Over the past few years I've had a slow but steady trickle of minis and tinies joining my collection, but this is my first new 1/3 scale doll in almost 10 years!! It's been a long while since I shared a box opening too, but A) I'm extra excited since it was a longish wait (5 months from order to ship... not my longest wait by far, but long compared to my last few doll purchase which had wait times ranging from same-day to 3 months) and B) both the packaging and the doll body seem pretty exceptional and worth sharing. Onward! First, basic stats. I ordered... Asleep Eidolon 1/3 Ruan Mian body with small bust, thick waist, and special legs in White Peach anti-UV resin 1/3 Ding Dang normal and wink heads 2 extra pairs of hands Heel feet 1/12 scale 3D-printed bonus doll (LE offer at the time I was ordering) - You Xi sculpt I ordered via LegendDoll, and Erica was very helpful and responsive - for example, I wanted the Ding Dang head on the Ruan Mian body (a combination not currently listed on the LegendDoll site), so she directed what to order and where to make notes. Outer packaging (not sure why it got a battery sticker): This was by far the most carefully and thoroughly packed doll I've ever seen: the doll box was wrapped in paper and then plastic before going in the shipping box, which was then bubble wrapped, covered in plastic again, and taped with corner protectors! (My partner agreed that the only other package he had ever seen packed so carefully was a high-end computer tower!) Bonus doll! (Amidst equally thorough inner packaging.) Even came in a tiny hard-sided travel case. The print quality is fantastic. (Sorry for slightly blurry photos-- my phone autofocus gets confused by unpainted resin.) All the bits. Hands and feet were all securely wrapped, and the spare head was padded and covered with a face protector despite being unpainted. Thoughtfully included two matching pairs of eyes (for the two heads) and extra hand/foot hooks. Just before my order shipped Erica asked if I would want to add another pair of hands at a discounted price (an "F" sculpt outside the usual A-E hand options--kind of a relaxed-open or loose-grip pose); I don't know what the story is with this mystery hand sculpt, but I'm guessing that it was leftover/extra from another order or maybe a promo of some kind and since it was the right color and size for my order it was a good chance for them to offload some spare parts. Anyway, since I was assured that the extra hands were already there and therefore wouldn't delay shipping, I decided to take it, so I ended up with 3 extra pairs of hands instead of 2. The main event! Incredibly well packed, of course. Look at that smile! And those cute thighs! (First order of business will be making her some thigh-high stockings.) This body is the most solid poser I've ever held. Came with KIPS in her neck, shoulders, and ankles, every other joint except her wrists has sculpted notches to keep poses locked, and the elbow beans are split to allow rotation. Stands like a rock (but couldn't quite manage a true 1-foot balance because she is hefty and doesn't have large feet). That's better! Temporary gear from the stash, but I might stick with these eyes. (Luckily I have other micro-dolls so I happened to have a selection of 4mm eyes and a tiny dress for the little one to use.) Her name is Cecilia.
Thanks! And yeah I think these two are going to stay a pair. The little one is going to be her shoulder angel, or fairy familiar, or something like that.
They are so cute! I am also planning on buying both in the future. I really like their face sculpts, love seeing your pictures of them
