This is also why I odered all my fairies via Legenddoll. This also applies to newer dealers, apparently, since Jane's Dolland also offers some otherwise unavailable (on AE Doll's own site) fairies, but not as extensive a selection as Legenddoll.

Hiya just jumping in to ask if anyone knows when/if asleep eidolon has seasonal sales?
I'm in love with Azuki SP but hoping I could get her during an event or promo!

 

@strawberry_parade I wouldn't wait for events, AE never really does discount events. At most they do Promotion where you can buy a second head or something for a reduced price.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned elsewhere, but does anyone know if there’s any jointed hands that fit the 58cm girl Asleep Eidolon (AE-F-58) body? I can never find much discussion on this company

Would anyone happen to have pictures or reviews on asleep eidolon's 68cm boy body? I can't seem to find any, anywhere!

 

So I have two boys on the new 62cm (which is similarly sculpted to the new 68cm I think? Though I believe it was released a few months after) and I really like it. I can try and get some pictures later if you want, although I’m not sure how helpful that would be….

Hopefully someone else chimes in who can help more! I feel like AE boys don’t get spoken about enough (and I LOVE both of mine )

 

Oh that'd be very appreciated! And it's so sad that the AE boys dont get talked about as much. I've been trying to look around to find some owner pics of Alex or Fay and so far have only been able to find one or two (If anyone would like to show off their Alexs and/or Fays? )

 

Does anyone here know if there's any AE resin that matches Switch powder beige? I bought a new Rosetta doll head and the normal resembles it well.

 

AE normal and white peach are both too pink-toned and pale. I have a Xaga hybrid with a white-peach head on a Switch rosy white body, for example.

if AE can use Xaga’s Volks normal resin (and I think they should, since the companies are “sisters”) that’s probably the best bet, but I can’t vouch for the match as I’ve never seen it in person.

 

Yeah I will have to do that probably. Their swatch looked so dark to me but we'll see if that's how it actually is...

 

My body for my switch twin heads finally got to Christina so I'll get to see how right or wrong my color pick was

Sorry for not being more helpful but there's a bunch of unboxings on Bilibili. Every title where you see "二分" means 1/2 scale and it's one of those dolls.

 

I have a Calandra that I got back 2018. I haven't had her out in a while.

@miffimifster Also I hate modern search engines because they change the results they give you based on algorithms, so you can't just link a search and expect the other person to get the same results. On a fresh browser I'm not getting all the ones with "2分" instead of "二分" while on this one I do get all of them (I think it's because it knows I look for BJDs). This search should cover that. Generally these dolls in odd scales are easy to find because they don't make that many, so if you do BJD + company name + 二分 (or 2分) you're surely going to find something. The most common results are for the Spiritdoll 1/2 and 1/1 so they get thrown in as well.
In this case all I can find is Freya but the body should be the same.

My round body came in the mail today and man, it's a good body. She's about as loud as my 72cm Telesthesia boy and my nSID iplehouse girl while posing, but I find the round body's noise more trust inspiring and not an "Are the joints alright there?" type of feeling. Good poser and very aesthetically pleasing.

 

@Haven_Of_Dolls336 do you think you could describe what makes the round body loud? Is it a clicking like the Iplehouse legs? How often does it happen? How heavy does the body feel? Have clothes been difficult because of the hip circumference?

I love the look of the round body and I would be grateful to know more in general about it.

 

Awesome questions, it's loud because there's a lot of joint locks in the hip joints, and I find it helps mine stand steadily. Just means when you make them sit, it's noisier than the rest of my collection. I feel like iplehouse legs (at least my own) is more groaning, but the round body it's much more click-like, it's hard to explain. It doesn't happen when standing, or involuntarily, just if you're switching positions. It's not exactly a con to me personally, just a design quirk.
It's not a heavy body to me, I think in terms of weight, I'd say it's somewhere in the middle. I'm also biased in that I collect bigger bodies and even 75cm boys so I'm not sure if my sense of heavy is normal.
Clothes for me haven't been difficult, but I will say that I have the smaller bust size which fits more 1/3rd girl clothes and I have more often than not put my girl in dresses than things like shorts. The waist size I find more important bc the thin waist can fit SD13 girl clothes like a glove, and my thick waist is a little more challenging, but I threw her in clothes meant for the supia ballerina body, and those hips are bigger than the SD round body.
Overall, a wonderful body I really enjoy, and a fair amount of heads fit it in my collection, just...not the switch heads I wanted to fit without some adjustments.

 

Do you happen to have any pictures of the body with the switch head? I was considering trying the roumian 70cm since the neck circumference would be a better fit for a switch head in powder beige. Does the pearl mia pink match well? Thank you!

 

Pearl mia pink is not a good match at all, I'd get the v normal instead. Both of my switch heads are on the ruan mian body on their profiles if that helps. I can take pics of them without wigs later but I find them kinda big for the body especially shoulder wise

I'm working on making some extra clothes for this humongous doll! So far, I've (mostly) successfully made her a pair of leggings. Just need to adjust the pattern slightly to loosen the ankles.
