Hi everyone I recently purchased a mermaid body in white skin and was hoping to find a head for her. Anyone know what other companies match nicely with AE resin? I would like to change her hands too.
hi everyone. ive been looking to get an ae fay, but i dont like thie body too much, anyone know a good resin match for white or normal?
I have AE dolly.. she's veeery unpopular mold. I think she's really pretty though =c I don't know why , I don't think anybody ever purchased this one.. I really can't see any owner picture of her! I attach picture of her~ -> Well I do have pose restrictment with her sitting and her hands not being able to bend so much. Her legs are good though~ not as appealing as other companies bodies but.. oh well. To answer the questions above..not like I have a good answer but.. I have a luts in normal skin, and they don't fit with AE normal skin so.. I can only give you that kind of information =) LUTS normal skin is a bit orangey compared to AE..AE normal skin is -slightly- more lighter. so I am assuming their white skin is lighter than other companies as well. I don't think it should be too much of a problem to get whites though since they're usually in the same range. But if you do the body a blushing of a lot of orange tones, NS AE can fit lut's normal skin as well. just need to do tricks here and there ^^
I figured this thread could use some love, so... Here's my girl being all ninja-spy-sneaky. Iria_sneaky-1 von Wildcard_Snowy auf Flickr Iria is a Solstice
kpj11, your doll is very beautiful! I also don't quite understand why these dolls aren't more popular. I only found out abiut Asleep Eidolon (and Xagadoll) recently; AE last year, Xagadoll this year. hm... Maybe the long waiting times throw people off?... I'm honestly not sure... And I'm falling in love with their beautiful dolls! But owner pictures are so hard to find... (Thank you very much for yours! ^^) Though I'm getting used to that, it is like all the dolls I decide to buy are a bit unpopular -.-'
Lovely dolls all! Porcelania, for me the wait times have definitely turned me off from ordering any new AE dolls in the future even though they are some of my favorite sculpts. I would love to get Yara Sr., Col, and a body for my Moe head but the last two AE orders I placed took 6+ months to arrive. Unless there is a way to order directly from AE (and this results in a faster order time), I just don't see myself buying from them anytime in the near future. And for a little spam of my own, here is my Jiao Sr. girl, Marin. Not sure if I've shared this pic yet or not!
I've been looking for pictures of AE Dolly - thank you! I think she's gorgeous. Honestly, the long wait does deter me. Nonetheless, I've considered getting a Dolly and Snow together as sisters. We shall see.
Wow, such beautiful dolls everyone. kpj11: Your girl is so beautiful! I love the Dolly sculpt too. I don't understand why she's not more popular either. Here's my Aure (A.K.A. Snow white) I adore her shy, sweet face.
Hello to all! I just purchased a doll off the Marketplace which is NS and an older AE petite SD sized body with Dollmore Blanche Emilia head. I can't wait for her to get here. The lady that I bought her from says that with the head she is about 54cm. Any ideas of what clothes will fit her?
My doll arrived and with some complications she ended up being... well.. amazing. She is an older fairly knicked up and not perfect but I have fallen for her anyways. Here is my AE petite SD sized body with Dollmore Blanche Emilia head whos name is Rebecca.image by Reslie, on Flickr
coconut, your Aure is adorable! I love her big, dark eyes. Reslie, congrats on your new girl, she is quite beautiful! As for me, I sold off one of my more valuable dolls recently and now I'm planning a new trio of AE girls (which of course is totally going against what I said in my last post about not ordering from AE again )! A second Jiao Sr., a Col, and a Moe. Tentative names are Serena, Amy, and Lita. They'll be my big present to myself for (hopefully!) passing my prelims, which should come before February. Given AE's track record on delivery times, I figure I'll be well passed my prelim before my girls even make it to MoC.
My first doll is my Asleep Eidolon 'Coral' and she's such a wonderful little thing. Her expression is pretty and delicate, her face-up is subtle and well-done, and she's extremely durable. I don't store my dolls in boxes (because then you'd never get to see them!) - they live on my desk. Occasionally, the cat will walk by and knock things over - including poor Tasha. She's now four or five years old and fallen from various heights (some alarming, some not so much) and she hasn't so much as chipped. AE has an incredibly sturdy resin and I would recommend them any day ^^
Littlegrey- I really like the dark hair and eyes! She has some mystery about her. Skipper- How pretty. I love the flowers in the background. She seems so content.
Hello AE people! This is my first time posting in this thread as I've just received my AE body a few days ago. (For a DiM head OT for this thread.) I thought here would be the best place to ask some questions… I hope you can help! The body is an SD girl with thigh joints - one of the newer ones (seller received this year). The hands and feet don't hold position at all. They just snap right back into their original static, straight on position. This is a real issue especially with the feet. She needs to wear 100% flat shoes - not even ones with a few millimetre sole - not heel - sole, or else she absolutely can't stand. I was wondering who else has encountered this and if there was anything you could advise me to do to fix the problem? Thanks SO much in advance!!
I have a AE Yara Sr I got a couple of weeks ago. I got her 2nd hand but the person I bought her from had just received her from AE. She is gorgeous! I think AE makes some of the most beautiful dolls but the wait time is really putting me off from buying directly from them or through MOC. Can we in the US order from the Hong Kong dealer? Someone on this thread ordered from them and got their order in a little over a month. I hate the fact that MOC only puts orders in every few months. How is it that the Hong Kong dealer can get an order in less than 2 months when MOC says 18-40 weeks and that isn't counting the time you have to wait for MOC to actually put the order in to AE. They only submit orders every 3-4 months.
blackdahlia, my understanding is that MoC submits a batch of orders to AE at any one time (i.e. all the AE orders placed with MoC prior to the order placement date with AE). So, AE has to fulfill ALL the orders in the batch before they ship any dolls back to MoC, thus the extended wait time. Even if you only ordered a head, you still have to wait for the full dolls and fullset limited orders to be completed before your order gets shipped back to MoC. The Hong Kong dealer may either submit smaller order batches or individual orders to AE. Thus, you would be waiting on fewer orders to be fulfilled before you get yours. All in all, though, 6 months still seems pretty heinous even for a larger batch of orders. Of course, I have no idea how many orders each period MoC receives.
Alright, here is my AE King His name is Yuu. I don't really like AE male body cause it has no any muscles and his stomack looks like he really likes to eat XD Oh yeah, and his arms got yellow despite of permanent sitting in a long-sleeved shirt. But I actually think he's awesome so I'm ready to forgive him everything about his body lol He's adorable. by Simiram, on Flickr
Hi! I'm adding my two cents in here to say I ordered a Merman Sachiel from Legenddoll. A merman bjd in general has been a sacred grail doll of mine for many years and finally AE makes one who is so handsome!!!
i just popped in to show you my AE COL....her name is Wren http://www.codename-croft.com/dolls/wrenoct1a.jpg
O.o They might write you back that he's no longer produced. It was a limited run. If they DO accept your order, please let me know. A friend of mine would also love to get this one.
Hi Snowy, they did write back to say that Sachiel was in production- so they have accepted my order. I hope your friend can still get him! (maybe have your friend send them an email before they place their order?)
I adore my Xun. Asleep Eidolon really made a sturdy, reliable body! He's a great poser and has wonderful presence c: [/IMG]
I'm really interested in finding more about Legenddoll too. I really want an Asleep Eidolon Snow now. Can anyone shed any light on their experience through this website and what the Asleep Eidolon waiting times are like since I've been hearing of doll owners waiting up to 9 months for a doll? :S
8 months? Oh my goshness I don't think I can wait that long. I waited 2 months for a doll and I was about to tear my hair out! You guys are so patient @_@
Hi there again~ Here is dressing up Yuu x3 This photo was kinda spontangeous o_o dressin' up by Simiram, on Flickr
According to Venetica, she ordered her Asleep Eidolon mermaid girl in Legenddoll and yes it is legit I am thinking of ordering there someday
Anyone here have a Asleep Eidolon Vanessa? Would love to see some owner pictures of her. She's gorgeous! ^^
I ordered a Vanessa at the beginning of April. I believe she is a newer mold so she probably isn't out and around yet for owner pics, but I will post some when I receive her.
I'm looking into ordering a 1/6 cordelia human from mint on card but it says the pre-order period is 18-40 weeks(!) I want to see if it'll be faster if I order them directly but I don't read chinese does it really take that long? does anyone have experience with ordering form mint on card for the pre-order?
It is a long wait, though it varies. Like I ordered a 1/3 Crystal Mermaid, it took over a year to get her and then I ordered a 1/6 Cordelia mermaid, the mature version and she made it home within 5 months.
I contacted AE directly from their website to see if I can get it sooner... even 5 month is a long time for me, I don't think I can wait that long I've read on their website (google translate) that their production time is 30 days if I'm not mistaken, so hopefully there's a way to get them sooner through their website. fingers crossed x.x
For those who have multiple AE dolls in NS, and received them at different times, would you say that the resin has varied a lot or that it's been consistent? I have a Maggie body, but I have fallen out of love with the sculpt, and am considering purchasing a Custard head in NS to go on her body, but I don't know if the resin will match. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My 2011 NS AE girl matched Fairyland normal (i.e. it was a darker, more yellow tone). My 2013 NS AE girl was noticeably pinker and paler (almost white skin). Closer to Luts current normal skin. Definitely not the same tone between the 2011 and 2013 batch. Haven't ordered a doll from AE since, so I can't speak for the current resin formula.
I LOVE all of the sculpts from Asleep Eidolon, but my favorites are the SD-size ones. I also love how beautifully they go together. For example, the Evan and Dolly sculpts...I have those two as my husband and wife pair in my "clan", and the way they look with each other is enough to bring some people to tears! There is, however, one thing I DON'T like. Sometimes these beautiful creatures are strung WAY too tight.
@AlloraLangLeBeau What a lovely couple They look so adorable together >u< If it's alright, may I request more pictures of Evan? He's been in my wishlist forever, I just can't find any owner pics of him;;;;
Oh wow, thanks so much What a gorgeous boy, he has such a lovely profile He looks so serious reading db xD
Arise, thread, arise! Sharing my Jiao Sr./Luts BDF hybrid. I wonder when MoC will start stocking AE dolls? I hope they plan on stocking quite a few different molds at a time. I'd be much more tempted to pick up a Col and Yara if I didn't have to suffer through that 6 month pre-order period...
Oh gosh @Kimchi your doll is absolutely stunning! I have such a weakness for pink hair. And that dress is gorgeous! I hope one day I could have an AE doll too
Thank you, @Shinoa ! I hope you can pick up an AE, too - there needs to be more of these lovelies around! Is there any sculpt you are eyeing in particular?
I'm torn between Solstice and Settla, but you're right, it'd be really cool if Mint on Card had them in stock. I wish I could find owner pictures pf Settla, though, as it may be that I just like her faceup.
Oh goodness, the Snow sculpt is my absolute grail, I've never seen a lovelier girl! But I'm pretty new to the hobby and when I bought my first doll I promised myself I'd limit myself to just the one
Yeah, that's what we all say when we start out... I said the same thing six years ago and now I have around 20. Snow is beautiful, especially with her slightly parted lips. Her closed-eye version, Drizzle, is also stunning. I think so many of the AE sculpts are special! I just wish their wait times weren't so heinous so I could have acquired more over the years.
20 dolls that's quite a family. I've heard about these wait times, I thought I was dying just waiting the month and a half for my Luts doll. And I see that AE and Luts seem to have pretty compatible resin based on your Jiao Sr
Yes, I'm just grateful that I can still squeeze them all into one display cabinet. When I move to a bigger place one of the first things on my list is a second cabinet so I can space them out (and, you know, have room for new ones ). Well, specifically, Luts matches the 2012 and 2013 AE resin (which is when I got my last AE). I don't know if AE has changed its NS formula since then because I started looking into other companies with shorter wait times after that. It's actually funny thinking about when I got my Jiao Sr. She's gone through so many looks (and names!) over the years. When she first arrived, she had the company faceup and was casual style with black hair (see below!) Then she was mori with a very vibrant faceup and auburn hair, then a lavender ballerina with a soft faceup and pink hair, and now finally a strawberry blonde jelly fish! She went through a series of eyes, too, but in the end she went back to her original black, marble eyes. Haha, I've been thinking lately I should put together some photo series showing how my oldest dolls have changed over the years.
