I know! I feel like I’ve been stalking this company to buy something specific for years! Now they temp me to add on a new head, but the male body I’ve wanted isn’t available yet (although I appreciate the rework) and no special resin colors!

 

That body has been in re-work status for over a year. And I'd love a reworked body, cuz the two Evan bodies I have, the knees are awful! But the heads hybrid well, so I could match them to Impldoll bodies, too, which I may have to do to get a complete doll anytime soon.

And Impldoll is no better, gosh darn it! There’s a three-eyed female head and an MGB female muscle body I’ve been wanting!

Although here are maybe the hands:

 

Impl WILL be releasing those, the 3-eyed head before the MGB I am sure (I know, I neeeed one too)... but Angelsdoll... please come out with that body, it's your main SD sized boy one!

UPDATE: Talked to them on IG and was told the new boy body will be available for purchase next month. Yay!

On his IG they posted a guitar that they said is an event item, pretty cool to get rockstars. Looks a bit small so I think that maybe for the 1/4 body that @americanseamstress posted about earlier?

I love that they give their hands detailed nails, their hands are my favorite and Im excited to order the new 70 for the jointed hands alone XD

This summer is not good to anyone's wallet... so many amazing releases

Just a heads up for all those interested

Angelsdoll just posted their two new heads (Serin and Maron) thats going on sale tomorrow 11/8
With an event that you get free eye molds with the heads

However, there will also be the new and improved ASD70 doll body debuting too!!!

There will be a free jointed hand event for that body and the tan skin colors will be available for this event too
Im not sure if the heads will have the skin color options other than normal/white but they confirmed that the full ASD70 will

I am definitely getting Gunel if hes available as a full doll in tan

 

Has anyone tried to buy any of the bodies on the Angelsdoll site? I assume the link for the 70cm male body (even though it shows the old body pictures) is the correct one to buy the new male body because there is no other link, but all resin options are out of stock. I brought this up on the Q&A, and Angelsdoll stated he “can’t find any problem.” Is this issue unique to me or can other people not buy the body either?

 

@americanseamstress I asked them on their instagram since the pictures are not updated, that if I buy the body, would it be the new improved one and they told me yes

I also have no problem with adding the ASD70 male body, I tried adding each color and they all worked fine

Im also using my laptop to view and add (thought i would mention it since I know some people use their cellphones/ipad and those have issues with some websites). Im also using Chrome as my browser

If its none of the above, I would clear the cache and internet history and reload, then try again?

Does anyone have a comparison between light tan and tan?

Ive looked around a bit and the I cant find a general idea, and some have different names like vivid tan (not available anymore, or maybe name change?) so I would love to know about anyone getting their tans in the recent 2-3 years

Ive come across information a few days ago but cant seem to find it now, that light tan is close to Iplehouse's real skin and tan is close to light brown, would you find that true?

I mostly want to know if their tan looks very saturated like the color comparison on the official page

Would you also say their white is paper, ivory or pinky white?

Their white is a pale NS.
Vivid tan was close to real skin but that was the old Angelsdoll. Now tan is more like old AoD/DZ tan.

 

Also, here is a pic of Angelsdoll light tan (The super tall body) with an Impldoll tan head on it, next to a SiD Peach Gold body with a Dollshe in oriental peach (I dunno the color- the one up from Oriental). The AD light tan is very close to a Soom tawny, as all these colrs are.

I was hoping their dark tan would be less red, but their light tan is a very nice toffee color. I was also hoping their white would be stark white because I like how white dyes without worrying about undertones, but its understandable they would want human flesh pale skin.

You have helped me a lot, Ill be placing my order for Gunel in light tan soon. Im still surprised these heads are that cheap, I was actually worried I was on a non legit website

Thank you! He looks good on the AD body too! Copper oriental and lt tan are a decent (That is, blushable) match. Here's the pic of that:

 

I bought Evan a few months ago and I think he should be with me soon as he was sent out last week. I haven’t really decided what I will do with him yet though.

 

I have put one on layaway, but this will be my 3rd. I may get another to replace an existing Evan body depending on how much better it is with the silicone parts. 2 will be AD purebreeds but the 3rd is a hybrid with an Impldoll head.

 

Just a question. Do angeldolls pose well? What are its perks?

 

Perks? it's very, very pretty! The new male bodies have silicon nubs to help with posing and I have yet to try it, though I have a new body on layaway. The old ones pose well (no change except that silicon, like Granado and Dollshe have), but it's a LOT of doll, so the knees suffer. Wire and suede them and you should be golden. Also, the jointed hands probably need wiring too. The more the doll, the harder is seems to pose under the sheer weight of itself (which is why Minifees are so amazing in the pose department- size, weight and engineering); also, the AD boys are heavy and need thick strings. I have mine with 5 (or 6)mm strings but I think he could do with thicker. That would help a lot. His channels are big enough to support more, if memory serves.

As for the girls, they have renewed hip sockets... no more magnets. I may have restrung mine. I'll have to look. Very cute (if not short at 60cm) body!

I was planning to get an Impldoll body for mine but I really like the Angelsdoll body now I have seen it... Evan is so lovely I can’t wait to get mine a faceup

 

Hi Jareth! (waves) We were just talking about him on FB messenger! I do prefer the aesthetic of the AD body over the Idol. It's lanky but muscular, a really nice balance. I remember I was considering modding mine shorter when I got him, but when I opened my box and put him together (I asked to string my own), that idea vanished! He's very visually pleasing as-is.

 

Hiya!! Yes I definitely like my guys on the lankier side when possible. I heard that the AD body is slightly bigger than what is said on the website? Just wondering what size clothes he will fit. He’s gorgeous I’ve certainly fallen in love with him now

 

Wow, laaate reply! So sorry! I don't know about bigger than the website, which claims 75cm in height I think- he stands about that without shoes, maybe 74.5cm. I use ID75/Idol/EID clothes with him. Some may be a bit short and some a bit thicker waisted, but if it fits ID75, it should fit him. Here's a pic of the ID75 next to the AD Evan in Army gear.

I actually have an old AD Ivan and for years thought the company was gone forever but then I learn they came back....and ohhh boy I think I fell in love with the Evan....Thank you to whoever posted the comparison picture of the Ivan with the Evan. I am now definitely thinking of reshelling my Ivan’s character into the Even
Love the Ivan but he is so skinny and Im really in love with the new body. Heck Im strongly debating on reshelling my Ivans wife into the Yul

 

I have finally finished my Evan layaway so I can get the new body!

That pic was probably mine and YES, huuuuge difference between the two bodies! Evan is gorgeous! Even moreso in real life! I still have the Ivan head, traded the body, and am going to get it back again for the head I never found another body for. *L*

Yul is a gorgeous girl, but the difference between the 75cm boy and the 60cm girl is pretty big. She's quite petite next to him, though if that's what you want, then it'd work fine! (The girl is nYiD size, Evan is ID75 size.)
I urge you to get the Evan!

The Ivan being so skinny with the EID being so full bodied is a bit awkward

 

Well, the EID gal will look good next to the Evan! I may have a pic of that somewhere... no, I don't. But I can get one!

Do you mind saying when you ordered and whether you got notified it shipped? It appears there is no waiting room for AngelsDoll or I would look and ask there

 

Basically I ordered the head with my friend in mid-June and it shipped in late August and arrived to my friend in early September. But what happened was I was going to receive the head at a meet but my friend forgot to bring it but he sent it to me finally.
It generally takes them about 2 months to send I think.

Edit: yes they did also send a shipping notification!

The new male body with the silicone kips and the Karl head. Rats on the headcap magnets! It’s kind of irritating to have to find the right size. I guess I’ll have to look out for that too, but I guess at least I can make the strength to my liking

 

I’m probably super late on this one but I just checked the website and I really like their new Maron head I am kind of tempted to get him but I need to get my Evan completed I was also wondering about the ASD40 body... I don’t have any MSDs but I actually quite like the doll!

 

Thread doesn't seem very active but I was wondering if the Angelsdoll Tan may match Mirodoll burnt sugar? I'm trying to replace my guy's body with a smaller body the angelsdoll body is just way too much to handle. I checked out the comparison thread but that seems pretty in active. Thanks. On another note my Iseul head has swapped bodies quite a bit and is currently on a April Story body which isn't too hateful.

 

It really depends on Miro's burnt sugar at the time. I would say the AD tan is probably too dark (blushing might fix that). I have current samples from them (came in last week) but I need to take pics.

That should look cute!! I have mine on a newer Soom body. It's a rather small head. Here she is on the 2012 Soom girl body next to the much bigger old Soom body. I think April Story would be comparable.


And I have the Gunel head! I need to take pics.

 

Yes she look just fine on the april story body, but I'm not very fond of the body, but better than the luts senior body I did have her on. I like the old soom body better weird that there is that much difference in the old and new bodies..wow. I sometimes wonder why companies make decisions like that to make the bodies way completely different..especially girl bodies and then they make the boys super huge and they just don't look quite right together.
Which is why I want to replace my boys body it's just all legs I could deal with 65cm but this 72cm...ugh. Even though the april story body is bigger than the senior luts body she was on they still don't look just quite right together he needs to be much shorter..lol. but that is just me.

 

There's a HUGE difference! I prefer the old ones too... and the newest ones? Even smaller, while the boys get bigger. I prefer a better ratio too, it's not just you.

Does anyone remember this head's name? I have her on a Miro doll 62cm tan body, it's OK, but this is a big head- could use a bigger body. For now I am content.

Angela? Wracking my brain and I don't recall an Angela sculpt (now I'm upset I may have missed a release). Is this a Rin, maybe?

Hi! I just tried to go on Angelsdoll’s website, and it appears to be gone.

Has Angelsdoll gone out of business?

 

I think its been gone for awhile now. That body he launched a while back, he gave refunds for it because it had poor jointing. So it never got shipped out and after that the store seemed to go quiet. I tried it again earlier this year and it was gone.

ADD: It was not a big venture with lots of workers- seemed to be mostly one guy (or girl, not sure), half the partnership from the original Angelsdoll store before they split.

 

They disappeared once before and made a comeback, so I hope we see them again sometime.

I'm sorry to hear that they are gone. Angelsdoll made some lovely dolls back in the day.

Dropping by here as I was thinking of Angels Doll earlier and was wondering what had happened to them. They had some lovely dolls Sad to see that they have dissapeared. I hope they might come back one day

 

I feel like this company was a little ahead of it's time and severely underrated. I am extremely glad I have one of their dolls, even if the colour turned out to be unstable. I really should crack out my dolls and work on them/photograph them more lol!

 

Angelsdoll was 2 owners- they split and one half kept on the business, reviving the Angelsdolls name. Then there was a jointing issue on a new release for the male body. I got a refund on it out of the blue and contacted the owner via email about it. They said the new body wasn't any good, so they were pulling it from market and gave me back my money. I thought they'd rework the body and joints and offer a new version, but it was then that the company vanished again. Now, I've seen this owner on IG kind of recently working on new sculpts and under a new name. I messaged them and asked if it was them (there is a 'look' to this artists' style), they replied yes. I asked if they were coming back, they said yes, but not as Angelsdoll. I was excited and hopeful, but that was a while ago and I've not kept on it, unfortunately. I'll try to find them again and update.

I hope they do come back, even if it’s under a new company name.
