She's so beautiful! Love her make up so much.

 

On the MintonCard store site, they note that the bodies on the SD boys have changed from a three-part body to a two-part. (The joint at the stomach has been removed, and only the chest joint remains.) Don't know if the whole body has been re-sculpted, but MintonCard will have new photos of the body up next week.

(BTW FairEmma, I have Xun on layaway at MOC. I just couldn't resist him!)

 

I definately can't wait to see the new pics of the SD body, I may consider Xun in the future.

I guess I'm new to the Asleep Eidolon community. I'm eyeing He at the moment and I've been wanting to get him for a long time now. And then come to find out that AE just released a new boy, Alex, My list just keeps on getting longer and longer.

 

I'm thinking about getting just the head of Evan and make him a girl, but I don't want the AE girl body. Has anyone ever matched an AE head with the body of another company and can tell me if it fit? Also it seems that the sizes of female necks are usually smaller than the male ones, so I'm a bit troubled if it would work at all...

 

Nachtmahr: Well, I plan to hybridize an AE Jiao Sr head with a Two.S.Doll body in the future. However, knowing how long the wait times for AE dolls are, my hybrid probably won't be done until the fall.>_< Still, I could post how it turns out?

Also, I'd think fitting a head with a larger neck hole on a smaller neck would be easier than the other way around. All you'd need to do is line the neck hole with enough epoxy so that it fits the neck.

 

I'm thinking about getting a WS Rita boy in the future! He is just too cute. And I worry they might discontinue him if I don't get 'im quick.

Probably this is an stupid question, someone knows if it´s possible to buy heads only in the AE store in TaoBao?, I want a Yara Senior head, but MoC doesn´t ships to my country (Spain), and since there aren´t any others dealers of this company, I must go directly with the chinese store...

I really want to get my hands on Knox or Alex. And for girls I really want either Miriam, Solstice or Mignon. It's truly hard to decide which one I like most because all the sculpts are beautiful. >.<

 

I agree, Mochistar! AE does have beautiful sculpts! All the dolls you have mentioned are gorgeous! You can't go wrong with any of them! *...decisions...descisions...!* Though, I've been eyeing Solstice for a possible next girl. She's really sweet looking.

 

I have had my Solstice at home for a few days now and I'm totally loving her. I can't stop looking at her! Much to my younger brother's dismay (who is staying with me for the summer) I keep carrying her around and sitting with her. The resin is super smooth and the seams were sanded. I can't stop touching her legs which I know, sounds so icky and perverted. I have posted a few times already and I'm adding the links for more love:

Tessalina, your Solstice is adorable! I love the outfit and wig on her..I saw your box opening and body review. It's too bad the body has a few flaws but nevertheless, we still love Solstice. ^^ I'm pretty sure I'll be getting her after my other boy arrives.

 

Mochistar Thanks a lot. I love her to bits and I'm really happy I took a chance on her scult. It was a bit of a gamble considering there aren't any owner pics out on the web. (Until now that is... muahahaha!)
I don't totally mind the knees considering I'm not going to get a replacement. It's just that when you pay a pretty penny for something surprises are the last thing you want. I'm actually thinking that if that new FairyLand SD is released I want to buy her body for Solstice. Hmm... plans. haha

 

Just checked MoC and they added new 1/3 dolls! They look gorgeous and now I think I really want a Glen.

 

I got my Kina about a week ago. She came while I was in Scotland, so I didn't bother with a box opening. I was soooo jetlagged when I came back, but I wanted to see what she looked like anyway. I got her blank, and I haven't gotten the courage up to do a faceup on her....She's gorgeous, though. Even blank!

I really like EvanXDDD, I will plan to order him from TAO BAO ,but I'm worry about clothing for him after I knowing that his body is narrow than normal SD boy.
Does everyone have the measurement of AE 1/3 boy body? and I'd like to know about normal SD size shoes fit him or not?? Thank you!!!

 

I have never been a follower of Asleep Eidolon, but I have fallen in love with their Glen boy. Though I am surprised that lot of the boy sculpts are not that popular. I want to see more Glenn and Eric, and I really dislike their bodies. > <

 

I think AE is under evaluated company, may be it's all because it is hard to submit and receive an order from them fast enough. But over all, when I look for AE, I only read great compliments

 

Yes that's one issue that I saw. I really hate that it might take over 20 weeks, based on MintonCard's info. I also looked around and saw other dealers for AE, but I was scared they might be scammers.

 

Hitomifrens .. I got a confirmation from MOC that a HK dealer is an official dealer : http://aedoll.blogspot.com/ .. but I should say I made my order, and it is hard to communicate with them. 0 communication and I am fighting my worries ! I already asked them to confirm payment + few questions = no answer since last Sunday And that is not good in my opinion.

I hate delays & no communication in business. For me, this effects if I want to order again. I already contact them yesterday and I hope they will replay. They used to replay on my questions fast and in time manner, but since I made my order, my questions seem to be ignored ... which really annoys me to bits !

Some people function this way, I am aware of that. I experienced real delays in answers from few asian companies but I am not enjoying the experience at all. I think if it was an official website at least, like MOC, I would have less worries. In all, I only have to pray I will get my doll shipped in 30 days as they informed me.

 

I don't think it's connected with your order. I wrote a letter to them and there is no answer since last Monday. Also, their blogs (on yahoo too) have not updated since the beginning of the month. And there are new dolls already on the official site. I guess, they have problems or something...

Still, waiting for their response. Ordering from Mint on Card is way too expensive for me...

 

KagamiShinigami I got a replay from them yesterday and It appears it is only a one person running the business so it will take time until she communicate back >3< - MOC informed me this -

Well after I didn't hear from her for a week, I contacted MOC to see if they have any communication with the HK dealer and if they can know if they submitted any orders to AE company. She already informed me yesterday in her replay that she will submit the order today.

I just hope that she will adhere to the time-line she gave me *the 35 days for your order to be ready* .. I don't want any delay of 3 - 6 months as some ppl experienced with some dealers

It looks like the average sized SD shoe will fit him (his feet are about the same size as my Impl boys feet, and I never have a problem finding shoes for them) Just be sure to check the inner foot length of any shoe you're interested in purchasing, and you should be alright

I have problems finding shoes for my Impldoll girl. But I have AE King and he is slimmer than my Delfs and others, but that's ok. If push comes to shove, I'll buy him a belt for the pants!

That HK dealer is great . just it lacks communication and delay in replay when she says she will return to me tomorrow or next day. Or there is a chance it is my yahoo mail not receiving anything. She informed me she replayed me several times but certain mails with photos won't come to my inbox when she said she did.

My lovely dolls arrived on September 25th !

I wasn't sure they will ever arrive but contacting MOC again, they told me to relax since this dealer is working alone and she might take long time to communicate with me.

I just ordered the mermaid Crystal from Mint on Card, and it seems that she doesn't come with eyes or a wig. Can anyone tell me what size wig AE's 1/3 dolls wear? According to her measurements, it could be either a 8-9 or a 9-10, and I'd like to be sure before I buy one for her.

I've got a new type boy body on the way, and I'm concerned that neither of the heads I want will work!

Souldoll resin is a match, if my research is right. But I don't know whether to go for a the tiny female head, Hye, or the massive male head, Kanguk.

Does anyone have any idea if either would even fit??

Or, if there's another company's heads which would work? Volks possibly?

I'm bumping this thread with a question. I've asked this elsewhere but it seems not too many people seem to know much about these dolls. I want to get a WS SD boy AE head and I am looking for a body to put it on because I am not to fond of the AE body. I am considering an Fdoll body as the resin match is close and the soft features fit the character.

However, the AE neck circumference is an unusual size. Most SD boys are either 9 cm or 10 cm, not the reported 9.7 of the AE heads. Does anyone have an AE SD boy head on another body they can show me pictures of? How does the head fit on the body?

 

So I plan on ordering a Human Edition Lorelei. I love her face and her overall look but I know nothing about Asleep Eidolon dolls. I've never seen one in person nor do I know anyone who owns one so I figured I'd ask a few things before I order.
1. What is the resin like? Similar to BBB or RS or more like DoD, Iplehouse?
2. Posing? Good or bad?
3. Clothing? Are they hard to fit or fairly easy?

Hi, roguegirl9929! AE Resin is very nice, and it seems sturdy to me. However, my Kina is a terrible poser! I don't know if the new bodies would be any better. As for clothing, MoC sells stuff that will fit, but my dolls tend to just sit around naked, anyway.

Just one more thing: the headcap for these dolls is not attached by a magnet! It twists on. It can be a little annoying, but it works.

Does anyone here have a Lynn (Girl)? I was inlove with her at first sight, I'm a sucker for open mouth molds. Would anyone here happen to know if boy heads will fit the AE body?

Specifically, what I want to do is put the Evan head on the 60cm girl body to shell a character who is rather adrogynous. Most girl sculpts are way too femine for hwer, but I think Evan is "in-between" enough to work. Now there's just the problem of whether or not that head will fit on the female 1/3 body. Any help is much appreciated.

@ Haiiro, I checked some measurements at MoC. There is a 1cm difference in the head circumference between boys and girls, and a 1cm difference in shoulder width. That's all I can tell you right now. I only have one AE doll, so I can't help very much otherwise.

Recently bought a serafuku for my girl. She looks so cute in it, even without any shoes! Makes me wish I could figure out what to do with her faceup....

 

Thank you for the measurement information! That does help a bit. Maybe I'll e-mail mint on card and see if they can tell me just how weird it would look due to the differences in head sizes/body sizes.

 

Is there much of a difference between white skin and normal skin? From the photos it doesn't seem like there is much difference between the two.

Is their resin smooth or toothy?

Does it tend to age well?I know thats subjective based on environment and treatment of the doll,but are they known for having dolls that yellow terribly?

KittenINAbox, I don't know about the NS/WS comparison, but I think I can answer your other questions. AE's resin is nice and smooth, and my Kina hasn't yellowed noticeably since I got her last August. Does that help? I'm not sure how fast most dolls yellow anyway...
