for my tiny delf xD)

hehe thanks. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I want to make her a bow yet to go with it all too.
it takes practice to sew things. took me a long time to get really going with it. and still doesnt always turn out right. :P but would love to see what you've got going on so far. Oh! you should take a pic of Nyrea and Nyri together and share!

Sorry for the late reply everyone. Been extremely busy with work + lappy problem so I cant really go online as often as I used to.

Mushoom : Nyrea is looking adventurous as always! Regarding the eyes I'm actually looking for a pair of Urethane eyes as they seem somehow more glossy but they dont have 10mm. Maybe I should check out CiG eyes.

Mysteriousmage : And Haruhi is looking adorable as ever. I agree with Mushoom. The underskirt really looks like it comes together with the outfit. Good job. I have been sewing several outfits for Ryan. Even for this coming Halloween I'm sewing a pumpkin costume for him.

Clochette : I think I might've missed when u first joined the thread. Anyway, nice seeing u here and that gorgeous Serena. May I know where'd u get the hair? I'm actually looking for one as well for Ryan. Wants to give him a wilder looks. XD

my peppermint Dorothy doesn't have a face yet, just like all of my other faceupless kids.. I was hoping to do faceups this summer but no time ç_ç I wonder if I can do them before the good weather ends..

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew how hard these are to dress? Are they compatible with yo-sd clothes? Or are they bigger/smaller? I have a hard time bonding with difficult to dress dolls :S

 

they are lati yellow size, so they're very easy to dress ^^

 

Yup lati yellow or pukifee stuff fit good. Sometimes pants/shorts might be a little tight if it's stiff fabric or doesnt have elastic, but I havent had an issue finding anything for my girl yet.

 

Awww too cute! Age as in character or how long I've had my dolly? lol sorry xD Well both questions... I recieved Nyrea summer 2011 ^^ Her character is difficult to age as shes not a 'real' child, shes the inner child of 1 of my msds (Aeryn) that has materialised herself as her own 'creature'. She can disapear and reappear as she pleases xD

This size is being made by companys more and more as its just so popular! It's smaller then yosd but bigger then pukipuki ^^ 16cm Though in all honesty, I dunno about everyone else but my favorite place to buy clothes and shoes for theses cuties is etsy xD

I want to try making clothes myself, but Sewing doesn't come naturally to me and I cant knit or crochet, however... I make things out of string (braceletts) and it occured to me... sure I can make clothes in the same way... And this is what I got from my first top experiment...

Any thoughts..? and erm... any1 who is interested thats 1,107 knots ^^ I know... I have too much free time xD

Custard is the 1/6 sized AE tinies. the little ones in this thread are the 1/12 AE tinies ^^ Custard is yosd sized Afraid I know nothing else about the 1/6 tinies as I don't own 1 sowwi.

 

yes Custard is Yosd sized I believe. Though all the dolls we're talking about here are 16cm instead of in the 20cm range. ^^;

Oh man, oh man. Look at the cuties! I need to get some pictures of Luna and Lugh. They both need faceups though. Well, Luna has one, but it's coming off a little. Hopefully they will be getting them done soon! I want to try my hand at faceups. Anyone here do their little one's faceup? Was it hard to do on their tiny little head? ^^' I'm quite nervous!

Serena's dress is from the very talented Kirika Dawn The shoes are from ReleaseRain, but I haven't seen them on their site recently. I'm hoping they bring them back because I'd love to get more. Her wig is one of the Shaggies wigs they sell through DDE, before that one she wore a Monique Blossom wig.

RoaKyle, I got my other AE girl, Bug (Cookie) in early 2010, and Serena in early 2011, so I joined the AE thread a while ago. You see me a bunch in the first half of the previous thread, but it's been about a year since I posted last :/. The Pukifees take the lion's share of that size's attention nowadays, unfortunately.

That's very true, Mysteriousmage! I've definitely decided on wanting to try them, but my husband is being an iffy butt because he doesn't want me to use MSC. So I guess until I can find an alternative method, I'm not going to be able to. I told him about the safety measures I would take, but I think he just worries too much! hehehe.

Yea I cant say I blame him with the safety issues with using msc. I never did tell my hubby about it. :P Though I take precautions too. But I think you'd have fun doing it if you can. ^^ but all in all it's good to have a hubby that worries about you.

I've only done 2 faceups and they were on multiheads (a little bigger than pukipuki) and I think they were not bad for being the first time, I only suck at doing eyebrows, I think I'll never learn, blah
anyway you should try and if the result is bad you can try again and again or eventually send them out, I know poeple that do faceups for free because they need some experience :P

So... a question for you all, where do you get wigs for your dolls? 1 of my tinies is having an identity crisis and needs a new wig, but I have no idea where to look or what I'm even looking for O.o

 

I make my wigs usually. x3 I have my eye on a few Doll Heart wigs though, they are sooooo cute! Luna, Lugh, and Echo all have wigs I made. They are faux fur, but I like faux fur. ^^ My RS Ju came with a custom faux fur wig for a Ju, but I'm not sure where it came from. I think it was a seller on here, but I didn't ask the person I bought her from. My DZ Moon came with a Monique fiber wig and I adore it! It's really soft and well made. I don't know much about wigs though, other than the fact I love Doll Heart wigs. Omgggg. I am gonna have to get one for someone. T.T


I also don't know if Doll Heart makes wigs for tinies. I know they do for Yos, but I dunno about smaller!

Haruhi's wig is from Leekworld. It is really nice and stays on well. It is a little heavy on her though because it is so long. But I like her look. ^_^

Mushoom my peppermint's wig is from monstrodesign (and also my realpukis and pukis wigs) but I have bigger wigs from fairyland and luts and they have tiny size too!

I've heard that they are super super backed up at the moment. Like +7months backed up. They apparently dont have enough people... so I cant seem them making any new sculpts anytime soon. Which is a bummer because their dolls are super adorable. :/

aww, Ryan's costume is adorable! And welcome Tommi - yay, for another boy! I miss Max (and Miela too!) - my twins are with my mum, DaisyLady, in Canada while I'm in China working (I only had room for half my dolls, and they get along well with her girls) and she has been lax on the pictures! I'll have to get on her to get more Max in particular, but also more of Miela and her girls Eilidh and Eirwen up here! Its awesome that between the two of us we have half the sculpts!

Guys, a quick question, I'm kinda bored with Ryan's hand, and planning to get another pair of hands from him, but does anyone know whether he can share the same hands as Lati Yellow or maybe Pukifee? I kow AE also has another two pair of hands for their tiny, but as what Mysteriousmage said, theyre +7months behind their order, so I dont want to go and wait like 2-3months just for two pair of tiny hands. (I wish I had bought the one MoC had in stock, but if only they gave the correct information, I would've bought it) *Sigh*So please share ur experiences, or ur knowledge guys!

 

Hey RoaKyle~ I know that Pukifee hands wont work because they are held on with magnets instead of s hooks like our tines are. I'm not sure about the Lati Yellows though....

 

Yeap, as I was researching after I posted my reply (shouldve done it the other way around, lol), I found out that PKF hands are indeed using magnet instead of the S-hook. But LY uses hooks but I wonder if it'll be too small for our kids considering that our kids are stubbier as to compared to LY.

 

Tommi has a pair of LY hands, the WS matches almost perfectly and while they're a tiny bit more slim than the hands he came with, it's not noticable unless you want to pair one LY hand with one AE hand.

 

Lugh&Luna are about to be sent off for faceups! I was going to send them off today, but since the post office is closed, I will have to wait! Tomorrow it is! I'm excited. I've been planning their faceups for awhile. I also slimmed down my collection because we're about to move and I only want tinies, so I only have my AE Peppermints and my DollLove M K 'cause I love her too much.

It's nice to see pictures of all of your darlings! Everyone is super adorable! I miss taking pictures of the twins, but goodness trying to find the time in this crazy semester is hard! We're moving, I'm graduating, lots of senior stuff going on.. Things are finally slowing down with school, though, which is super awesome, haha. Hopefully when they get back I will have more time to take pictures! I also need to make Lugh some clothes, hehe. I'm so excited about them finally being done! ^^'
