Anyone going to Doll North (Toronto, Canada)? May 27-29

Dec 23, 2015

    1. I brought 2, though left with 3
Lakumi (the dollzone luna with very soft hair) Zoey, who obtained that fantastic witch outfit for sale in the doll market, and Rosalind, a new addition I got and is from The Orient Doll (also bought from the doll market).

    2. I could only make it to the market on sunday and all I bought was a wig, but I picked up plenty of business cards. (I also stopped by the swap meet and gathering for a few moments. I wanted to do SOMETHING dolly related on saturday gosh darn!)
Since I was running on short time for, well, most of the weekend I didn't get to do any cute photoshoots with the dioramas this year (my avatar is from last year, with my aileendoll ashes). But I have taken to taking quick phone pictures of my dolls with most of the food I've been eating on my trip, which I will be holding off on posting in full on DoA until I either get back from colossalcon or go back home to florida. But here is a picture of my boys with that yummy onigiri we were talking about before

(oh and here is a picture of him with his new wig. One of the macarons popped off his broach so he's not wearing it or his scarf until I glue it back on.)

    3. I was really excited to get a chance to check out Doll North this year! In all my years of attending AN I had never made the trek down the street, but I am super glad I did this year!

I got myself my first doll, and can't wait to start making things for her. I have already come up with a bunch of ideas for clothing I want to sew her. Finally my cosplay hobby can be done slightly more cost effectively on a smaller scale.

Thank you so much to all the doll north staff for organising such an awesome event! I will definitely be back next year! \\

Mystck, if you are talking about the huge table covered in eyes, she did not have an etsy listed on her business card, however she does have a website www.e-d.co.kr

    4. I think @Mystck means the artist in Crafter's Corner over at the Toronto Congress Centre who was selling handmade eyes. I've seen some pictures of purchases made from her, and we sent an inquiry to Crafter's Corner about her. Does anyone who purchased from her remember if she was only selling handmade eyes or if her table had other types of items for sale? If she's strictly selling doll items we'd like to encourage her to join us at the Doll Market instead next year.

In our own market my husband and I were offering urethane eyes from Enchanted Doll (as Scion has linked) and Oscar Doll. Enchanted Doll is very happy with the interest from Canadian fans this year and we plan to offer their eyes again next year :)

    5. Oh my mistake! I unfortunately didn't see the seller in Crafter's Corner. I have however sent out a couple messages asking around to some of my friends and followers who may have!

    6. Thank you everyone who stopped by the Steampetal booth! I had an amazing weekend and loved chatting with everyone! <3

    7. @SaturnRose I have talked to the seller in the crofters corner. She said that her main focus was mainly non-doll related, but then decided to squeeze in some doll eyes last minute. I did recommend for her to try Doll North next time as I think she'd do well, so she said she'll consider it for next time!
