April Story Senior Boy & Girl Dolls

I notice merely on thighs pieces, not so clear on hands and back guess that it's hard to get in pictures. Now are you sure that isn't an issue or thinness of those resin areas?
Anyway contact April Story cause if it's for sure a matter of factory flaw manifacturing. From what i see you would need thigh replacement piece, chest replacement piece, and fist hands replacement pieces..it's something that April Story should check in my humble opinion.

 

Yeah, my camera its'n very good, I'm afraid.
I've looked closely and no area is thinner than the other.
Actually, hands, back and chest are not a problem, I can blush them ^_^.
Unfortunately, wrist and right thigh are too noticeable, if they changed me those two parts, I would be happy.
Now I'm awaiting for their answer.

 

Oh gosh i see pretty clear that fisted hands and one wirst are basically faded, also one thigh and knee are the same, i also see on back the issues, it seems like color have been faded due to direct sunlight, wondering if it's carrier fault, maybe your body was stocked in a sunny place something like that..
BTW check with April Story and see if there's a way to work it out, clearly you've got a defective body.

On the other hand (no pun intended), I have not a single piece of news about my hands replacement (which I broke while trying to make her stand :'()

There was a request for a Supia head on the Classy doll body, here it is, as I finally had the time to take a pic !
This is Nael, on the 61 toned body version. The color match (both WS) is nearly perfect (the Classy body is just the tiniest bit more yellow) !



Forgive the boots (she stands way better with them ! her feet are definitely too small !) and the lack of hands (I don't want to risk it anymore )

I'm wondering, am I the only one who is bugged by how small the arms are compared to the rest of the body?

 

I just can't help with that i mean to me this body *especially the toned/muscular type* is merely perfect, so to me arms, feet, hands are just perfect as they are!

Marlequeen feet imo are the correct size, i've compared with old Soom old SuperGem female high heeled feets and are almost the same, differently we cannot find any shoes that fit them.But if could come handy i can take some comparison pics!

Well I didn't notice anything about the arm length (but then on my pics there are no hands, which are pretty big, imo)

For the record, she is wearing MSD sized boots in the pic (they don't fit my Spiritdoll elegance body which is the same size), that's why I was thinking the feet were a bit small

 

Really? I need to check then..could it be that the heeled feet are pretty arched cause come with resin heels as well? Anyway i've tried also some SD16 size shoes and fits fine to me..maybe the flat feet are short?

 

Marlqueen i was talking about high heeled feet of AprilStory, but i have both Soom SG female old feet falt and tip toe/high heeled and i can take a comparison if could turn handy between them to show any possible different size.
My girl is now wearing a pair of shoes bought from Tata SD16 size on high heeled feet, maybe flat feet are smaller i really have no idea...

 

I'm actually talking about the girth of the upper arm, not the length. It's been bothering me for a while, I feel like it should be meatier. I'm still gonna get one of those bodies though, they're just beautiful.

I will try to take some pics between aprilstory high heeled feet with Soom old supergem high heeled feet and share here, i can also trow DollMore YouthEve high heeled feet just to have more to compare to!
Anyway i think that AprilStory high heeled feet are perfect as fit most SD16 shoes that i have in hand, which is great as usually fitting depends mostly on style of shoes

Hi! I have a couple probably dumb questions for you guys. The first is, I see that Classy Doll/April Story says they'll only take 20 orders per ordering period, and according to the site the ordering period should have passed. However, I'm able to add the body to my cart anyway. Does this mean we could order at this moment if we wanted to? Have you noticed any problems when finding clothes for these girls? Can they wear standard SD13 or SD16 type things?

And if anyone has some CP Delf heads or Feeple 60 heads to compare to this body, would you be able to take a picture for me so I can see color and scale? (I'm looking into the 54 cm girl body, with either A or B busts.)

I don't have the 54cm body but I can tell you that the proportions are lovely on the 61cm body with the Chloe head.

Resin match isn't good though. Here is a picture but in person it is even more noticeable as AS tends to photograph pinker than it is.

It does, thanks! I think I found your picture on Flickr a bit ago! It looks like it'll match and older delf head a bit better than thre feeple heads, but I may need to blush either way. The proportions look great though!

I, uh, decided to be a bit impulsive and bought the body today. XD I'm okay with the match being slightly off, and I've got a couple different heads it could work with I hope. It's such a cute body.

 

Captainkyo:: I KNOW RIGHT! He was an impulse buy for me but the longer I stared at the picture, the more I keep thinking about the eyes. Praying that it's a faceup fault over a sculpting fault though, otherwise I'll have to break out the beveler. T_T

Just wondering - I recently bought the 66cm Classy Doll boy body (pre-order with April Story) and found out today that obviously, some (or all?) of those pre-ordered bodies are having problems with their knee joints. So now I'm wondering if my boy might be one of those. What exactly are the problems with his knee joints? Mine are rather loose and also, the upper part of the leg protrudes about 1 mm or so over the lower part of the leg where the joint is. I don't know if that's normal?

Just wondering whether I have to contact Classy Doll and ask them for replacements ... (they have a notice on their website).

That the upper part of the leg protudes over the lower part of the leg is the same with my girl.
My knee joints fit rather well thought.



Also, I tried to put my Crobidoll Yeon-ho on the body today, while I'm waiting to pay off the intended head, because I've got a second Yeon-Ho incoming, that I plan to make into a girl.
Slightly bubble headed and again body photographs more pink than it is in real, but in real the resin match is pretty good!

Thanks, Snowy, those posts helped a lot! I'll probably check the whole body more thoroughly this weekend. Just didn't want to take it apart when it arrived because the strings seemed so tight. Now, they almost seem a bit loose ...

 

Snowy imo don't look such bad, with ig on will be a perfect hybrid!

[MENTION=38965]$avage[/MENTION]: The second yeon-ho is supposed to get a medium sized chest, but for now I'll keep it this way and wait for the originally intended head to see if the resin matches in the first place. If not, the 2nd head will get this one and I'll give the other head a different body...

And yes, I did sew the dress, thought it didn't turn out as I wanted (I'm ok with it by now :3). I'm currently busy doing cosplay-work for myself, but hope to get time to give it another try to do the dress the way I wanted it to be.

She still is a pain to pose thought ^^° I really do hope the silicone rings I ordered for her joints will arrive soon.

They told me I'd have a shipping notice for my body soon. I'm planning on a hybrid with my f60 soony head, since I like how it photographs and I can blush to match if I'm too bothered by it. I need to order some silicone kips and probably prepare to wire the body as well.

Nope, didn't oder a second body yet, but considering it. I need to wait for the head that's getting shipped on monday to check resin match. AND I definitly will wait for the silicon kips and then see if wiring will help the bodies possability. I have a few scenes in mind that I want to do with my group, that will require all dolls being able to hold their poses.
Also, I want to wait and see if April Story will not release their own female bodies with a breast joint.

Me! I ordered Minho! I'll be splitting up the head and body though because I need a much thinner body for the character he's shelling. Debating giving the body to my Picot Prince Makoto, its super pretty.

First they say that the sale will be limited for 15 first days of the months .. and they do not do that! I never see the dolls sold out!
also said just 20 order for each item are sold, again, never seen anything sold out
they say they will ship between 4-7 days? nope...
now they say that the dolls are with 20% discounts, meaning that the prices that were set were the real prices???
and put the delivery for 30 days ...

they are making us people to rush and order suppoused limited stuff.... The prices are far too low....

 

Well this price IMO is tempting, considering that Classy body(at least female bodies) have a great sculpt and despite few issues with strings and way of posing i don't see any flaws, sure resin colors aren'tfancy but not this big deal.
I always thoguth that the discounted price launched on AprilStory web site was to be considered the even, i mean disocunted price for a limited time...
I've waitied about 3 weeks more less purchasing by AprilStory the Classy girl body so waitime of 30 days imo is pretty fair.

Sincerely i don't see the fuss, i mean a lot of other companies claim this and that and no one is shocked to find the supposed event dolls still available in their shops a month later.
I guess that Classy company is not April Story, more over April Story as far as i know doesn't hold the property of the bodies.
If you're afraid about quality well do not buying it, it's the best thing to do honestly.

 

Classy doll is having issues?

The was interested in the sale, but I only want the head since I think the heads would look nicer on a more childish/skinny body, but what a hassle if the bodies might come with funky knees...

I guess that the matter was that April Story posted the message in their board to prevent further issues, my body has no issue of whatsoever with knees joints.

 

My body is pretty fine, i had issues the way was strunged with strings that crossing into each other for legs and body lower parts, but despite than this no quality issues, at very least on female body, just knee was a more thin in comparison to other parts of the body but that's all

 

Ah that's good. I'm interested in the 66B02 boy head, but I don't think the body matches how childish the head is. Trying to decide if I wanna save the body for later or go to the marketplace to do a split. Ahh... I haven't done my Christmas shopping yet. oTL

The silicone rings finally arrived yesteday.
Only could put them in now, but they MASSIVLY improve the posability and stability compared to before. My girl can now even stand spread-legged and with one foot in front of the other.

I put XL size ones into the leg-hip joints, L sized ones into her shoulders and M sized ones into her ankles. I am considering getting some more M size ones for her wrists, ellbows and maybe knees. The L ones definitly don't fit into the last ones properly. Might have to enlargen the string-hole in the M ones thought.
I'm thinking of putting some silicone on her chest joint, just because.

Overall she is now fulfilling my standart expectations at least. I'll need to get time to play a bit more around with her.
Also, 4S/CD resin matches the originally intended head for that body. Unfortunately my Yeon-Ho girl will not release it's claim. I might order an M chest sized normal 61 body for the other head. Or not, since AoD matches well too. We'll see. I was hoping for 4S to release girl bodies, but doesn't seem that way for now.

You know? Usually i use these disks for heads mobility and work just great! I never tried sincerely in other areas of the body. Anyway if disks are too wide you could just resize cutting its with scissors, so you would not need to get some more.

So apparently my Minho shipped out on the 17th and they didn't email me til today when it was already in Salt Lake. I don't think the mailman even tried to deliver it to my door, the missed delivery slip was inside my mailbox.

So he's at the post office but the post office is closed. Have to run over there tomorrow morning ugh.

For a 1/3 doll i think it will not be much difference separating the joints u v u. I finished my layaway some days ago... I'm eagerly waiting for my body to ship! *-*. A friend of mine bought fullpayment a body during the 1 week ship and it took them about 3 weeks to ship... so i better take this quietly y w y.

My Classy Doll body arrived today without any notice! I was pleasantly surprised! The sculpting on it is adorable, but good heavens the knees/shins are pretty difficult to work with. I've restrung her the way a Delf is strung since I'm using a Delf neckpiece on the body. I still need to wire it and get some kips, but overall it's not too bad for the price. I love how the color photographs as if it matches the Fairyland head even though the difference is more noticeable in real life. I'll have to post pics soon as I can. ^_^

His one eye is a little bit off like someone said but easily fixable.

Also the sales page says he fits 18mm eyes but I think 14mm is a much better fit. Not a lot of whites showing with the 18mm ones I tried.

For me it's the first time using these disks. Only my Granado has them - but he came with those implemented in his joints - and he's one of my greatest posers.

I'm NOT goign to restring my girl a 4th time in the next future until she really needs it.

Crossing my fingers for you that you'll get your body soon. Also, the days they name are work days. My 4S body also took 2,4 weeks to ship way back in the year. They had several holidays back then thought.
