Hello guys! Chanced upon April Story a few days back and fell in love with Stella (Christ, she looks like a grown up version of the Luts KDF Kiwi) (to me at least) but I haven't seen much owner pictures of her TT So if anyone has any photos of their Stella, could I request some spam?

 

Stella is a recent release. I don't think anyone has one yet.

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone here has an April story girl or boy and a spiritdoll proud girl? Just looking for some comparisons

 

has anyone buy april story senior body and match it with Soom super geam head normal skin? are they match?

 

April Story is suppose to be a good match for Switch - so a Volks skin match. Is Soom normal skin a match for Volks skin? I thought Soom was much more pink?

 

I have a SG Saiph head on a Aprilstory body The match is pretty good but that's also because my Saiph wasn't super pink and she also mellowed a bit already. The body is just a touch lighter but that's nothing a bit of bodyblush won't hide... gosh I really should finally blush her >.<''

Hasel - That looks very good! And it is good to know that Soom is not as pink as I feared. This opens options....
(I sold a pink skinned Dragondoll body to someone with a Soom head a year or two back and she said it was an excellent match - and that body was sooo pink).

 

Soom is not very consistant with their color, I would see what people have to say about the batch your head came/is comming from. And having it mellow in a place where there is not direct sunlight works to.

 

I was lucky! They let me swap. No idea of ship date but I'm so busy with other things right now I'm not in a big hurry. It'll be nice to have an unexpected shipping notice on some dreary day of late winter/early spring.

 

Does anyone know what eye size is better? It says 18mm but I want the eyes to seem a little smaller so I was wondering if I should get 16mm instead, but I don't know if it will fit perfectly. Thanks

 

Yeah, april story is a match for switch and volks
And my friend hybrid soom head with volks
There is slightly different because soo
Is a little bit pink, but she blushed the body a little bit and it's all perfect..
I guess that would work with april story too..

I'm getting the 1+1 for my soom and switch head

 

Avelena - thank you for the information And I would love to see you join the aprilstory waiting room too? There are onlt very few people there that is hard to guess when my order will be in. And I bet there are more people that ordered!

Hello! I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if the 'old' April Story heads, such as Clover, Winter G etc fit on the new bodies? I have an Adrienne that needs a body but I'm getting very confused between April Story and Classy doll. Do the new April Story bodies work on the older heads? and has anyone got any photos? Thank you in advance!

 

I don't know how accurate their 18mm suggestion is, I bought some 18mm eyes for my Minho and they were way too large, the old 14mm eyes I had for the old doll that shelled his character fit much better.

 

Interesting question, have you asked the company too?

And what does everyone think of the new vamp heads?

 

I haven't asked them yet no, I wasn't sure how best to word it!

 

Just ask them - that you have this wonderful head they made (name it) and that you wondered if it would fit the current bodies, and if they still use the same resincolour as they did when they made your dollhead? They have a question and answer section I believe?

They've got back to me, and the older discontinued heads WILL fit the Junior bodies and the resin match is said to still be the same :3

I FINALLY received my Joshua! (Brazillian customs suck big time. It took them 51 days to finally let me get my boy -_-)

I discovered April Story yesterday and almost bought Anthony. He's such a lovely boy.
I couldn't find a thread about Junior bodies, so I hope it's alright to ask here - does anyone own them? How well do they pose?

 

SugarBenki: Yeah, he's using CIG 18mm low dome in the blak photos ^_^
In the faceup photo he's using 14mm, I think they're CIG too o_õ
I personally think 18mm is way too big, 14mm looks better to me. But that's because his character is supposed to be older XD

 

PerlaNemesis: you can absolutely talk about the juniors here! The thread was made back when only tye senior size existed. I also talk about my elder boy, even though I think I may be the only one on this forum to own one xD If ever aprilstory dolls get insanely popular, enough to warrant separate threads for each line, we'll reconsider, but at the moment, it's better for everyone to have just one thread. I don't have a junior body, though I really want one in the future, so I'm also interested in posing!

 

winfur - he is beautiful! And you ordered him on the 20th of december? Or was it 51 workdays? Because the 20th of december means my Joshua (and Anthony) could arrive in two or three weeks time! ?
And I am going to be in trouble. I intended their bodies for two heads I have here... I have a feeling it won't happen. Well, maybe they can share?

I am currently waiting for an Anthony head that I'll be getting in a split....(except I am making him a girl ) I'm going to try her on a nice tall spiritdoll girl body, but it's a bit of a gamble. I know spiritdoll girls have a similar neck/head size. eeeeep

 

winfur: I also wanted my Joshua too have a more mature look! Though I bought 16mm eyes for him, I hope they're not too big! The 14mm eyes fit your Joshua really nicely!

 

Cyador: Ooops, sorry for causing you confusion >_< the 51 days was after he was shipped. Yeah, an EMS took 51 days to arrive. Things that happen on Brazil ¬¬
As for the production time: I finished paying him on November 10th, and he was sent on December 19th!

I think they are busy with the winter event orders. I don't think anyone has the new junior bodies yet. My order made before the new bodies was released has not been shipped. Of course, I did get makeup, so my order may take longer.

 

Winfur - that is an awful long time spend in shipping I am glad that they did arrive safely in the end.
And I keep returning to your pictures. He looks a lot better than I thought he would Makes me look forward to mine even more. My boys are part of that winter event - so I am hoping to get that 'we have shipped your order note' in a couple of weeks...

 

Does anyone know if they ship quickly if you ordered layaway? Though it probably will be delayed even more because most companies shut down for the new years celebration!

 

I can't say for sure, but it was about a month after I finished my layaway when I ordered before they re-did everything. Plus, a lot of companies I've ordered from don't actually make your doll until your layaway is almost done or done.

 

Thanks Koma! But what do you mean when they "re-did" everything?? It's nice to somewhat know when my doll will arrive, but a whole month! I am so excited and can't wait~ I finished my layaway on the 14th so it won't be as long of a wait

Eek!! The re-releases are gorgeous! I'm so glad they haven't shipped my order yet! I'm gonna email them and see if I can exchange heads for the Winter one. Omg the Winter scuplt is so beautiful hopefully I can get that one.

 

Sorry to be asking here but I couldn't find a Classy Doll thread and so I'm replying here since there were some posts about the Classy Doll body that was sold by April Story on pre-order last year in summer.

Does anyone here who had defective knee joints still have them and maybe take a pic of how they fit in the legs? how large the gap is between leg and knee joint when you bend the leg? I first mailed Classy Doll about this when I found out some of the joints were defective and waited a while but never heard back from them. So I just posted on their Q&A board again last week and attached some pics. They say the knees are fine but honestly? I've never seen such large gaps on a doll between the knee-joint and the leg. I also can post a pic here if that helps. Tonight when I'm back home. I'd just like to find out if this really is normal because if it is I might just reconsider keeping that body.

 

SugarBenki - my choice would be Fall - I asked them if I can add that head to my order...

 

Cyador- Fall does look really great! I want all of them~ But it was a hard choice between Summer and Winter for me~ They did reply and say they will change the head so I'm super Happy! Except they say it will be shipped at the end of March or beginning of April! Another long wait but I'm so excited~ How long ago did you place your order Cyador? Mine was in early December.

 

I placed my order on the first of Januari. And I did get an answer - I can add the head if I let them know today - for my dolls are (were?) to be shipped this week.... I knew/hoped for that - since another Dutch girl that had did the exact same order two days earlier received hers last week (love the youtube vid she did on it! - Those heads are beautiful blanc - far more so than the company pictures).

Which one did you choose in the end? And which one did you drop?

I ordered an Anthony and a Joshua and hope now to receive both of those, the Fall head + the small gift doll.

I should check out that YouTube video And in the end I went with the winter head~ Maybe I should have stuck with the Joshua head I dropped and have it ship earlier because I actually ordered a kanabykana Adrian head for the body >~> So do you know when your orders gonna ship now after the added head? I really hope the new bodies pose a bit better than the old ones.. Or that the hip part has gotten better/secured. But oh my gosh, they seriously make the most amazing bodies and curves! I will probably buy another April story doll again.

 

kia20 - which body is the old one for you? And if it is not posing the way I'd want I would suede/mod do whatever until it sits and stands well. Wenniebjd said the current one can slouch very well - so that body sounds like a big YES to me

 

Ahh, the re-release heads are so dreamy! I just hope I can find split partners who want bodies for the 1+1 event. There's no way I can afford to buy the bodies too right now. >.<

 

Hi So I saw the event for the 1+1 and I'm wondering if someone can explain it a little more for me.

Does it mean that you would get two dolls for the price of one, or if you ordered two dolls there is a discount? if this is the case, what is the discount? Or is it something else completely?

The 1 + 1 action means you buy two dolls for the price of one doll without a discount. So I joined a while a ago - and paid 670 dollar for 2 SD65 boy dolls (including heads) and including shipping to Europe...
When the current new boys were put online I added a head to that order. So I will have to wait a little longer.
