Here is a new pic of Nashira~ Finished her 3 piece green set. The necklace is a "lariat" style, and can be worn a bunch of different ways.

Oh Hi! I also saw Miyukisetsu's Chloe on tumblr the same time as ImpishParody did (in fact, I was the one that pointed her in the general direction). And after looking at the sculpts, I certainly need Mia, Ella and Chloe.
I do have a question - I have some money in my paypal account that would cover a good chunk of paying for a Mia, however I can't figure out how layaway works on there. Could someone explain how it does?

I know they do offer it, I've seen it on their Q&A. Though it seems like me and Impish will be ordering together on Tuesday if she passes her driving test (we've been friends god knows how many years now!)

You guys gotta let us know when you make your orders and who you purchase! Are you thinking NS, WS, or LBS? I haven't seen many WS girls...and I think that may be because the official pictures aren't (again!) very flattering. >_< The face up makes it look like it's not a very pretty shade. LOL

 

I'm leaning towards light tan for Mia, normal for Chloe and maybe light tan or normal for Ella depending on how I like either colour. I have one while skin doll already and while it's a nice white, I don't have any characters that match. Mia is going to be called Sara, I know that one though.

Mia will be large bust probably, and will be ordered on Tuesday even if Impish doesn't pass her test (I just hope that I don't have to move before she gets here!)

 

When are you moving? My girl took a month to the day to arrive at my home from when I paid for her...I dunno how long customs keeps things in the UK so it might add on a few days. I bet you'll get her before then.

 

We've currently been told August, so working it out, even if I did order on tuesday, she would be here late June/early July even if she is caught by customs.
And from what I gather, she'll be the same size as my non-slim MSDs, though I'm interested in the size difference between the Aquarius dolls and the Minifees - or any other MSDs that are classed as Slim-mini, and even those that are more "normal" sized (I have both slim-mini and normal sized MSDs)

I've just put in a question to Aquarius Doll asking if they'll let me have Ruby's Face Up A, with the B eyebrow shape on Chloe xDD No colour change this time - let's see what they say

 

That is very good to know AnimeThemed as all but 2 of my MSDs are slim-mini, so I have a lot of clothing that will fit (even if none will actually suit the character I have in mind)

 

Animethemed UGH I want Mako to release 10mm so bad. If you're right, that'd be WONDERFUL. I like Maya's current eyes but I'd love some Mako ones for her considering that's what I'll be buying for my next doll. That's fun to hear about the camera too...which one are you buying?! Make sure you try looking on Amazon for the body and lens separately as opposed to buying a kit...it's much cheaper. XD I got my DSLR for $350 because of that!

Kerantli You should definitely have your girl before you move. There's no way it'd take that long for her to get to you. XD

I have, I have! They're letting me do it! Not sure if it was not changing any colours, or including a reference image like Cherriwon suggested, but whatever it was it worked!!

I'd also love Mako eyes in smaller sizes! My JID Isar would look great with them, but she needs 10mm. I'd have to to see some in person, but the photos always show great quality!

 

Animethemed Yea they said they'll be offering other sizes at some point...I hope it's soon. ;3; If you have a pair of 12mm you should totally put them in her head and take pictures. XD

That's good about the camera! I have a friend who didn't take my advice and ended up spending 700 for a camera he could have gotten for 500 or less. He instead listened to a friend of ours who's only DSLR knowledge was from working at Best Buy...=____=; When will you be ordering the camera?! That's so exciting >3<

I have now decided to sell two of my girls I'm not bonding with, so I'm gonna get a Chloe and a Souldoll instead! I still can't decide between tan and normal skin though&#8230; I was very relieved to hear that the resin doesn't seem to bleach very fast! I'm really liking the tan but I'm scared she will look very "off" beside all of my other very pale girls&#8230; What do you guys think? Will it look strange with 6 pale girls and one tan?

I don't think it'd look off...it'd make her look unique! I'm actually getting a WS girl here soon, so they'll look different and I love that! >3< And the AQD tan isn't super dark so I think she'll look perfect with your other girls.

Yes I like that it's tan but not too dark! Like you I'm thinking about getting a white skinned one (The souldoll) and perhaps you're right - hopefully it will just add dimension to the group!!
I got a few Leeke wigs delivered the other day though and I had ordered a dark burgundy wig and it looked really off beside my also very light haired dolls&#8230; i was so disappointed and will sell the wig because I have no use for it now&#8230; So I'm guessing thats what made me worry&#8230; I mean if a wig looked off, what would a complete doll do&#8230; But I do want some variation in my very pastel colored family! I just have to find the right way to do it, so they will still look good together! =)

Edit: I think I will get a Leeke lavender rose wig for her to "pastel" her up and blend her in with her blond, white, ginger and pink sisters ;-)

 

That would be really nice if they release 10mms. I'm still trying to find some eyes for Nashira. I may just have to stick with these acrylics until I can buy something better:/

sarisen, I doubt she'll look 'off'. All of my other dolls are WS or NS, besides a dyed one, and it's nice to have a blend of skin tones. (In my opinion anyway hehe)
And you're welcome! I think they really only apply that to the tattoo area, but it's been said to work really well.

Oooh, those wigs sound really nice! Would it fit an AQdoll? (6-7) It may end up looking nice on one of your new ladies~

I didn't even think of the wig size! My other msd girls all wear 6-6,5" Leeke wigs - will that be too big/small you think?
Have any of you tried a Leeke wig on a Aquarius doll? Did it fit?

sarisen, I think that wig size will fit just fine. Miyu has a light blue Leeke wig I think, if you browse back through the thread a little bit. It looked great on her doll!
That wig in the lavender rose color is gunna be awesome! Can't wait to see~

I think I'm going to re-do Maya's face up on Monday...her chin is rubbing a bit and there are parts I'd like to do differently. I'm gonna keep her eyes and stuff dark though - I like that. >3<

I have two days to narrow my options down between Mia and Ella. I'm in love with both of them, but I can only get one.
Mia would be Sara - a character I've had years with minimal development, but room for improvement.
Ella would be Claire - the girlfriend of my RS Mei - a brand new character that I'm not too sure on just yet.

Does anyone have a Mia or an Ella

 

Don't own Ella or Mia (obviously :P) but I'd go for the character you have most developed. That way you know virtually what you want to do with the doll and can start preparing her style - wigs, eyes, clothes etc. Rather than getting a doll as a blank character shell and risking not bonding with her because you're unsure of what to do. Just my 2 cents

 

See, that is my problem, I'm attached to both characters. At this point I'm starting to think "oh forget it" with them two and go for a totally different sculpt. Even though I know that that is the wrong choice. Gah! The bjd hobby isn't the one for me some days with all this choice! I'll figure it out though, even if I annoy everyone

I posted my options on Facebook (where I annoy all my FB friends with doll pictures, even the ones that find them creepy), and I had 3 people "vote" for Ella, and 4 for Mia (and my Mr prefers Mia over Ella, but not by much). So I probably will still go for Mia (and maybe find out that she doesn't WANT to be Sara, and be back at square one )

Edit - make that 5 for Mia

The tan skin is WONDERFUL AMAZING MARVELOUS STUPENDOUS so I think you'll be happy once she's arrived!

I saw a great tutorial here on the forum yesterday about making eyes yourself and I think I'm gonna try it! They used nails acrylics and since I'm a nail tech I just have to try it! =) I also changed my wig plans&#8230; I ended up ordering a baby brown wig from Leeke and a loose lavender rose hair piece - my plan is to fuse them together to get a natural look with a purple ombre&#8230; =)

We're both in the same confused state Sarisen. I've just ordered mine and Impish's dolls and I saw no paypal link, and had no email through.

Also, I did get Mia in Tan skin with no faceup. She will be my next victi- I mean, the next doll to go through my shaky eyeliner application..

Edit - I figured it out! There is a link at the bottom of the order confirmation page (where it says it'll email you the details), that takes you to paypal. It says something about credit card, and is a picture link
