Angell-Studio Waiting Room v4

Order was made and paid at April 29, 2014.
They sent me face up pictures for approval at Jun 17
They sent the order at July 3 ( to a wrong address)
Then they sent the order 2 more times and was return to them again...
A month in that back and forward shipping problem...
Then I asked for another shipping option again.
They used UPS and the order was here in 2 days after that. August 4


The package arrived nice and save, but they was missing the little bandaid that was suppose to be in the set... well they told me they will send it this week.

Even with those little problems, I think is a good company, they answers fast and nicely and the quality is good.

this will be my second doll from AS very excited since I have wanted Dina for a long time.

I just received photos of my Bake head with the faceup. They said they'd be shipping it out "as soon as you finished" I'm guessing that means soon? lol I'm so excited!

 

Pixidance: congrats! and Yup, basically just have to confirm that you liked the face up and then they'll ship it soon. I dont remember how long it took after they sent me pictures, but it wasn't too long after.

I agree completely! I think they are pretty unique for doing that. For sure made me super excited to get my Bakes when they sent the face ups!

Woo! I got my dolls today! I never got a shipping notice so it was a HUGE surprise when the mailman rang my doorbell today

Unfortunately, my Bake's temple has a red mark/scratch on it that wasn't in my approval photos. I'm not sure if it's worth griping over or not since it's hidden under the wig. It's a bit disappointing, though, when you pay so much for something and it comes with such a flaw.

 

I totally agree. I had actually asked them to darken dina's lips but it doesn't look like that was done but I really didn't want any more delays. Dina is my grail doll lol. And she is so cute any way .

I ordered(in full) my sweet Sherry from Mint on Card about 3 weeks ago and I am ordering her clothes tonight! The Rococo dress version 2. I can't wait till shes here!

 

Weird. I had added myself to the list when I started my layaway in October, but that whole month had fallen off the list. I put it back because, why not? Only three payments left! Don't know where the time is going.

 

Made my first payment today!
Qingyi full set + Phenix body make-up + 70+ Black Antique shoes + Extra human parts

 

Okay guys, I added myself to the list and cleaned a lot of it off. I went back as far as October since there was a few orders from August that have arrived and I'm thinking 2013 orders have been dealt with by now. If I accidentally removed you by mistake and you have not yet received your doll, feel free to re-add yourself.

It doesn't seem like the group has been very active so it may just be us three, Ishtar and Angardia. If there's anyone else still in here, would love to here who you're waiting for ^_^

 

I'm still here! Granted, my layaway isn't up until March. Not as though I won't pay her off early if she reaches the dealer before that is done.

 

@Glyndon - Nice to see someone else still in here My goodness, that is a long wait. I've had a doll on layaway before (actually it was my last Angell-Studio doll lol), but never so long. How are you holding up? Or have you just kinda settled into your wait?

Oh and do you happen to know what the wait times are currently like? I haven't seen any information anywhere. I just remember the last one I got I only had to wait a month...maybe two. I remember it was really quick.

 

Oh my! I just got the email today, Sherry has landed. Mint on Card placed the order I am in the last week of October...so that's a bit over two months. Angell Studio does tend to be all over, though. My Ice took forever, but Tristan was barely a month.
For waiting, I never "feel" the wait until the doll is paid off. Usually, anyway. I am more jumpy about Sherry than I have been about any doll in years. Knowing that she is waiting...I'll probably just pay her off when the next payment date comes up.

 

I just ordered a sherry (Off topic I think?) about a week~ish or two ago and they said she'd be ready by March so I guess around 1-2 month should be the wait time?

 

Sherry should be on topic. She's on the normal 1/3 girl body, so no heel-legs (the part causing conflict). Unless the listing is inaccurate, that could be. I kinda-sorta paid my girl off yesterday, so I'll be able to answer that sometime next week.

[Edit...never mind! As of yesterday, dolls with high-heel feet and no ankle joint are no longer off topic!]

Oh wow, IchiR3i, his impressive and that is a LOT of fantasy parts...I wouldn't be able to stop fiddling with him long enough to take pictures

So I thought I was starting to settle into my wait. Went from the "I still can't believe I bought her phase" to the "she'll be here when she's here" phase...and then I went on eBay and got a red wig for her evil Queen Beryl form...and now I can't wait for her to be here!

Luckily, the wig, due to shipping times, won't be here until almost mid-March and I'm hoping Victoria will show up towards the end of March, so I shouldn't be stuck staring at the wig for too long without it's owner.

 

FedEx tracking says my girl will be delivered tomorrow. Fingers are crossed and my thoughts are positive!

 

And, yes, it does appear that Sherry comes with high-heel legs. Disappointing, but with a face like that I can deal. Luckily, AS does sell legs separate, so I will just pick her up a flat-foot set. I hate to wait for shipping all over again, but I have heel shoes she can use in the meanwhile.

So nice to see some more people in the waiting room. I've settled into my wait now...been so busy with school I sometimes forget I'm waiting for her Can't wait to start seeing some more dollies arrive though

 

This doll is going to be very special to me. So I'm really excited. :3

 

I'm so worried. Back in November? my roommate and I placed an order for a fullset Chiyu (for her) and a fullset Qingyi (for me), placing it together so I could get the items that are free with purchase. She placed the order, and I gave her the money to pay for my share. She moved out two weeks ago, angry because I am terrified of dogs and she wanted a puppy, and that I was angry that she wasn't paying rent and getting a puppy, and also driving my car constantly without my permission. Since she's angry, she hasn't been replying to texts from me, and since she placed the order, she is going to get the shipping notification, and I doubt she'll forward me the tracking info.

Without the tracking info, I'm terrified that they'll ship, the mail carrier will attempt to deliver them, since they leave notices by the door and it's an apartment on a hallway open to the elements, the notice will be blown away, and I'll never know they were here, and they'll be sent back to Mint on Card. Even the fact that she said "you can just keep my doll I don't care anymore" doesn't make me feel better because this might make it impossible for me to ever get the Qingyi I spent so much money on.

Anyone have any suggestions? I emailed Mint on Card when she moved out, and they said that they hoped to receive the dolls last week and ship them this week, but I'm really no sure how much additional information they'd be willing to give me because I'm not the person who placed the order.

 

Layn, not sure if you've gotten any resolution for your issues yet but, if MOC was willing to talk to you about the order when you emailed them about your ex-roommate left, they might be able to tell you about when the dolls ship. If you have an receipts from you giving her money for the order, it might come in handy when you're speaking with MOC.

My apartment's front door is outside too, in a small hallway that can amplify gusts of wind and, I've had delivery notices remain stuck to my door.

Well, Mint on Card gave me a general idea of when they will arrive. Former roommate refuses to give me the tracking number but says they should arrive today. Currently sitting here doing nothing because I want to be here and not so focused on something I miss the door.

 

I'm so sorry, Layn, about how stressful that must be. I don't even know what to tell you except that I hope you get your doll home safety. I can kinda relate in that my doll is being shipped to my mother house and I currently live with my boyfriend and god knows the postal service here is horrible. My only saving grace is I probably will have the tracking (if I'm given one this time ) so I can go pick her up when she gets to the post office.

They arrived, and my QingYi is safe and sound!

I'm not going to open up her Chiyu for now. I'll wait to figure out if she's going to send me the money to pay for shipping him to her or not. All the torment she's put me through is making me want to keep him, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and wait a while before making him mine. She is, frankly, scaring me. She was unwilling to give me her current address so I could forward her a letter someone sent her, and I'm unwilling to ship a doll to her parents' old house, which is the address she gave me. Too much room for it to get lost and stolen and that would make me feel so horrible. Not to mention she's oscillating between "I want you to send him to me" and "I don't care about him!"

 

Congrats! I'm glad that QingYi made it to you safely. I think that waiting is a good idea. Hopefully she will give you a firm answer about what she wants to do with Chiyu (preferably in writing); and, if she decides she wants him, will work with you to get him there safe and sound. Ugh, I'm in the annoying phase of waiting where I am literally checking Angell-Studio every day for a shipping notice. The worst is that I'm not sure when I should be expecting it. The last Angell-Studio doll I order only took 40 days total. I'm currently at day 56 for Victoria. *headdesk* Waiting sucks

 

I'm doing the same thing too-- haha. I'm past the 2 month mark so I'm hoping soon...

I had to order through a Taobao agent who then ordered from an agent of AS @__@ So going through two agents because I missed the order period for Sherry's rockstar version

 

I ordered directly, but only because I happened to have all the money My order was well over $1000 with the conversion, but my lovely boyfriend paid for half, so I was able to manage it.

I hope the wait isn't much longer though...I have plans *insert evil laughter here*

 

lol, I wound up placing 2 A-S orders with MoC, one of them being 1100$ and the other being $400 both on a 6 month layaway. Angell-Studio ALWAYS does this to me. They come out with such pretty things and I'm like *grabbyhands*

 

I know!!! Over half the dolls in my current doll plans are Angell-Studio dolls. They're all just so pretty...I want them all! *drools*

 

I'm so addicted to their dolls and clothes! Their bodies are amazing too! And omg their faceups...
