April Story Senior Boy & Girl Dolls

Snowy he does look good blank! I can see the character even better now without the company faceup. Once the weather clears up and I have the energy for faceups he'll really start looking like he should.

Also the body went to my Picot Prince Makoto. Need a very slim body for the head, thinking DC.



Look at this dope, I got so used to him as a head that he looks SO WEIRD on a body. I can finally cuddle him now though.

Body is very floppy still, they strung him quite loosely for transit. Would've tightened him before I went to work but I was very noodle-armed from carrying this beast home in the rain and wind.

I'm glad that you're done at the moment with your girl, in the end when you will find the willing you can try again with disks, to be honest to me work great just for head, i've tried onto wrists once but final result well not what i hoped cause i didn't see this big improvement.

 

Snowy i completely feel you, despite that i have few of those disks around i'm not willing to try again with my girl body, maybe i'll do when strings will be over but not anytime soon

Thanks! I love Picot Prince. April Story is a recommended match for them so obviously the body was gonna go to him XD I just hope it doesn't take too long to get the Minho head a body, I miss having my Eden around, though he was an MSD before.


The wig is from Jeeryama. I think its all sold out though, there was only a couple left when I bought it and I haven't seen it since.

 

I love seeing your dolls. ^_^ I have a totally crappy cellphone picture (she's on my desk so there is stuff everywhere all over it from projects) to share of my Feeple 60 head on the Classy Doll body. I'm not actually sure which body they sent me (whether 54cm or 60cm, and because I didn't get an order confirmation I totally forgot which of the two I chose lol), but the overall effect is really cute. She just needs a face up and wig now. The color match is completely off in real life, but photographs pretty close, so I'm not bothered by it at all. I'll post better pics when I get a chance. ^_^

The proportions are so adorable. This body is just so cute and dainty. I'm very glad I gave it a chance! I didn't make the dress. It came with another doll awhile ago and that owner had made it. she did a good job!

They are apparently also preparing the release of a new girl & body.
I'm tempted to ask if I can just order the legs. I'd like to try and put those on the classy doll body, as they are straighter.

What do you guys think of that option and of that new girl & body?

 

I like the new body, but I wonder if it's taller than the Classy doll bodies? A long while ago, I asked April Story if they could release a 63cm girl body, so I'm hoping this could be it.
It's still great, even if it's 60/61cm, but I would have loved a bit taller girl body.
Also I'm glad to see they're doing heel legs again. I wish we've had that option with the Classy doll bodies, but I'm sure I'm gonna love them anyway.

EDIT: Okay, I checked Amelie, so it's 61cm.. I'm still considering it depending on how long it'll be sold.

 

Wow seems that My Angel project is very pricey...
BTW taliking about new girl body not my cup of tea definitely Classy body suit fit better my tastes as there's so many details.
Speacking about spare parte i wonderging if high heeled feet are sold separately

The My Angel project is not that badly priced when you consider the price per head when you order in bulk, 10 additional heads (11 total) is like 123.45 per head, which is pretty normal.
I think it is more than companies like nobilitydoll or the DIM ones (cant recall atm), but they do have unlimited modifications instead of like only 2 changes or something.

 

I can't say for sure, but I was able to buy a pair of extra feet in a different skin color with the Classy bodies.

 

I've just written them an inquiry about the legs + feet to replace those on my classy body. I'll see if it works out or not.

captainkyo i know that if you're split total amount for 10 units price isn't such bad but i've hosted a group order in past for a minimee head manufactured by AngelsDoll and i've gaine barely 5 people interested so basing on my experience reach 10 for some characters would be almost impossible...

I need to get his wig so he can really start looking like his character. He's so pretty.

Need to find my sandpaper too so I can properly fix his off eye. My sanding sticks just arent cutting it. Why do a lot of my dolls have the same wonky eye??

 

He is very pretty. I love that eye color!

Just a quick word to testify on Classy doll amazing customer service (I don't know if there has been a specific thread opened for classy doll ?)
Anyway, I ordered the classy doll body when it was still April Story ^ ^

So if some of you are interested to know if I did get my replacement hands (long story short : I broke several fingers on both hands because the doll couldn't stand at all in the beginning and I was not cautious enough >_<), the answer is yes !!

I had left a message months ago on their Q&A where I asked if I could order and pay (well, I was the one who broke them, they were not broken on arrival !) for new ones, and also enquired about the knee trouble.
They only answered once that I would only have to pay for shipping (which was totally fine !), and since then (end of September I think) I was waiting for a shipping quote.

And then totally out of the blue : an EMS parcel to my door, containing new hands and 2 knee joints !!
I received an email from them AFTER I received it that my hands were shipping ^ ^

Now that is what I call a (free !) Christmas surprise, and a good one !

 

Anyone else seen the new boy Anthony? Ugh they're gonna kill me with their cute boys, I wish they sold the heads by themselves too. Or if they had a less muscular body.

 

They keep adding new dolls! I like Anthony.

Hi! My Classy Body arrived yesterday. Here is the hybrid with my E-una head. The resin match in much better in real life, it's nearly perfect The neck size is perfect, maybe the neck is a bit too long but I don't mind.

I've been too busy lately to even keep up with lots of new releases, but I happened to see something about the current event and since I was in need of two 65 cm boy bodies, that 1+1 deal was too hard to resist. So, I'm getting an Anthony and a Joshua. I may not keep the heads on those bodies... I have a RAMcube Lamu head arriving soon, so he might get one of the bodies. I think both RAMcube and AS normal skin are supposed to be close to Volks, from what I've heard? Anthony is so cute and reminds me of Jayden, who I missed out on. I think Anthony looks even younger, but he has that same cute/playful smile.

I'm glad to hear the service and quality seems to be improving - I wasn't really fully aware of the knee issues on some bodies but it sounds like they're working to make things right when there are problems.

I like the body, even if I'm a bit scared of those skinny hands they look so fragile and I'm so afraid to break her fingers. The body itself is cool and I'm happy I ordered the A cup because it's just the size I like (on official pictures it looked smaller), but why can't she stand? Did they try to put the doll on her own feet? And then decided to put her on sale???

 

[MENTION=63689]christinopia[/MENTION]: She can stand with patience and very finely manipulation. I only had patience for that one time thought. The golden solution are silicon discs. Since I didn't want to re-string her again, I just cut one slit towards the middle and put them around the strings in the joint of where the leg goes in the hip and in the ankles. Already working wonders. Also helps in the shoulder joint.

 

Hello! Figured I'd join in here. I have a Classy Doll girl body that should be shipping any time now, and I also hosted a pretty big split for the 1+1 event April Story put on. I bought a Stella through the event, so I'm excited to compare the Classy Doll and April Story Senior girl bodies. ^^ Eventually, I'll have my character Kay using one of the two bodies and a number of heads I'm planning on trying. Still have to figure out what sculpt's right for her, so I'm just trying stuff and selling what doesn't work. xD

 

Has anyone ordered a Joshua sculpt? I have him on layaway and am almost done with the payments, so I might get him late February. I'm so excited and the wait is killing me! This is old news for some, but I'm just getting an opportunity to really "play" with my Classy doll toned body that I purchased with the pre-order, and have had since October. I've scanned the last several pages, and noticed a lot of people have trouble getting their dolls to stand. I'm having the same trouble, as well as difficulty getting her knees to bend in a 90 degree angle. I see a "S" hook in the joint, and wonder if that is part of the problem.

The elbows bend to 90 degrees, but won't hold anything further. I don't mind single joint mobility, if that's what I choose to buy, but I had such hope for this body. :-/

Have you tried restringing the body? I haven't received my boy yet but I heard the stringing in their bodies is kinda weird. I think they string the legs separately. Hopefully this might help your doll stand? Good luck though

 

Hello, Does anyone know how the resin match is between Sadoll and April Story?
I am considering getting an April Story body (female) but I dislike their hands, and i fell in love with Sadoll's hands. Anyone know if the hands will look good on an April Story body (female)?

I just noticed there's a new head, Liam, which I really like... I've e-mailed them to see if I could swap out the Joshua head I ordered under the 1+1 event option, since the new head is now listed as a choice there too and I have no idea how far along they are in producing the sculpts.

 

Solitary Agent: if they don't let you swap heads, they might let you add just a head to yoyr order. They've done that in the past for people who already had a full doll on order.

 

<>Hirin<> I have a Sadol body.. and the resin is a terrible match. Sadol looks extremely pink compared with april story =( maybe the white skin tones work better. If you like i can take a picture of the hand on april story female

Hello! I'm trying to get some information about the April Story bodies and I'm hoping someone in here can help. Which feet are the default feet for this body, the heel feet or the flat feet? Also, does anyone know if the heel feet can go onto the regular legs, or if you have to have the "high heel legs"? Thanks to anyone who can help!

 

I do not have my boys yet and won't get any girls - but I do know there are several girl bodies you could be speaking about. Which one do you want the information about?

 

Since the Heeled feet and Heeled legs are options, I think the flat feet are the basic feet. The heeled feet are just feet that can replace the flat feet while the heeled leg is a one piece lower leg and foot with no joint at the ankle.

 

Thanks! That's kind of what I thought, but it's really difficult to figure out from the site. The Senior girl body and the new Junior girl body look pretty much the same in construction. It's the Junior body I'm most interested in, but since the options are the same for both Senior and Junior, I can assume the information applies similarly to both.

I've also posted a Q&A on the site, just to be sure I get the specific information on the Junior girl body, but I'm feeling much more confident after asking in here.
